Had a great experience here Sun 15th May 2022. Found this place at the last minute after having problems with the van driver I'd arranged. I spoke to Steph, who was happy to rent me a van for a few hours for £45, explained the procedures clearly, and was hyper-efficient when it came to processing the paperwork. Very low stress. Allowed me to worry about moving my 2 sofas I'd just bought instead of whether a guy was going to turn up. I got the feeling this is a local service run by locals, they just get the job done and don't try to fleece you. Can't speak more highly of them and will definitely be using again when I move house next month!

Friendly service, a van that foes the job and affordable prices. The van wasn't new, but this is not the purpose of this business. The owner was very nice, explained how to drive it, and the rules. Easy to use. Surely recommend it for future works/ moving.

I've used these Van's for years now. Handy if u can drive yourself. Rates I have to say are the best. U can hire for 4hrs £45. Or longer , even 24hrs etc. Standard transit £60. Bigger van, not a 7"5 ton truck lol. But its £65. Deposit is easy on the wallet too. Only £50.

Just like the rest said. Straight forward, family run. More than reasonable hire rates and one thing is for sure, if it was a multi national you used last time then you are in for a treat. I called on Saturday afternoon to book for Sunday morning and there was vans available. Arrived around 08:50AM, signed the paper work and paid £40 for the 4 hours and £50 deposit. The van is no thrills and had it's fair share of wear and tear, but that's exactly what I wanted. I used the van for removing household waste and emptying it all at Sighthill Recycling Centre. I was given van hire documents by The Van Man but I wasn't asked to present them at the recycling centre as the van is branded with the company name.Handed the van back and I was given back the full deposit. I would definitely recommend and use The Van Man again.
