Reviews of Lantana Shoreditch

Lovely breakfast this morning. Great coffee, good service that wasn't overbearing as it can be sometimes in restaurants, and the food was delicious! The avocado poke bowl was so fresh and tasty and my friend really enjoyed his tacos. Highly recommended
N.
Casual site offering Australian food. Especially popular for brunch. There are loads of healthy (vegetarian and vegan) food options as well as meaty dishes, alongside smoothies, juices, coffees. They also offer a bottomless brunch option with either cocktails (£36 pp) or coffees & juices (£30 pp), which both include any brunch dish. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
D. W.
Visit and try their amazing menu! They have plans based and many other delicious dishes to choose from. We have gone for bottomless brunch (obvs!) our waitress Greta, went above and beyond to make our visit pleasant. She has recommended her favourite dishes and dessert, as well as she was always around with bottle of Prosecco ready. Very nice place, from breakfast to dinner and drinks. We’ve had “the best poke bowl” in London, delicious eggs Benedict and hot brownie. Could not ask for more.

Aussie-style brunch place. This was my second time to Lantana (The first time was to Lantana Fitzrovia) and personally I find food at Lantana are lil more on the healthy side with smaller portion (compared to brunch places of similar concept e.g. Daisy green’s restaurants), in other words you might find the food is tad bland or feel hungry even after a meal. But I don’t mind returning one of Lantana branches - safe option for brunches in London if you managed to book the table (always competitive to book one on weekends in all of their locations)
D. Z.
A fun, trendy cafe in a cool part of London. Lantana is part of the Australian cafe craze that’s taken over London and the food is what you’d expect - corn fritters, veggie breakfast with smashed avocado, French toast with a twist - all done to a consistently high standard which makes this place a reliable brunch spot. Super friendly service as well! Make a reservation in advance because the place is buzzing, especially on weekends.
J. G.
Really nice place with outdoor covered seating. Lots of food options, with a good choice of vegan veggie options.
I had the mushrooms on toast, which was nice.. the only thing I'd say is they charge the same price without an egg and don't allow you to swap egg for something else (vegan option)
My friend had the veggie big breakfast, which she loved. Good portion size
Service was really good, would recommend
D. T.
Coffee is very good. Interior is nice and relaxed. The food was mediocre. The price of a small can of beer was £5.50. Presentation of the food is nice but I’ve been a few times & just haven’t found the food satisfying for the price.
J. A.
Great little spot with an interesting combination of middle Eastern and Asian food. Everything was fresh, interesting and full of full of taste. Our Asian pork belly was one of the best I tasted in London. To top it all up service was quick and friendly and prices were actually OK considering the area. I do recommend booking in advance unless it's Monday as its always full.i will definetly return to try the weekend brunch if I manage to get a booking in.
S. B.
Delicious brunch, food was absolutely incredible. Kept glasses filled up, we had a guy who was on his first shift and he gave great service :-) thanks!
A. S.
Nice place for brunch.
Avocado on toast was fantastic, and the service was really awesome.

Amazing food. We visited London for the weekend, and ended up having brunch 3 mornings in a row here because it was so so good! Huge portions. The corn fritters are amazing. It’s 100% my favorite breakfast spot I’ve ever been to.
We would also like to give a shout out to the lovely waitress with the glasses who worked over the weekend and today (Monday 20th) she was so friendly, bubbly and all over a huge asset to the company. She smiled from start to finish and was so enthusiastic and had such a lovely aura about her. 5 star service. Thank you!
E. M.
Amazing. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is superb and the options are plentiful. Me and my 3 friends did the bottomless brunch and I didn't want to drink - usually in places you ALL have to do the same option i.e. alcoholic but here you can do either which is super appreciated. 100% coming back again.

Sunday brunch 😋 Great atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff! Great choice of fabulous food! Highly recommended!
C. C.
We visited on a Sunday morning around 11am; as there was only two of us we got a table but I'd recommend booking.
