Drove down from Newcastle to purchase a Ford Kuga, after speaking to Dean on the phone i new i was getting a good car before even seeing it. Pulled up and there it was out front looking suberb, the car had new tyres, brake discs and pads fitted so i knew they hadn't just cleaned it up nice they've actually took time to get it in top shape. Jordan was spot on and from previous reviews you can see he knows his stuff. Would recommend anyone to purchase a car from here, great job guys.

I recently bought a 2 seater from Dean at Woodcock. I liked that they are also an MOT station so came with a full ticket. To get this they had fitted new tyres, brake pads, discs and wiper blades. Also the car had a full service logged on the manufacturers website. I had full confidence in Dean as he explained he didn’t sell warranties as they are useless and rarely pay out. If you have a problem we will sort it out was his claim. Well they were to there word and fitted a new battery today and sort the software out for me. I have no doubts about recommending this seller. First class old school service.

I cannot recommend D & J Woodcock highly enough. I bought a Skoda Fabia from them during the second UK lockdown and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The car was VERY competitively priced and then held for a small and fully refundable deposit until I could visit the next day, travelling 150 miles to do so. It was in basically new condition, exactly as advertised, and I was allowed to look around the car and test drive it without the dealer. When I opted to buy the car everything was completed within about 20 minutes. All in all I cannot recommend them highly enough and they will definitely be the first place I look when buying a car in future.

An exercise in how easy car buying should be! That is how I would describe my recent experience at D & J Woodcocks. Tired of the treatment I received at much larger second hand car dealerships, and given that the car I was interested in purchasing was on their forecourt, I visited D & J Woodcock. The car was exactly as described on the website, and actually surpassed my expectations. Garth was a very helpful salesman, not at all pushy, and after accommodating me with a good part exchange deal, we shook on the deal. Handover was completed very quickly and efficiently, and though it is early days, the car is superb. I intend to keep my new car several years, and will return for services etc, and I will not hesitate to recommend D & J Woodcock to anyone in the market for a very clean, well maintained and looked after used car. In fact, when my Daughter passes her driving test, I will be giving Garth a call to see if he can find us a suitable car.

I arranged to view an Audi A4 with 48,000 miles on the clock, on the Monday morning and was delighted to take it out for a test drive in the afternoon. I went back on the Tuesday to complete the deal with Garth and he would arrange collection when it had been MOT'd, Serviced and valeted. I collected the car Friday lunch time and the car looked superb. What they had included in the price unbeknown to me was they changed the cam belt and water pump so very pleased with Garth and the team. I would certainly go back, highly recommended. Updated:- I had the car from 3rd August and it was excellent however it developed a tendency to be labored when I went to start it. I wasn't sure if it was the battery. I took it in and they immediately arranged for the battery to be checked and that passed with flying colours so they arranged for me to take it in and let them keep it and sort it out, in the meantime I had a courtesy car provided. They phoned me the next day to say they had put on a new starter motor and the car was ready for collection. I picked it up the next day and once again they were superb. All under the month warranty provided when I bought it. This really is an excellent Garage and staff the are superb. Further enhancing their reputation. Thank you.

We were looking for a replacement for our old Citroen C2 and saw an Abarth 595 on Woodcock's web site which fitted the bill. Called the garage and they reserved the car for us to see the following day with no hassle. Saw and test drove the car on Wednesday and went back to collect it on the following Friday! The service we received from Jordan and other members of staff was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for them. Jordan offered us a very fair price to PX our Citroen if we needed to and we felt that the Abarth was competitively priced. Don't judge a car dealer on when things go right, judge them on when things go wrong. I bought a car from these guys in January. The service I received from the first phone call was superb. When I arrived at the garage I could see all the cars were immaculately presented and even the surrounding area was clean & tidy. I bought the car straight away, lovely car that was really well presented and advertised at a fair price. It looked, drove & smelled like brand new. Unfortunately for me after a few days I noticed the car had a slight fault. I contacted the garage who asked me to return it asap and gave me a courtesty car. No expense or effort was spared in trying to fix the car but unfortunately through no fault of their own it couldn't be fixed. I was kept updated and informed every few days, and they couldn't apologise enough. They lent me the courtesy car for a full month and reassured me that I could have my money back at any time if I managed to find another car. Lovely cars at affordable prices, personal service and just a good all round honest business. Would buy again from here without hesitation.

