Rental process was really easy & efficient with the link to upload documents, saving time for customers & staff. The staff member we saw seemed to have some issues with previous customer & he was a bit abrupt when dealing with me. He also didn't appreciate my previous experience in Motor & insurance industry. Had aimed for Focus to get dad's wheelchair in boot but got a Fiat 500, I asked about boot size & got reply with no empathy - that's what you've hired. Not impressed with that, I checked the car & could see it would. Overall, it was a great experience & good rates with easy pick up & drop off. It was a different guy working at drop off who had better customer service skills and was keen to get feedback.

Needed a van to move our furniture between Glasgow to Edinburgh self stores. Hired a big Citroen van with tail lift which was brilliant & just right for the job. The van was easy enough to drive, just need to get used to using the wing mirrors all the time (as a car driver). Everything quick and easy from start to finish. Booking through the phone was simple. The lady took my booking and I was given different options of insurance etc. On the day of pickup I met Billy at the Laidlaw Street office. Friendly chap who processed the rental whilst explaining all the terms etc. LUTON VAN was good to drive and great help to our task. Return of van was easy too and Billy took care of that. The car was a pleasure to drive, and Billy, the desk officer very helpful and thoughtful. Still, the company's policy to refuse my credit card for the deposit was quite deceiving. It is a Credit card at my own name, but with my company's name too. I had to take an extra service for 17 pounds/a day to retrieve the car. Plus, the head office called us to threaten to charge 150 pounds because we took the ferry to Islay which is part of Scotland but it was a misunderstanding they though we were leaving the main land for Ireland. A bit stressful but that put aside, we enjoyed the trip!

First Their car was available on a Sunday which is not easy to find. Second, the price was more convenient than other famous brands of the business. Their car was 2021 automatic, went all the way without any breakdown.Third I was able to extend my hire for 6 more hours without any further burden.

I was very grateful to find a car at Easirent during a busy week in Glasgow. Pick up location a little obscure but my taxi driver got there in the end. Very friendly staff. Car was not totally spotless on collection - more attention needed on the valet. Mat under the driver seat did not fit well and I kept catching on it when changing gear. The service due dashboard alarm was visible. Strong smell of fuel when using airco and with windows open.

Car was new and clean, 2000 miles on the clock. Office a Portakabin on waste land. Booking and payment straightforward. I had my own insurance to cover the excess and I wasn’t pressured into using theirs. They take £1500 off your credit card, refundable when you return the car undamaged. They say it takes 2-3 days for your card to be refunded. 200 mile limit before incurring a mileage charge is not over-generous but we did not exceed it. Return time by 9 am a bit draconian considering we picked up at 10.30 am. Agent not too keen to come out to show us the car, but I insisted and made sure he noted a scrape to one of the alloys. Pump missing from the run-flat tyre repair kit, car otherwise fine. So far no hidden costs, but I’ll add to this review if the £1500 is not refunded in full. Later...Deposit refunded in full although it took ten days rather than three. No hidden charges and no attempt to charge for non-existent damage.

Only grumble is that I didn’t have a credit card and booked through a third party website so I didn’t find it clear that I needed to have one, ended up needing to pay £20 extra per day so not cheap. But as long as you have a credit card to hold the deposit, all good.

Smooth check in to collect the car from the rental centre, where the staff member was friendly and helpful. However, it then became clear that they do not carry out adequate checks on vehicles before handing them over to the customer. As soon as I left the lot, the tyre pressure warning light came on. I returned to the lot and alerted the staff. He reset the monitoring system, stating that it was probably due to the vehicle having had new front tyres recently (which I am not sure was actually the case). He advised me to check the actual tyre pressures. Not long into my journey I did so at a service station and found that the front left was at 23 psi when it should have been 38. So I inflated it (and the others, which were closer to their correct pressures) and reset the monitoring system again. I had no further trouble until the last day of the rental, when the warning returned. I checked and inflated all the tyres (they were all close to their correct pressures this time) and reset the system again. The whole time I had the vehicle it was also reporting an error with the hill start assist. It did not seem to cause any problems but if you were relying on that assistance you would be disappointed. The next day I received a copy of the rental agreement and noticed that the mileage they had entered on the form was more than 100 miles less than what was on the odometer when I collected the vehicle. If I had been expecting to be close to the 100 mile per day limit, this would have been an issue. But I was far under the limit, so it wasn't. There was no ice scraper in the vehicle. In February in Scotland! So i had to borrow other people's. Handover on return was quick and hassle-free. The £1500 deposit held as pending on my credit card had been removed within a few days after returning the vehicle, which is good. If you're going to hire from them, I suggest allowing plenty of time at collection to very carefully inspect the vehicle and the paperwork to make sure everything is as it should be. And allow time to test drive it and potentially return to the collection point in the event of any issues. I also recommend checking tyre pressures ASAP after collection.