The menu was good with full English, French toast and unlimited prosecco brunch options.
The service was good, although breakfast took a while to arrive - maybe that's a weekend relaxing thing! The interior was relaxed and informal with a nice atmosphere.
Our coffee arrived quickly and was very good (and pretty!). Food was nicely presented and tasted fresh. Would definitely go back to try the cakes!!
J. L.
Great place for brunch. Had a hard time deciding what to get because everything seems so nice. Enjoyed the food a lot! The coffee was a little bit on the fruity side and I prefer more bitter/nutty. Quick and precise service from the staff!
G. N.
Great coffee, lovely atmosphere/layout (good for work or just for brunch), tasty food options (ordered Indonesian fried rice), friendly staff - definitely a place to visit!
N. D.
The food was delicious! I couldn’t choose what to try! So many vegetarian/vegan options. Every plate is very healthy, but the portions are good. I got a cauliflower bowl with quinoa and grilled halloumi, so yummy! I had better Bloody Mary, but the tomato juice seemed fresh!
Great for an healthy, diet oriented, brunch with friends.
M. O.
The vibe of this place is so relaxed and the food is great. I like the wide selection of hot drinks: infused teas, matcha tea, chai lattes and coffees, along with a range of non-dairy milk options. The menu is varied with plenty of choice, and the bakery/cakes section looks great. The chef who designed the menu created interesting and delicious pairings, and I'll be back to try the homemade 'oreo' biscuits with a tahini filling. I especially loved the courgette & cheddar bread! It's a must try. It was so moist and flavourful! I'm happy they have it as an additional side option.
J. B.
Really enjoyed this place. I went there for brunch for a friends birthday. If I’m being honest the food is a bit expensive however for the price we paid the food didn’t disappoint. So it would be harsh for me to deduct a star. I had the corn fritter and added a poached egg which was a additional cost and it was really nice. Salty flavour of the bacon brings everything together. If you do plan on visiting I would advise calling up beforehand as the place was full
S. K.
I thought this place was great! As a solo diner the service was great and the food very tasty. They have a smaller menu, but there was still great vegetarian options. The coffee was smooth and fantastic. I had the mushroom toast and cappuccino, very Australian indeed! Everyone in the place looked like they were having a great time. Londoners really know how to Saturday brunch, it sounded like the 4th of July with all the sparking wine going off!
E. J.
Great food, excellent presentation, good service. However the prices were a bit extortionate...nearly £4 for a side portion of avocado and the same for an orange juice (which was mainly filled with ice). I love a good brunch and the food was tasty, but the prices would put me off going back.
C. C.
Very lovely food with its own twist. Good value. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great ambience. Would definitely go back!!
V. B. A.
I was planning to come for breakfast, but couldn’t make it in time, so I ordered off the lunch menu instead (there were still some breakfast items on the lunch menu). The interior was cozy, but still had a lot of natural light coming in through the windows, which made for a comfortable space for chatting over food & drinks. For the food, I ordered the corn fritters with halloumi. It was delightful, especially the crisp fried halloumi and the creamy salad dressing! My sister ordered the chicken schnitzel katsu, a fusion dish which was comprised of a crispy chicken cutlet on a bed of curry sauce with a side of Asian slaw. I tried a bit of it, and it was mostly delicious, except for the strangely overpowering curry sauce. My sister opted to add a side of fries with gochujang aïoli, which was amazing! For drinks, I ordered a warm, nourishing cup of chai turmeric latte. My sister ordered a peanut butter banana shake, which was creamy & scrumptious. Overall, Lantana Shoreditch is a great place to hang out at!
J. F.
Really really enjoyed the food there. Halloumi, salsa, pouched egg and some deliciously homemade courgette bread all wrapped up in ribbons of spicy chipotle sour cream...what is there not to love about this healthy but satisfying signature dish? Not to mention, the smashed avocado was divine as well.
