Merida campervan in Glasgow: FIVE STAR CAMPER - A MUST TRY! It was my first time driving a big van and also my first solo campervan trip, so I was a bit nervous. As soon as I arrived to pick Merida up I instantly felt reassured and excited to hit the road. Allan and Claire were so welcoming and gave a thorough tour of Merida to ensure I was clear on everything. Once I got used to the size, I started to absolutely LOVE driving Merida. She was such a cosy home (the log burner adds that extra special feel for when it's cold and windy outside) and everything you needed is in there. The interior is much more beautiful than any other camper I've seen. Merida really did feel like a home away from home. I would 100% love to take her out again one day. I miss her already! Thank you to Allan and Claire for being so helpful. It was overall a great experience with quirky campers and I highly recommend :)

Picked up van from owners who explained everything in detail regards paperwork along with how items within worked ie power, cooker and heating. Gave direct mobile number should there have been any issues with van (there weren't any) and highlighted a folder which included all the above info should we need it. Had a great 4 days away travelling the NC500 and owner made themselves available for return. Inadvertently left a small item in van however quick message to owner and they will be sending it to us in post. Very happy with service from Quirky Camper site, service from owners and would highly recommend using 'Ozzy' to others"

Ozzy was perfect for a week exploring the highlands with our spaniel. Easy to drive, all the practicalities considered (for cooking and cleaning), and a warm and comfy bed. The hosts were super helpful in giving us a run through of everything before we set off, and contactable the whole time. Thanks so much, we loved it!

Outstanding in every respect! From our welcome by David (and Davey!), the fit, finish and equipment of Hamish and even the capricious-but-merciful weather, we couldn't have asked for more. We saw parts of Scotland we'd never visited in 50 years, and Merlin the dog loved his panoramic view from the cab just as much as we did. Highly, HIGHLY recommended!!!

Tiree was awesome. It was more than what we could have asked for. We had no major problems on the road. The facilities inside Tiree is so convenient and we particularly made use of the wet room a lot as we have been swimming in the lochs. Cooking has been a joy as well as all facilities and utensils for cooking has been meticulously prepared and we never even once bought cooked food outside. We spent a lot of time wild camping and finding ourselves in very beautiful places. We drove a lot of miles and almost reached the north coast without any problems. I will definitely rent Tiree back if I have another chance to do a vanlife camping.

"Had a fantastic 12 days travelling the NC500, a quick spin on Skye and finished in Fort William. 1200 miles of every weather condition Scotland could throw at us and Iona the camper didn’t fail us. Everything that was needed was available from the start of the booking process to the return to base. Definitely recommend quirky campers and Iona and the NC500 +"

I can’t thank Vulcan Van Conversions and Camper Hire enough. I was the fortunate winner of a free 3 night stay in Hamish the campervan. Whilst I wasn’t adventurous in my choice of location……stayed in Aviemore and the surrounding area’s. It allowed me to show my partner and her kids what Aviemore has to offer. It allowed us to make some special memories. Hamish is a dream to drive, has been constructed to ensure all the essentials are to hand and simple to use. Bed is comfy, there’s plenty storage, interior done to a high standard and a fridge for all the drink……or food should you choose. Dealing with David was so good, he’s easily approachable, clear and precise in showing you around the van and always happy to help, genuinely just a phone call away. Couldn’t be happier, highly recommend the company and Hamish the van. I was a fortunate competition winner but will be a returning customer in the future. I apologise for no photo’s, being from Aviemore. I only took pics of us on our day trips.

What a lovely campervan Tiree is. It is well thought out, has everything you need and more. We hired for a week for our honeymoon and headed down to Dumfries and Galloway (beautiful). Our first time and the perfect introduction to life on the road. Our dog was also very much welcomed by Sandra and Roland and a lovely bunch of flowers to congratulate us on our wedding when we dropped the van back. Can't recommend highly enough. "

I think I might be a little bit in love with Hamish! He took us on a magical tour of the Western Isles including Skye, North and South Uist, Eriskay, Barra and Mull. All the details were so carefully considered and he was so pretty to live in, as well as comfortable. "Great campervan - has everything you need to travel and stop over. Very comfortable bed, good toilet facilities (great on a blustery, rainy night!). Everything well explained by Reti (the owner) If you're not used to driving a large van, needs a day's careful driving to get up to speed but otherwise really good fun. Had a really good time and saw bits of Scotland we'd previously not seen before."

We had such an unforgettable time with Hamish during our two-week trip through Scotland! The owners, Anita and James, did everything to help us during our journey. Pick up and drop off was easy and comfortable. They picked us up at the train station (and took us back) and explained everything in detail we needed to know about the van before we started. I drove a small lap with James to get used to the driving with Hamish as I’m used to right-hand traffic. They created a camper van with so much attention to detail. Hamish is very spacious, well equipped, and the bed is so comfy! We had a stone chip damage in the windscreen which was no problem as insurance covered it. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time in Flora exploring the west coast of Scotland .. the van is very easy to drive and managed the single track roads without bother .. our 2 kids loved the double top bunk and the main bed was spacious and comfy .. Flora's very well kitted out and I don't recall needing anything .. all in all a great holiday that I can happily recommend to everyone, thanks K & C, you've a smashing camper!

