Overall they've been great. The first car they gave me has dodgy electrics even though it was a brand new car. The second car is fine no issues but is still dented and bruised as it were by previous drivers. I'll be returning the car on Sunday so let's see how that works out. So far so good and good value for money

Hired a 9 seater bus, clean inside but it was a bit battered outside which doesn't actually make any difference. It drove fine. One downside is that it's your responsibility to check the levels in the car each day, bit of a task. One of the ladies at reception was very helpful and patient, one of the other ladies was irritated and unhelpful. You can drop the vehicle back easily enough after hours

Cheap and cheerful, hired a Lutton only downside is the pick up and drop off at 8am so if ypu collect at 11 am you still have to return at 8 am

Cheap in every sense of the word, but I'll take it! Pretty good value for reasonably maintained cars. Not very flexible around timings - it's always 8am to 8am, so expect a queue at these times.

Rented an LWB Transit van. Straightforward rental & return of van. Deposit returned next-day without quibble, but I had to call up and confirm this had been done, there's no confirmation from them that they're returning it. Online booking process is easy, but their policy is ridiculous; you still need to call them to confirm availability of van on the day. Defeats the purpose of having online booking at all. 2 stars taken off due to this. You get a code which you can use to access the parking lot even after-hours, which is really convenient. Sunday staff didn't really look like they wanted to be there, but I can't really blame them!

I’ve rented here four or five times over the years, various sizes of van- and every time the experience has been great. After hours return is available, and has come in handy every time. I consider the rates to be good value.

My friend recommended Kendall Cars to me, the prices were by far the most competitive, the process was simple for me, and I’m on a South African driver’s license. The staff were friendly. The car we got was perfect for us, there were no issues with it, and I received my deposit back the day after returning it. Would highly recommend and I won’t be going anywhere else in future.

I hired a car very last minute for a long weekend. Really easy process and the car was a modern '18 reg Hyundai with a usb port which I was really happy about. No queue to pick up mid afternoon and plastic screens/mask policy in place. We ended up returning the car first thing Monday morning rather than Sunday and didn't get a chance to talk to anyone as I just dropped the keys in the return box but they took a very reasonable sum off the deposit to cover the extra hours. I'd definitely use Kendall Cars again!

Recommended by a friend and was left really impressed with their service and friendly and knowledgeable staff. When comparing against other suppliers I thought there must be a catch. I half expected the Mini convertible to be a 1982 model as I paid £114 for 3 days hire but it was brand new. In comparison, a Fiat 500 from Europcar costs £343! Definitely use again.

Had contacted prior by telephone and they were lovely and really helpful! Registration was easy and the team were great and efficient. Got to drive a lovely mini car; which was spotless and in great condition. Was such good value; really recommend and will be renting again!

I've used kendal many times and usually cannot fault them on the cars and vans provided. Unfortunately my latest rental is due for retirement soon I'd hope. Vans doesn't include Bluetooth which I thought was a standard these days. If I hadn't signed for the van before seeing it I would have rejected it and asked for a vehicle with some basics included.

Good, pleasant, helpful service from nice people. I was treated very fairly over an insurance issue. The vehicles were in good condition. My only problem was not being able to find how to open petrol cap on one vehicle and backdoor on another but probably down to me not asking enough questions and being unfamiliar with this type of vehicle. Recommended.

This place is as cheap as chips. Great service and a huge selection of vehicles. It’s a bit out of the way, about 15 mins walk from the tube. And you are treated a bit like a number rather than a person. Perfunctory service, if you are lucky you may get a smile as they process your paperwork. I used these all the time when I needed a hire car. Great place.

Cheapest car rental place I could find in the area. I used their services several times. Pick up time is not flexible so make sure you are there early morning. Once, the car they got ready for me didn't start at all in front of their office. They replaced the car with an upgrade, but I don't have any confidence in their car maintenance any more. Call the number they give as soon as possible if you have any trouble with the car. They increase prices significantly on holidays. Overall, it's good value for money.

Got a really nice car at a really nice price for four days hire, the only reason it’s not a five star review is they start you in 1/4 tank fuel and you have to bring it back on 1/4 tank. It feels like a poorly conceived rip off so people overfill the car. Surely full tank out and full tank back would be much fairer...

Good car rental company, excellent value for money. The cars tend to be a bit older than the usual car rental companies, but as long they are clean and safe I don't see any problem. It can be slow when picking up a car in the morning.

Cheap car rentals. Some staff member are useless. We had to register as drivers few times since they can not find us on their system. As well some cars have damage. But i suppose that’s what you get for a price you pay. So we will use it again. As well it’s nice to support a privet business rather then rent from a huge company.

Quick and easy rental company. No fuss no drama. 10/10 will use again if I need to use a van again. I got charged by TFL for CC which I had paid so I was also charged by Kendall Cards. After TFL confirmed this was a mistake Kendall Cars refund the charge. Very good location too, right next to the Tram stop, a few mins from Wimbledon train station.

I wanted to hire my first convertible car and having searched on line for a hire company in East London where I live Google came up with Kendall Cars. I have to say that the hours travel to Wimbledon form Walthamstow did not matter. As soon as we arrived the staff were efficient and very friendly and professional . The admin and insurance details were comprehensive and easy to understand and the guy who inspected the car was extremely efficient at pointing out the most minor of scratches etc. The car was a dream to drive and was lovely and clean both inside and out. The return process out of hours was great too:) I would really recommend Kendall for the reasons I stated above. .We cant wait to hire that Mini again:) .Simon

I've been to almost every Kendall's branch and this one is, by far, the busiest. Conversely, it means you have a better chance of getting the vehicle you want. There can be a long wait at peak times so get there early and queue up.

Kendall cars are very friendly and have a large selection of people carriers/vans/minibuses available. One of the few established companies in London to hire up to 14 seater without the need for a D1 licence. Can hire with a normal licence. Most branches offer 24 hour vehicle drop off. I would have given 5* a few years ago but have a new policy of only taking a minimum hire duration during peak season such as summer and school holidays so it can be difficult to hire for one or two days during holidays. Preference is given to longer duration ie one week. Shorter hire during summer is only given if vehicles are available and not been prebooked and you cannot do any advanced booking. Can only book within 1 week. Usually at the discretion of the branch. Best to speak to senior or manager to arrange if staff are saying straight up no.

I've used Kendall quite a few times. I go back to them for the price, they're definitely cheap, but there have been a number of incidents that have made me think about not using them again. I agree with the comments about rude staff and lack of social skills. also they have lost my bookings on more than one occasion, and only by chance did they still have a vehicle that I needed.