There were two things that could use some improvements though: 1) the coffee was way too bitter, and 2) the waiter definitely had an attitude. Comparatively, the Fitzrovia shop gives you a much better feel overall.
S.
Nice menu, good service. I like their coffee too.
m.
Solid bottomless brunch. Waitresses were diligent are refilling and all rules were laid upfront. Fun atmosphere too. Food was good looking and solid enough, but not the best brunch I have had. The banana bread should be toasted and with butter if they claim to be an Australian restaurant - sadly it was also a bit dry. Overall good though and would recommend to try.
S. P.
Cosy place with good ambience. It usually gets busy and we had to wait for around 20 mins for a Friday lunch. Food comes out pretty quick and the flavours are all there. Few observations from my side while I was there:
- there is not much of a waiting area even though the seating area is big. You may leave your number with them so they can call you when a table is available
- I had read reviews on them being short staffed and I can say it is an issue indeed. The ratio of tables to staff is disproportionate and you may find yourself looking for someone to attend to you
- we had the chicken shawarma and cauliflower shawarma dishes which look quite exotic and have the appearance of healthy food being on a bed of kale and seeds and grains but the chicken and cauliflower both were quite oily being deep fried. It's good for a binge eat rather than for a calorie conscious person
- the food that comes out is plated by a staff member without wearing gloves. For hygienic reasons I would like to see staff wear gloves while plating and ideally separate members of staff handling vegan and vegetarian food.
M. S.
Got the wild mushroom toast to go and it was amazing! Perfect level of spice and crunch! The egg was also cooked perfectly and it was topped with plenty of mushrooms! Overall very please :)
C. P.
Delicious food and really nice place! We did the boozy brunch and they were very generous and helpful with a big group
L. E.
Lovely restaurant, really good service and kind staff who let us stay until closing. The food was delicious, really fresh ingredients and great flavours, also had a fab bottle of wine!
O. M.
The food here is great and I've been here on a few occasions for meetings over lunch. Can be a bit noisy add it's open plan with wooden floors. Their dessert choices are great too. They take card payments as well.
M. K.
A nice cafe next to the Old Street with good selection of drinks, positive atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended as a great venue to meet with friends and colleagues.0
Pros: location next to the Tube and bus stops, long working hours, wheelchair-free entrance.
Cons: a small extra-charge per bill (£0.56) for something not completely clear. I believe it is for a receipt under £5 or something similar.
N. A.
Great place for a light lunch including lunch meeting. Very busy during lunch time on weekdays as a lot of local workers. Great selection of food and drinks and reasonable price.
Y. T.
I’d recommend The Big Bubble on the “Weekend Brunch Menu” adding in avocado and halloumi. Accompanied with one of the cocktails or OJ Freshly Squeezed Juices.
The poached Egg is one of the best I’ve come across thus far and it was flavoursome food throughout!
A. P.
Fabulous for quick and healthy work lunches. They do great fresh juices (Sunshine Coast is a favourite) and amazing coffee.
R. P.
Beautiful, creative, and appetizing selection of dishes. The Buddah Bowl, to which I added a poached eggs, was perfectly crafted; both a treat to the eyes and the palete. The staff is attentive and friendly. A highly recommend it, and look forward to returning.
D. S.
Went for brunch and really nothing special. Ingredients are fresh and food well put together but nothing really jelled.
Fairly priced, service was ok. Didn't do anything wrong or right.
Lots of mid/large groups so seemed to work for the birthday/been parties in there.
R. S.
Nice decor and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was ok but expensive for what it was and some things just didn't go well together (such as the spinach and muhammara with the big bubble) but they won't let you change items.
A. J.
Lovely pictures outdoor seating all socially distanced. Great deal on at the moment mon-wed where you get a main, side, starter or dessert and a soft drink for £10!! Oh and food is amazing too.
B. D.
This is a nice brunch place, with a large court yard that would be nice in summer.
