Simon and Jay deserve an award for patience dealing with me this week. As a complete novice, they advised , instructed and supported my project to make a living edge bench from a piece of raw yew. I recently had an issue whilst trying to carry out 'garden improvements' and James at Smith Equipment Hire in Formby went above & beyond to advise and help me out. We were trying to get a tree stump out. When I rang the man I spoke to was very helpful and suggested we took some photos of what we wanted to do and come in. We did this and he recommended a reciprocating saw . We sorted it so we could hire on the Friday. Friday morning I went in , shown how to work it and then he carried it to my car and put it in the boot. It worked brilliantly and very quickly we had the root out. When I returned it later on again it was carried in to the store from my boot. I didn’t need to go in . Thanks for such great service ( sorry I don’t know his name )
