Guys at Avis to rent from were great at this location. They upgraded me to an SUV and explained my insurance policy questions. They are at a good location, where it made it easy to get out of the city to get up to Isle of Skye. I would not recommend renting from Enterprise downtown, read other people's reviews for that location. Enterprise was also more expensive.

Very happy with the service of Avis. Got there early morning and had problems with my European bank card because of brexit regulations. Both the gentlemen were kind and even got a different option which worked and got us our car on the spot. Thanks a lot. All was clear and easy. Car was perfect for a day of driving to the Highlands.

Car hires can be very hit or miss. This is a hit for sure. Excellent service, nice car. They'll call a quick cab for you when you drop off if needed to get you where you need to go.

A very smooth experience booking through Avis. Collection was on a Sunday morning, and although I struggled to contact them over the phone (to confirm they're really open on Sundays), I found them open at 09:00 (think they might open already at 08:00 on Sundays). Collection was very smooth and within about 10 mins we were in the car and ready to go. Return was equally smooth and took about 5 mins. There is a BP gas station nearby to refill before return. They also called a taxi for us to get to the train station, and the driver was there to pick us within 5 mins Great experience. Thank you.

I've been renting there car twice and not only were they courteous, they also upgraded my car free of charge because the didn't have the model I booked. The staff is professional and they offer to just drop the keys in a deposit box. That's handy if you're returning car late at night. The assistant manager Kyle is also very helpful as he understood my travel changes and offered the most budget-friendly option. I feel like these people actually want to help you and not just make money from you. Cheers.

Fantastic customer service. Missed connecting flight at Amsterdam due to covid paperwork and had to update booking . Glasgow office was due to shut at 10.30 so was cutting it fine, but next flight also delayed and didn't land until 10.40. And still had to go through customs etc staff waited to ensure car available to drive to Ayrshire. Thank you !

We had a pre-booked rental here and received excellent service. Our car was ready on time and Mary was very charming on checkout. No problems at all. Definitely clarify after-hours return if you're considering it as we pulled in the night before we were due and ended up just taking the car for the night as we couldn't figure out where to park it. Fairly intense scrutiny on return but nothing unpleasant and all was reasonable. I would use them again without a second thought.

We couldn't have asked for better service. The rental process itself was fast and efficient and the car we received was completely trouble-free. But the thing that sets Avis Glasgow Downtown apart is the customer service. Tom was fantastic! He looked after us when we dropped off a car, and by the time we returned several days later to pick up our next vehicle, Tom had marked up a map for us with his suggestions of great (off the beaten track) places to go, beautiful things to see and fantastic pubs and restaurants. It was service above and beyond, and very much appreciated. Thanks, Tom, for giving us the best possible introduction to Scotland and her incredibly friendly people.

Friendly staff, we had no problems at all picking up the car. We got a clean vehicle in mint condition. The only points of criticism are the additional costs we weren't able to see, book and pay beforehand (full insurance, second driver, fueloptions), but which are expensive. Also, there is a security deposit held on the creditcard, regardless the full-insurance-option. But that applies to all car rental services I suppose.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The car was great and we learned to drive on the left hand side and with a stick shift in our left hand! That was something! Would have been 5/5 barring 2 minor issues. 1) shouldn't be advertised as Glasgow Central Station- there is a message at the end of booking process but just remove the name! 2) on return member of staff sitting behind desk thrashing on a keyboard with a stock response "a colleague will be with you soon" is frustrating! 1 member of staff dealing with all returns whilst you sit in visibility doing nothing to serve isn't good enough! Special thanks to Paul who issued and booked car back in- great example of good service, really well done. Car was as described, almost brand new and of good quality.

If you're downtown, don't plan on walking -- take a cab or share ride as the location is outside of downtown and hard to find. Margaret checked us in, and she couldn't have been nicer. The car we got was exactly what we booked online from the US -- seems new. Completely satisfied and happily recommending this store.

Opposite a couple of others, we had an excellent experience with Avis car hire. The only "thumbs down" is the fact, that it's called Avis Car Hire Glasgow Central Train station. It's really not anywhere near the Central station! The staff were helpful, friendly and very service minded and handled our booking efficiently and professionally! We will not hesitate in using Avis next time we're in Glasgow!

(Translated) We rented a car from them through the Rental Car website for 3 days. The pick-up and delivery was easy and fast. They helped us order a taxi after the car was delivered. They took us £200 as a credit deposit, which they returned after two weeks. They have several insurance packages that you can choose from. They are strict in returning the car at the same time as the pickup time and they told us that any delay will be charged for the whole day. (Original) استئجرنا منهم سيارة عن طريق موقع رينتال كار لمدة 3 أيام كان الاستلام والتسليم سهل وسريع وساعدونا في طلب سيارة أجرة بعد تسليم السيارة، أخذوا علينا مبلغ 200£ وديعة ائتمان أعادوها بعد اسبوعين، يوجد عندهم عدة باقات للتأمين تستطيع اختيار مايناسبك منها. انهم صارمين في اعادة السيارة في مثل وقت الاستلام وقالوا لنا ان أي تأخير سيحتسب عليكم بسعر يوم كامل.