The food was tasty, and the portions were good for the price. The duck confit was especially enjoyable.
The service was friendly but the drinks unfortunately were quite slow to arrive, and had to be chased multiple times.
The price was normal for a brunch place in central London.
I would recommend this place and be back again!
K. P.
Hung over and tired on a Sunday afternoon, we stumbled on the place because of the people waiting outside. Nice tasting food and warm friendly staff. Just a little expensive for us.
J. H.
My favourite place for brunch. Don't hesitate, just go!
S. G.
Has to be one of the best places I've been for brunch, had the French toast with a freshly squeezed orange juice. We arrived on a Sunday morning and it was fully booked (good sign, will definitely book in the future), the waitress was happy to take our order and do take away, very friendly and helpful :) will definitely be back if in Shoredich again
S. S.
Delicious food for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Stumbled upon this as a complete surprise, end up having most of my business breakfasts here.
Attentive staff, large menu choice and fresh ingredients. Can't ask for more.
Not a bargain but not overly expensive, definitely give it a try and you'll find yourself coming back here more often.
R. P.
Food was amazing. Service fast. Had no idea what I was eating as it was all called fancy things
S.
The schnitzel was really good and surprisingly novel. I ordered a fried egg, but they forget to put it in the end, so portion was relatively small. All the food look and serve quite interesting, so definitely worth to try.
m.
Food was delicious. It wasn't too crowded staff were attentive; perhaps overly because our waitress wanted to clear our plates before we'd finished, but all forgiven cos the food was delicious. Coffee was good too.
A. L.
Fast to take our drinks order but took an age to take our food order as we were seated in the far corner next to a massive group on a stag do. Brunch and coffee as it should be but nothing mind blowing!
A. L.
Great place for brunch. I had the fritters with haloumi - dish tasted yum and healthy. They have some pretty cool fruit drinks too
R. T.
Wonderful service and nude coffee. Did was good; not what is normally choose but I couldn't fault it for taste or presentation. Perfect for vegetarians and vegans. Misses the extra star because the seats are hard and uncomfortable.
j. d.
Good place for brunch if you are looking for mixed culture food
E. W.
Good food, good coffee!
Allergen menu available on request which for vegetarian coeliacs at first didn’t seem to have very much option, but the waiter informed me that they have gluten free bread and most of the things where bread was the source of gluten could be made gluten free.
The staff also asked me to clarify whether I was intolerant or coeliac - which gave me some confidence at the beginning of the meal before ordering.
And as far as gluten free breads go, this bread was pretty good! I had the avocado toast with added halloumi - it was delicious!
A. O.
Really nice place, big and dpacious inside and the staff are really nice. Popped in for a latte and to get out the rain and was greater by a super friendly waiter. Latte was great and I got a nice free bottle of water as well.
H. S.
Very relaxed coffee place and an amazing smashed avocado brunch. Aussie brunches are great for the portions and simple but done well dishes.
J. L.
Exceptional food, friendly & efficient service, dog friendly - highly recommended place to eat, can’t wait to return!
M. S.
Perfect breakfast to start your day. Definitely not British style, so not too heavy but makes you full enough. And tasty!
G. C.
A relaxed place for weekend brunch in Shoreditch. Australian kind of - not usual plates. Something different to explore but a bit price. Decent coffee and wifi for remote working.
R. E.
Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. Food and coffee were both delicious and the baby changing facilities were excellent
V. S.
EXCELLENT bottomless brunch. The food was delicious and the portions are a really good size. I would strongly recommend the duck hash in particular (very generous and meaty duck portion) and the courgette bread special. The prosecco was flowing and generous glasses poured. The cafe interior is lovely, with a really relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
A. L.
Terrific local breakfast spot with friendly service. I had the special chia seed pudding with a delicious assortment of fruits and my friend enjoyed the pancakes. I’d definitely go back again in the future.
