We feel incredibly lucky to have found Brightview Lofts. Luke and his team have done an amazing job building a hip to gable roof extension with two dormers, two Velux windows and an en suite bathroom – in the National Park. They have shown great craftsmanship, an eye for detail and a super work ethic – turning up on time everyday without fail and then leaving the house even cleaner than they found it! They were the most competitive of the 3 quotes that we got and they stuck to the price - keeping us updated and asking for the money in instalments. Luke’s years of experience meant he could suggest things that we hadn’t thought of and his initial recommendation to use Julian Adams as an architect meant we had a superb plan for him to work from. Having been let down in the past, we were nervous about having lots of different tradespeople in our house, but Luke surrounds himself with professional, good people from Jason and Charlie who were part of the build team, Dave the electrician, Lewes the tiler, Paul the roofer, the plumbers and Luke’s dad Richard who is a brilliant plasterer. This all makes a huge positive difference when you are having people in your home for 3 or 4 months! We would definitely recommend them to anyone and really appreciate all their hard work.

What can we say other than a brilliant experience from start to finish of dealing with Luke, Jason and Charlie from Brightview Lofts! We initially made contact for a quote through the usual search engines and had seen that a friend had work done previously, so they came highly recommended. We were in the process of obtaining architectural plans at this stage and Luke was helpful in pointing out considerations along with possible options to suit our requirements with a ball park figure of costings. Plans were drawn up by Julian Adams who if you are considering a loft conversion, look no further! Julian is helpful, has vast experience in loft designs and deals with submission of plans for building regulations. Our conversion included a hip to gable with a 2 bedroom dormer alongside a new roof. The work was booked in to start from early June and considering this was a few months away, Luke stayed in regular contact, not only to see if plans were in place but to ensure we were happy with the design or had any queries – which, if we did, he promptly clarified. Budget wise, Luke was open and honest throughout and regular staged payments were made as required in accordance with the forthcoming stage of work. There wasn’t any nasty surprises! Once the work had started, the team arrived promptly at 8am each day and would keep in contact throughout to advise of forthcoming delivery of materials. They were all polite and friendly not only to our family but mindful of impact to neighbours. Noise and mess cannot be avoided with this type of work but they ensured a tidy environment and would let us know in advance of any expected disruption which was appreciated as we have a young family. Other workers who were brought in were just as welcoming and efficient at their jobs, including Paul the roofer and Dave the electrician – thank you. The team provided regular updates on progress along with potential options – nothing appeared too much trouble and improvements from the design were suggested and taken on board. For example, in our new bathroom, Luke suggested to make this slightly bigger than planned to allow for sufficient access. Like most things in life, the key to the finished article is in the detail and we all feel that these little touches, helped to make our conversion a fabulous improvement to our property. If you are considering a loft conversion, look no further than Brightview Lofts – we can’t recommend them highly enough and were sad to see them go on completion of the work. Luke, Jason and Charlie have become part of the furniture here! Thank you.

Brightview Lofts Ltd are a really brilliant company. Their work is of a really high quality. They are courteous, do not play loud radio, don't swear on site, are really nice chaps, get along well with each other and are small enough that the same people are on site every day. They went over and above to make our house look great, adding features that they themselves thought about and added, and we are actually more pleased with the results than we knew we would be. They also did the job and all snagging speedily. I genuinely feel like I can't recommend them highly enough, especially considering some other quotes we had had. Book them before they get too busy!

We could not be happier with our new loft conversion and the overall service and experience we received from Luke and his team at Brightview lofts. We chose to go with Brightview, after meeting a few builders and receiving a number of quotes, due to the relaxed and genuine conversations we had with Luke about our ideas for the loft conversion. We found he was willing to discuss different ideas and layouts and eager to take on new challenges. Working with Brightview, a small company, we found more personable and trustworthy without ever having any pressure put upon us. From the start Luke and Jason were a pleasure to have around in the house, very respectful and incredibly tidy – cleaning and tidying up at the end of each day. Without fail they arrived promptly every morning with Luke overseeing and taking ownership of every aspect of the build. We were impressed by the quality of the workmanship of all the tradesmen he contracted in as well as how courteous they were in the house (particularly given it was in Covid times and we were expecting a baby). Luke is a very skilled carpenter and although having to overcome a number of set backs that were out of his control he managed to keep to the timeline for the works he had originally given us – this was particularly important to us due to us expecting a baby around this time. We were incredibly impressed, especially given such a small team, what they managed to achieve in a relatively short period of time. Our new bedroom, bathroom and walk in wardrobe has absolutely surpassed our expectations and we could not recommend Brightview enough!

Brightview Lofts completed a hip to gable loft conversion with dormer for us in November 2019 and we’re so pleased with the end result. Luke, Nick and their extended team were great - friendly, professional & courteous. There was minimal disruption & mess/dust whilst the work was being carried out and the guys were brilliant at tidying up and securing everything at the end of each day. Our neighbours also commented on how polite the team were & how tidy they kept the site. We’re really happy with the work carried out. We made a few changes & additions as the work progressed, and appreciated all the advice we were given and the solutions that were found for our requirements. Brightview Lofts have recently completed a hip to gable loft conversion with full width dormer for us, and we’re really happy with the work carried out. The whole process was made easier by excellent communication throughout, with great attention to detail. All the extended team Nick & Luke work with did a fantastic job, and all were friendly and professional. We were able to tweak the finer details as the work progressed, and appreciated all the advice we were given; these guys really know what works in a loft conversion. Another thing we appreciated was the extra improvements we asked for along the way, all completed at very reasonable cost. The initial quote was very competitive too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brightview Lofts, even if you have to wait a little while until they’re available, I’d say it’s worth that wait to have them do your loft conversion.

Nick and his team have just completed an extensive loft conversion for us and we are very pleased with the result. The quality of the work is excellent, and the final cost has been exactly as quoted (apart from a few small extras that we asked for along the way). Nick and his employees and contractors have all been very friendly and polite and we have had no complaints from neighbours regarding noise, vehicles, etc. The project did take slightly longer than expected, and there were some minor delays along the way with suppliers, etc, but this is only to be expected with a fairly large project, so be prepared for this possibility. Communication between Nick and ourselves throughout the project has been very good - Nick has always kept us updated and always checked with us when any decisions are needed. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brightview Lofts to anyone who needs a loft conversion or similar work carried out.

From the fantastic Carpenter Luke, Nick, the Plasterers, Electricians,Plumbers and Roofer they all have done a brilliant Job !