Easirent, but not easy-find! Apparently, I should have known the street is now split in two by the M74. If the AA Route Planner knew, it didn't tell me, and obviously since I was hiring a car I was on foot, and it was quite an extra walk! However, I phoned the guy in the office and he was very helpful. The other thing was when I'd booked online, I'd paid extra for insurance so I wouldn't be liable for a very large excess in the event of an incident. The same very helpful guy in the office explained to me that my insurance document, which I showed him, wasn't worth the paper it was printed on, but I could save myself legal hassles if I gave him another £20. So, I did, but I also pointed out to him that it would have been helpful if his advice had been on the website. I think both these things should have been on the website. So, three stars, because helpful people, but a system which left me feeling it had been less easy and more costly than it should have been.

We rented a car from Easirent at Glasgow airport today and the service was first class. We telephoned the office from the airport and the shuttle minibus arrived within five minutes. At the office it took about ten minutes to do the paperwork and then we were taken to our car which was a one year old car in lovely condition, and best of all it was an upgrade at no extra charge from the one that we had booked ! There are some unfair reviews online but most of them relate to additional costs etc which are all explained in the terms and conditions. If people bothered to read them they wouldn’t get any surprises when they picked up their car, but obviously many don’t. It is unfair to post negative reviews if people don’t read the Ts & Cs, so it’s quite simple - READ THEM BEFOREHAND! People can’t go off on one if they can’t be bothered. We travel to Scotland two or three times a year and in the past have used the obvious big hire companies ( At great expense), but no longer as we will be using Easirent from now on.

Aidan at Easirental in Glasgow was very helpful and accommodating during the pickup process. I had forgotten the PIN number for my credit card and he kindly waited on while I rectified the situation. I think that showed excellent customer service. The car was clean but had a few scratches to the paintwork and alloys. Aidan was very transparent about this and encouraged me to take as many photos as possible the following day in the full daylight-which I have done. I am returning the car tomorrow (which has been good to drive with no issues) and sincerely hope that experience is as positive as my initial one.

They clearly run everything on a shoestring. Above all, I just felt sorry for the clearly overworked representative, evidently juggling 3 phone conversations at once whilst processing my pick-up. Rental location is just a portakabin in the corner of a rundown, potholey yard. Worth noting: Full list of required documentation is buried deep in their Ts&Cs rather than being up front in any confirmation emails. Got caught out on proof of address. Apparently required in paper form but the representative accepted a utility bill on my phone, which was great. Need a credit card with a decent limit on it. If you have to pay by debit card then expect to get diddled by overly complex excess liability reduction requirements. Given the low rental rate this can actually add a significant percentage to the overall cost. Drop-off consisted of a thumbs up and a nod as I handed the keys over to the representative, once again clearly overworked. If you arrive early for a rental pick-up time at the start of opening hours, expect to wait at the gate for a bit. Opening time = literally the time the representative gets there to open the gate. Absolutely get what you pay for compared with the other places. What can I say: I arrived, checked in and drove away within 10 mins, had a car that didn't break down, and dropped it off easy enough. Absolute bare essentials of service with zero polish, which is pretty much all the representatives are able to provide under their workload. 5 stars for the representative, did their best under the circumstances they work 1 star for how Easirent appear to treat their staff, operate their business, and provide transparency in their booking process. Ugly, race-to-the-bottom stuff.

Easirent Glasgow could use some upgrades. Their Edinburgh counterpart operated much better. The car we got was at a bargain, but not cleaned properly, with quite a lot of dents and scratches and thankfully I was ready with online check in from my past dealings with them. Their employee was also unaware of the car's buttons.

Hired a long wheel base van. Only one of the rear doors opened which meant the large sofas needed to be loaded from the side door. Unfortunately the side door only opened from the inside which meant that I had to climb over everything numerous times once the van was loaded in order to open the door to unload the van. Generally good service and very good for the price. We did get caught out when we arrived as you need 2 proof of address. They did tell you this in advance but as I'm used to hiring cars I didn't read all the details so missed it as it is not typically required. Based on the conversations we over heard quite a few people seem to get caught out by their requirements for ID. Staff were friendly and helpful but when we returned the car their was only 2 people working so quite a wait to be served. They checked the car very thoroughly before giving to us but we had no problems when we returned it.

Had a Ford Focus for a week for £105! These guys are crazy cheap. We bought our own excess insurance and opted for the "return full" petrol option. We kept under the 700 mile limit for our policy and didn't return the car in a state. We got a free additional driver by leaving them a review on trustpilot. No issues and the guys were friendly. Just follow their rules and there will be no extra charges. Got an Uber to the station for £4.