M. B.
Got the corn fritter w/ poached egg for brunch, it is awesome. Cool vibe and venue, definitely a top spot for breakfast.
g. b.
Great brunch, not just your typical eggs and bacon joint. Well worth a visit
K. T.
Beautifull presented and delicious food. Friendly staff. I'd recommend the Tofu Katsu with fresh Asian coleslaw. Lovely quiet space in the inner courtyard (outdoors) even on busy City Road.
E. m.
Been here a few times now, the food is good but service has declined. It was not that busy as well and staff were not attentive.
T. S.
Food and service were spot on. Very tasty food and a great atmosphere. A gem.
R. S.
This is the 2nd time we've been here and absolutely loved it both times. The food is excellent, service is amazing and the general ambience lovely and relaxed. Highly recommend it and we will definitely be coming back.
B. D.
The food was amazing as always, we were happy to have our reservation description met re sitting outside, service lovely. Overall extremely satisfied with Lantana. Will definitely visit again.
F. B.
Really good breakfast, the environment is welcoming and the service is efficient. I definitely recommend this place.
S. M.
Great food and cozy atmosphere, music is not too high so you can actually have a conversation or a coffee meeting
J. H.
Interesting menu, good service, good to be able to sit outside but sheltered from rain.
A. C.
Came here for bottomless brunch for a friend's birthday! Great food and great service - especially from Josh! Would totally recommend their bottomless brunch!
H. D.
Pretty interior, very clean place with tasty plates. The meals are tasty and healthy. Fresh and super tasty products prepared right in front of you. This is a nice place to have a breakfast or brunch, lots of options, the coffee is just great (which you would expect from an Aussie place) and cakes are nice too, the atmosphere is relaxed and nice. One of my favorite spots for breakfast and brunch in London
S. N.
The chicken shawarma grain bowl with poached egg was scrumptious, had all the elements of a middle eastern dish with earthy flavors, some citrus and the gooey poached egg added a good texture.
A. J.
Lantana has a really nice vibe. The option of indoor and outdoor seating means it's suitable for a bunch of things. I have had coffee meetings, staff lunches, after-work drinks. Outside is a little more quiet during the day. They also play really good music. Kind of Latino, funk, chill out. The staff are very polite and happy. Occasionally when it gets busy there may be a little bit of a wait.
MENU
The food is reasonably priced. Its a small menu but most diets can find something. I'm on keto and had no trouble. They are happy to edit items and take special requests.
There are a dozen cocktails, some beers and code and a selection of wines.
I would recommend this place to friends and being close to old Street it's quite popular after work and at lunch time.
B. M.
Amazing Australian cuisine!! Great brunch spot for parties of all sizes, we went for a friend's birthday and they accommodated 15 of us for bottomless mimosa brunch! Excellent service & the manager was extremely lovely in helping me surprise the birthday boy with cupcakes!! Highly recommend :)
M. A.
Fantastic coffee which is extremely welcome after drinking rubbish at Costa, Starbucks and Nero. Had breakfast there on a Sunday. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good food. Very tasty and interesting and not too heavy. Perfect if you’re sick of the chain restaurants and heavy food in London. Would definitely visit again.
E. K.
Nice variety of breakfast / brunch options and artisanal coffee. Great interior.
C. S.
The bottomless brunch offering was amazing. Includes a brunch item and bottomless drinks for 30 pounds in London - what an amazing deal!!
D. W.
Amazing Aussie style brunch options and fantastic coffee!
P. W.
Loved coming here before the pandemic hit and can’t wait to come back again once my office opens up! Yummy lunches and super friendly staff. Efficient and quick service. See you soon Lantana !
А. Я.