Just been to have new tyres fitted. The team were very honest about how much wear there was, telling me I only needed front tyres. They had a look at the brakes and told me they didn't need changing. They offered a variety of tyres, were not pushy about the most expensive, in fact telling me that considering my annual mileage I wouldn't reap the benefits of a branded tyre so they would be a waste of money. [Review from August 2018] Having bought a family car from DJ Woodcock a year and a half ago (see excellent review later in this post) I took the car to them in May 2018 as it developed a metallic rattling noise that I thought might be suspension problems. From my first phone call to Julie their service was impeccable. That same day, they came for a drive to hear the noise, checked the car was safe to drive, had a look at it underneath, found what they thought might be the problem (a problem with a back plate on the brakes), sent me out for a test drive, checked all other brakes completely solving the problem and then told me they didn't need payment for their time and labour as it was a short job! I have to get new tyres and new brake pads in the next few months and I will definitely be going to D&J Woodcock as they have proved trustworthy with a really human ethos. A joy to deal with. We saw a vehicle advertised on Cargurus a site that also evaluates price vs the market value. As we live in Doncaster it was an hour drive to view the car. On arriving at the garage it was clear that the place was cared about, everything was "spot on" from the gardens to the condition of the vehicles. We looked at a VW Tiguan 2015, it was showroom standard, immaculate and very well prepared and valeted. Gareth who looks after sales was an absolute gem, no pressure, just old fashioned face to face conversation. We paid a deposit and collected a week later. If you want dodgy salesmen utilising the hard sell, or if you’re looking for a lot of blah blah then this isn’t the garage for you. From initial phone call to signing for a new motor this was exactly what I’d hope for. A straight talking but friendly salesman who let the car speak for itself. Don’t get me wrong he answered every question asked but there was no hard sell and no nonsense. I’ve been known to walk out of garages due to salesman but Garth was exceptional. The car was spotless exactly as advertised. I test drove it without the salesman and he gave me a good part ex value with no haggling. They sort you the car registration (new and old re-registered online in front of me) they sort the road tax out right there and then and register the RAC warranty. I drove from Manchester to York for this car and wasn’t disappointed. Drove home in my new motor very pleased. I will get back in touch with them when I change up again. We would like to take the opportunity to leave a review for D & J Woodcock, York. We recently purchased a vehicle from D & J Woodcock and the service we received was exemplary. Garth the Sales Manager was very patient and helpful,making the whole experience a pleasant one. We are delighted with the car we purchased and the customer service we received from D & J Woodcock. We would recommend them to anyone purchasing a car.

Buying experience :- I bought from here a prestige make - quite well presented car. Was pleased with it for about a week when a suspension knock appeared. The main dealer I use diagnosed new rear suspension arms, (not just the bushes which are the cheap fix). A week after that was diagnosed a steering creaking followed and this was diagnosed as front strut bearing mounts. As the warranty paperwork did not state either of these faults to be covered I took it to my trusted garage for repair, using genuine parts. Total cost to me after one month of ownership £695. Now maybe if I had contacted them there might have been a goodwill gesture I don't know, but the salesman stipulated at the sale that all warraty repairs "MUST" be performed by themselves. I live a 3 hour round trip away and wanted a known "trusted" garage repair. I might have been unlucky - yet the car had passed it's MOT by themselves before sale - the rear suspension knock was very bad. Cautionary recommended!!

We went to D&J Woodcock to sell my car and the two sales people could not do enough to help even when my car broke down on the test drive. Amazing! Boaght a 1 series BMW for my son in fantastic condition except for a very slight noise. Dean the manager spent two days and replaced a lot of expensive parts until he found it. After giving me a loan car He then delivered the BMW to me himself in Hull from York and filled it with petrol on arrival. He would not leave until I was fully satisfied. In 40 years of buying cars from dealers large and small I have never known a more honest bloke. Note I am not a relation or staff member neither am I being paid for this. This is our second car from them, my wife has a KA with VERY low mileage and my late father always swore by them.