Here is everything you need to know about Easirent: 1) Their location is behind some student housing to the East of High Street next to an empty lot. The office is quite small and down a small driveway or alleyway. 2) I talked to three different staff people at Easirent and each one was extremely friendly and helpful, over the phone and in person. 3) They will offer you multiple options for insurance, but if you only want to spend 15 pounds and not any more, then tell them this! They can't force you to give them your money. If you don't want to add a second driver, then don't. If you don't want a car seat, don't rent one. 4) Their cars are cheaper to rent than just about any other establishment in Glasgow. 5) They will only take your booking with a credit card, not debit card. This means they will charge you that deductible amount if you wreck the car or get into an accident. If you don't, a few days later the charge is completely removed. 6) The night drop off for the key is a convenience store across the street. However, when I tried to give them the key they had no idea what I was talking about. This caused some worry and I had to come back the next day to give back the key in person. This was worrisome and confusing, but Easirent apologised. 7) If I have to rent a car again, I probably will choose Easirent again, though I'd have appreciated clearer communication about the night time key drop off. All in all - 2 stars for communication, 3 stars for location, 4 stars for price, 3 stars overall.

I have had great customer service from these guys. Expedia messed up my booking meaning that they had no idea who I was when I came. They talked directly with the expedia customer service and got me a free car with upgrade. They respond quickly to phone calls and Inquiries. They have a good location and the cheapest cars in Glasgow. There are a few downsides. 1. Due to offering very good prices they probably operate on a slim profit margin. This means that if you do not follow their instructions which are clearly written and explained to you, you will have to pay extra. It is very easy to avoid this by just reading the terms and conditions and sticking to them. 2. After hours drop of is possible with the keys being deposited at a local store called upay. I did this and felt just a tiny bit uneasy because I did not receive a receipt. To remedy this the company could give the store clerk a prepared card saying that the key had been dropped off. This would have made me more comfortable. Overall Price 5/5 Service 5/5 Professionalism 4/5 Extras and perks 3/5 Conclusion. If you are looking for a cheap car hire with great location and helpful staff this is your place. The downside is that if you can not read and follow rules you may have to pay extra charges.

We had a marvelous experience with Easirent. Chris in particular was wonderful. The online booking process was easy, facilitated by the option for advanced uploading of travel documents. The facility itself, while in a bit of an industrial part of the city, was a quick taxi drive from downtown. Once there, Chris was very helpful in ensuring everything was in order and we had the right vehicle despite our own confusions! And you can't beat the price. Great prices. Some strange requirements but you will have zero issues IF you stick to their term & Bring everything they ask for in their confirmation email. I booked a regular 5 seater car & we got a huge, comfy, brand new SUV. This location looks dodgy but the guys working there are genuine & not looking to cheat you. Important tips/info: - get there minimum half hour before pickup/drop off time. Only 2 guys working so very busy. - if you have prepaid, you MUST bring the card used to pay. - UK residents MUST bring 2 different pieces of proof of address PLUS license & national insurance number. We emailed them copy of credit card statement & utility bill. - Refuelling must take place within 5 miles of branch. I recommend the Asda pumps at parkhead. - No debit cards accepted if you decline additional insurance. Otherwise £1200 deposit on your credit cards. This is standard procedure for rentals in UK despite other reviews complaining about this.

Complainers in other reviews need to read the Easirent T&C's. They may sound quite draconian but if you are prepared to understand them you are getting a very good deal. Just remember you need a Credit Card (not debit) if you do NOT wish to take out additional insurance cover. The £30 petrol charge is actually a convenience as you will invariable end up putting petrol in the car anyway. The Toyota Aygo I was given was spanking new (less than 6 months old) and extremely economical. Both collection and return was painless for me (despite other irate people complaining about hidden charges). No one charged me any other hidden fees. I paid the given price in advance and didn't have to pay for anything else. The only minus is that I did not receive a rental confirmation or instructions on how to proceed in the event of an emergency. (when handing over the car, I was promised this by the rental company employee. Otherwise I can only recommend. I would definitely use the services during my next visit to the UK. Rychlé vyřízení a vyrazil jsem na cestu po Skotsku. Vrácení auta bylo rychlé. Vozidlo jsem umyl ale nevstihl jsem vyluxovat. Personálu byl velmi milý a ochotný. Nikdo mi nenaúčtoval žádné jiné skryté poplatky. Zaplatil jsem dopředu danou cenu a za nic jiného jsem již nemusel platit. Jediné mínus je to, že mi do e-mailu nepřišlo žádné potvrzení o zapůjčení nebo instrukce jak postupovat v případě mimořádné události. ( při předání auta mi to bylo slíbeno pracovníkem půjčovny. Jinak mohu pouze doporučit. Určitě bych využil služeb i při další návštěvě UK.