Hello! I think its good. The weekday breakfast menu featured some pretty creative and unique savory brunch items. My friend and I shared the corn fritters and pulled pork drowned eggs. My favorite of the two was the corn fritters. It came with streaky bacon, fresh spinach, roasted tomatoes, smashed avocado and lemon creme fraiche. The entire dish was very well executed - all the ingredients went well together and it was bursting with flavors. The pulled pork drowned eggs were pretty awesome too. We asked to substitute the fried eggs for scrambled eggs, but it came with sourdough, spicy tomato sauce and parmesan. This was quite interesting as I've never had anything like it before. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The eggs were fluffy and the spicy tomato sauce added so much depth to the dish. Like this.
T. R.
I love this place. I really do. The staff are lovely and even when it's busy they're always really nice.
The coffee is great.
The breakfast is absolutely delicious. I've had the breakfast burger and it was just the best thing. The whole menu is really tasty and always tastes as good as it looks.
The real stand out though are the cakes. The cherry ripe slice is amazing, as is carrot cake. They do lunch here too but I haven't tried that yet.
E. V.
A great spot for a quick brunch or a bite to eat! The hash was delightful as was the service!
P. R.
We stopped in here during our visit to London in January and to be honest we were a little disappointed. Coffee lacked a little punch, Corn Fritters lacked a bit of flavour. Halloumi with my Avo a little burnt. It's busy so maybe we hit an off day. In summary we found it okay but not great
W. W.
Nice atmosphere and good food. Take out options available too.
A. C. C.
Nice place. I found it odd that they do not serve hot drinks in the evening. Other than that, ok wine and tasty Mezze board to share with a friend.
M. S. R.
Lovely service, nice coffee. Very Australian-style menu with Poke bowls, mashed avo and corn fritters + bacon galore. Yummy, and not too dear. Reservations recommended though.
J. E.
One of the best brunch spots in London! Super friendly and attentive staff and great atmosphere. Food is a cut above the usual brunch offering in London - really interesting and varied menu - and the bottomless option offers great value.
As an Aussie in London this place delivers. Will be back!
C. N.
Excellent cuisine, nice cocktails and great customer service
L. B.
Great brunch - tons of poached egg options and fresh juices. I had the kale toast.
K. M.
Absolutely delicious breakfast! A quirky, yet classic menu with a very comfortable and open layout. Staff is quick and friendly. Outdoor seating is available when weather permits. My friend and I had "corn fritters" and "wild mushroom" for breakfast with several (delicious!) lattes and a peanut butter smoothie. Be sure to take a look at the cakes and buns available at the bar (they don't seem to be in the menu).
J. K.
Prices were reasonable. The food was delicious and very healthy. The desserts were tasty. Wait staff was prompt and very friendly. The seats weren't very comfortable but I think they were going for a certain decor. The meals are definitely worth coming back for.
D.
Very accomodating staff, food was amazing , heads up for anyone ... Book a table in advance
E. P.
Really tasty food and great service. Food and coffee were served fast! Great atmosphere, too!
S. D.
Tries, & mostly succeeds, to replicate a Sydney cafe. Food was good although the corn fritters were a little stodgy. Very good flat whites however possibly a degree too cool even for someone like me who doesn't appreciate overhot coffee. Nice atmosphere with attentive staff. Dinner time prices though
S. S.
Excellent coffee (as you’d expect from an Australian place).
I’m a regular: been there countless times for team lunches, for partner meetings. It’s quiet enough, so you can have a comfortable conversation. But also relaxed enough, so an occasional crazy laugh is also fine.
Finally, it’s a stone through away from tube, I can’t believe this proximity hasn’t spoiled the place yet! Keep it up guys!
M. S.
The duck and sweet potato hash is beyond delish. I would come back just for this dish
R. K.

All in all a delicious breakfast, the avo was silky with a hint of lemon. I’m not someone who would ever get corn fritters so I have nothing to compare it to but definitely a smart alternative for bread. Staff were friendly, environment is cosy.
m.
Very delightful. My breakfast was absolutely yummy
D. B.
Large portions of slightly over-the-top brunch items, Aussie-style. Fresh and well prepared ingredients. Perfect for that Saturday morning craving. Excellent cocktails (one of the better Bloody Mary's I've had in London!) and pastries as well. I'd caution that a walk-in on a weekend is not going to be possible between 10 and 1.30...so book ahead or be prepared to wait.