We had a lovely week in Hamish. It was a great way to explore the West Highlands. He is a delight to drive and we felt very confident very quickly. What an absolute incredible experience we had in Hamish. Hamish took care of us while we ventured around Scotland and saw some of the most spectacular places and views I'll see in my lifetime. Thanks to Anita and James and their amazing work creating Silva. We had a magical get away trip to Skye. The interior is so cosy and the colours and copper so warming it is a lovely space to spend time in. Couple this with a smooth driving van and incredible Scottish landscapes.....We will certainly be back for another trip soon! We highly recommend taking a trip and meeting such friendly people.

Just came back from a magical week trip through the Scottish Highlands (2 hiking lovers - end of March/ beg April) . Silva is a gem, just like her owners : heartwarming, genuine and no fuss. Don't think twice when having the option between several camper-van options for your trip ; this is the one you will always remember and never regret ! "Great fun in Elliot. Would have liked to go wild, and Elliot has good facilities for this but stuck to camp sites because first time in a camper. This camper had everything we needed. Very comfy bed. Not for tall people though, as stated in description. I’m 5’4 and was sharing with my daughter (who said it was her comfiest sleep ever) so it was good for us. Lots of nice additions like fixed draining board above the sink, lots of storage, fridge and small freezer can be left on all the time, loads of water as 2 water tanks. It was cold when we hired and it was toasty inside. The heater wasn’t needed overnight but from a gas supply point of view we could have left it on, good thermostat control. Hardly used any gas despite cold weather and lots of cooking. Nicky is great at answering queries and giving advice. "

We had the most amazing experience with Quirky Campers and with our vans owners Anita & James. Jamie at QC was so helpful and informative when I started looking into planning our trip, he took time to explain my options to me and help me select the best one for us. The booking process was easy and straightforward and every question I had was answered promptly and with friendliness. I chose to book Silva for our Route 500 trip around the Scottish Highlands and once the booking was complete I received a lovely email from Anita and we chatted in the weeks before our trip. She and James are amazing, their camper vans are out of this world and we couldn’t have wished for a lovelier van or a better experience. They were flexible with our picking up/ dropping off time and were so welcoming to us. Everything in Silva was explained to us before we set off on our adventure and they put us at ease being first time camper van drivers. Silva - wow. She’s just gorgeous, every detail has been carefully throughout and installed with passion and love, we loved her quirky little features, glass beads, wood carvings and of course the magical fairy lights with just made the evenings so cosy. The heater was brilliant and when switched on in the evening for an hour kept the van cosy all evening and the gas, water and other features were easy to use. The sofa that pulled into a double bed was so comfy and we could lie in bed overlooking the waves. She was spotless when we picked her up and Anita & James even provided a lovely little basket of tea, coffee, porridge etc to get us started. Storage and shelf space was ample and the little fridge cooler was perfect and the perfect size. We used the hob for brews mostly but you could easily cook a meal if you wanted to. Huge thanks to Quirky Camper and Anita & James for a magical experience. X

It was an absolute joy to call Silva 'home' for the week. I was a little dubious about driving her seeing as my regular vehicle is a tiny Fiat 500, but actually you get to grips with it fairly quickly - and the reversing camera is a massive help! Her owner's have thought of everything, there's enough storage for 2 people's things for a week (at least!) without making it seemed cramped, the little hob works brilliantly and has 3 rings so cooking was nice and simple, and the heater was very appreciated and kept us toasty even during a few blustery and rainy evenings, and the bed is really simple to set up & pack away and surprisingly comfy. All the other little touches are what make her really special - the fairy lights, the map fabric behind the door, the little circular windows, the colourful and quirky furnishings - it simply feels like home. I can't thank Anita & James enough, and the guys at Quirky Campers, they are so lovely and helpful. We're even thinking of now buying our own van, which speaks volumes about how brilliant a time we had! In the meantime, we'll definitely think about hiring again!

We rented Silvia for a few days exploring Skye - Late November weather, wet, cold and windy. Silvia was perfect. Smooth to drive, warm and cosy. Great cooking facilities. Easy to make and super comfortable bed. Lots of attention to detail and creativity in the decor. Anita and James were warmly welcoming and helpful (they even collected and dropped us at the nearest station), more like a family really. Would highly recommend. Thank you !

It’s quirky and fun interior made for a wonderful holiday around the Highlands. James and Anita couldn’t do enough for us- they are so welcoming helpful and warm and always go the extra mile! Silva was a perfect campervan for two people. It has everything you need and after a few days you realise everything in life that is unnecessary. We took a slow ride through Scotland simply enjoying the landscapes outside the windows. Silva provided a shed and warmth when it got cold outside and when it wasn’t we opened the doors to let the sunshine in. To drive around in a campervan is by far the best way to explore a country and Silva is lovely in her quirkyness. :)

Hamish is a wonderful campervan - full of character, very well equipped and drives excellently. Probably not ideal for the very tall though - the fixed bed, whilst very comfortable, is only 175cm long.
