Used Southwark Handyman as an emergency call out after returning home to find my washing machine had (and still was) leaked through to the below flat. Steven dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently and even took the time to visit and calm down my neighbour and check over her electrics too. Very professional and reassuring, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

100% reliable. Happy to recommend. I'm adding to my review which I left a year ago to add that after having done such a great job for me ( lots of different jobs that come with moving house), I booked him again even though he's 30 miles + outside my area. Steve put together lots of flat pack furniture, mounted TVs to the wall, put up blinds and tiled my bathroom to enable a shower to be mounted to the wall. A pic of his handy work is below. He gives really good advice/suggestions and goes the extra mile. Happy to recommend 👍🏿

This was great. Firstly Stephen actually answered the phone ( a real person when I had been getting answerphone after answerphone from other advertised "emergency" handymen). Secondly he was here within the promised time of 40 minutes...actually 5 minutes earlier than his estimate . Thirdly he was nice, friendly, wore a mask and shoe covers ( (and obviously work clothes too!) and fixed the emergency problem quickly and effectively. I had opened the sash window in my bedroom too low and it was stuck fast on wide open ( which given the fact that the other night we were in below freezing temperatures was not an option ). Stephen fixed it effectively and quickly. Highly recommended!Will call him again in my next emergency...

Steve really saved my bacon after I had been let down by a national company. At very short notice, he was able to disassemble and reassemble 2 beds and move them to different rooms. Dispose of a sofa and move a heavy electric chair from upstairs to downstairs. They charge by the hour and what I had expected was at least a 2 hour job. They finished in just over an hour. Now everything is ready for my Mum to come home from hospital in time for Christmas.

I came across Steven's business on Twitter, and have now asked him to do work at my home twice, with requests ranging from installing a new oven; to repainting my bathroom; to furniture assembly; to plumbing work to resolve issues with pipes - he has the skills to do it all. Steven's work is of exemplary quality. Because he takes such pride in his craftsmanship, he never cuts corners and is absolutely meticulous in ensuring the job is done thoroughly, accurately, and without any mess whatsoever. But perhaps even more importantly, Steven is completely honest - I have no concerns about leaving my keys with him if I am out, and trust him 100%. I shan't be asking anyone else to do any work at my home, and have already recommended his services to friends around London and the M25. Delighted to have found such a decent, honest and highly skilled individual!

Matt from Southwark Handyman Services was on time and personable. He was protective of our floors and carpets. He figured out a cheaper way to fix one of our problems. The work was done well and within the 2 hour estimated time frame. Fast and efficient; friendly and accommodating. It was refreshing to have a handyman show up, fix the problem and allow me to ask questions about what he was doing. He was willing to pause during the work to inform me what was going on and how I wanted to proceed. A great experience overall. Unlike many other handymen services who have previously come to our home he did not create any problems that weren't present before he came. We would use this services again.

Great service, highly recommended. I booked a visit on Weds afternoon and Steven arrived on time the following morning. He's an absolute dynamo, friendly but keen to get on with the job. He hung 7 pictures of various sizes in 30 minutes, emailed an invoice on the spot and left. A refreshing change from the traditional tradesman experience.

Steven is an exceptional person! I Googled Herne Hill electrician, got his number, called him to ask for a quote on some simple electrical work. After establishing that I knew enough electrics to do the job myself he face-timed me and diligently talked me through the work! Amazing! His instruction was clear and simple and he was on-hand to check that it all looked right. Saved me a lot of money and saved him a lot of time! Not every skilled person would go to this much trouble, can't thank him enough! 😃 He's the first person on my list when there's any job I can't manage myself. Highly recommend!

Steven the managing director goes above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction unlike other companies with who I applied an apprenticeship with. Steve thank you again for saving Xmas and probably my relationship with my girlfriend. A few days before Xmas my bathroom and kitchen - newly decorated but actaually bare - needed things like bathroom rails, wall mountings and fittings plus my kitchen window was exposed for all to see. I am completely useless at these sort of things and I didn't want to ruin the newly painted walls. My girlfriend was getting more and more frustrated as Xmas was around the corner and we had family coming around as we were hosting that years xmas do.