M. M.
This used to be a two-star review: we've been coming here since it opened, the food was always fantastic but the floor staff was always slow. The service has since improved remarkably in the last six months.
The food is typical good quality Australasian cafe food, including proper homemade baked beans and corn bread. Coffee is on point, and the new staff are actually paying attention.
S. S.
Went here a few months ago for a friend’s birthday brunch and would highly recommend it. Tasty food, decent portion sizes and a good deal on bottomless prosecco (something like £30 for 1.5 hrs for your group). Looking forward to visiting again in the future!
H. M.
I always take clients for meetings here as the coffee is excellent and the staff are always friendly. It can feel quite busy but I have always been able to get a table without a reservation and have never had to wait. Really nice little spot very conveniently located on Silicone Roundabout but feels miles away once inside. The food is quite 'brunchy' definitely try the corn fritters as they are delish.
A. O.
Never disappoints. Great service, excellent food. Was great to be back after months in lockdown.
D. I.
Had a look at the menu in a moment of excitement from an Australian living in London but we decided not to eat here as it didn't look to be Australian items on the menu... Wine from south Africa. Food items sounded amazing but not what I was expecting with bubble & squeak... French toast not common Australian breakfast items. Still might come back another time but hopefully more Australian themed food will be on the menu.
R.
Loved the menu, some traditional brunch items with a great twist. Friendly welcome and fast service. Will go back soon!
H. A.
Nice brunch place. Small, interesting menu that has some unique items. There are some good veggie options as well. Service was quick and relaxed. The place can get crowded on weekends, but wait is not terribly long.
K. K.
Pleasant service, menu geared towards vegan hipsters.
A. B.
Found this place by accident and very glad we did! The food was delicious and the service friendly. Good range of veggie options and able to make most of their dishes gluten-free. Will definitely be making a return visit.
C. M.
Food was delicious, service was poor. As in poor that there was none. We had to get up from our table to find someone to take our order and then again to get someone to bring the bill (and take the empty plates that had been sitting in front of us for about 15 minutes before that). It was 10.30am on a Sunday and the restaurant was about half full but there were a few tables around us with the same issue. Really enjoyed the food but unfortunately disappointed with the rest.
S. M.
Great food, nice fresh juices and tasty coffee. I had the smashed avocado with bacon and black pudding and my wife had the Banoffee banana bread with bacon. We both loved it. Looking forward to coming back already.
M. G.
freakin' awesome!!! The courgette bread and halloumi is the best breakfast I have ever had! The service is a bit hit and miss and they always include a 12.5% service charge regardless. But the food and the venue are so good it's worth it. The coffee is not quite as good as ozone round the corner but its good enough. We come here for brunch most weekends but they have a dinner menu during the week that we have not tried yet.
M. S.
Really good spot for a brunch/lunch with friends. Can get busy, so book of you can - unless you don't mind waiting. Good food (and yes it has the brunch classics - avo on toast) and service.
D. D.
They manage to get the food order consistently wrong, theres always a missing item and Ive had to wait for food for over 30 minutes on few occasions. Coffee is supposed to he good but actually it over-roasted and burnt (nowhere near as good as Caravan or Workshop Coffee). The staff are quite polite and nice though but the kitchen needs a serious rethink
C. H.
A nice and relaxed coffee shop and cafe. Great place for working as they have plenty of seats and free wifi.
The robust smell of coffee fills the room. The staff are friendly and the service (for the food) is pretty quick. I had a nice eggs benedict on toast with Avocado here! Good value for money too!
G. Y.
Still yet to eat in the place as I'm stopping by for a coffee but seems to satisfy my every time. They have a quite a large area at the back with lots of seat, great for a social get-together. The weiss beer is lovely and good value for money - £4.50 for a large bottle and the staff are always super friendly in there.
I. P.
Menu with variety of breakfast/ brunch options; few of which with an interesting twist. Might seem a bit overpriced, but portions are not small and is located in Old street. Reservation is required, as becomes very popular on weekends. We stayed around 2hrs. Personnel is attentive and smiley.
D. K.
Very good coffee and small but fair selection of breakfasts but having been here a few times, the service is always a little distracted for some reason. E.g. it's not uncommon to have to stand waiting to be seated but being ignored by the staff, as if the role of greeting customers is the least important thing on the list of to-do's for the staff. But in fact first impressions count so it's the most important! A little more focus on the customer then and this could be 4+ stars easily.
O. A.
Went for quick coffee-only visit; staff were extremely attentive without being intrusive.
My praise to Lantana for their professionalism.
P. G.
I can only talk about this from the point of view of coffee and cake, but found it a great venue to sip and work. The coffee was excellent and my banana cake tasted deliciiously home-made, with a decent sized slab of it to boot.
The staff seemed laid back but conscientious and, even though I was working away, the place has a nice, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like talking to the people on the next table - and that's very unusual for London!
L. G.
Really delicious food. I've had breakfast and lunch here. The French toast is awesome, if a little more like dessert, and the hake for lunch is gorgeous. Not a huge selection on menu, but great nonetheless.
P. M.
Great service, friendly staff and food dishes are creative and delicious!
M. M.
really nice spot, small menu, but you'll want just about everything on the menu so its not an issue. quirky and hip, can't go wrong really.
Its normally pretty busy at lunchtimes - but I've always managed to get a table - in the summer theres some outdoors seats too in the quad area so you aren't on the street.
takeaway at the front is very popular too.
R. T.
Nice place for a Sunday brunch. Eggs were a little over cooked though and extras quite expensive!
Does an all you can drink prosecco option if the whole table is keen, which I've been told is a fun option!
J. A.
Lovely food, but a little busy and a 30 minute wait for the main to arrive...
J. T.
Very quality food at this place. The staff are nice and quick to sit you when you arrive. The portion of food is good as I went at lunchtime. I had the chicken katsu meal which was delightful although would of liked it if I had more chicken in the meal.
E. C.
One of my favourite coffee spots in the area. Service is very friendly and attentive, just what you need when missing the morning caffeine fix! Also doesn't hurt that the cakes and breakfasts are yummy...
Y. S.
Best brunch and coffee in Old Street, full stop. I've been to Salvation Jane many times, and the food from the French toast to the eggs never disappoint. I recommend showing up early to get seated; otherwise, you might need to queue for a bit. The place has a nice, young and energetic vibe.
c. r.
Went for lunch other day nice little restaurant , service and staff was excellent.
S. E.
Salvation Jane is one of my favourite spots of brunch at the weekend. Being the sister restaurant to Lantana, I knew it would be good. They serve amazing coffee (Square Mile) and the food is lovely. I think all tastes really fresh and their menu changes with specials each week. You can go a bit naughty or stay healthy and it is a really pleasant way to spend a morning.
I'd highly recommend the Corn Fritters
w. “.
Very tasty food and speedy, friendly service. The noise level is reminiscent of raves back in the day and, appaz, the coffee ain't no great shakes. If they brought the volume down I'd deffo go back.
j. b.
A relaxed, informal setting presenting a varied selection that probably accommodates and resonates with most contemporary tastes. Adequate portions, faultless presentation; all at a realistic price served by pleasantly efficient staff.
Coffee doesn't disappoint either.
S. M.
I really like this Aussie brunch spot. It offers a range of more brunch dishes with a bit of a twist and the coffee is good. Only problem is staff don't care that much about you or how long you have to wait to eat.
e. r.
DELICIOUS FOOD. BEST BRUNCH I HAVE EVER HAD
D. T.
TL;DR: good, but used to be much better.
I used to frequent this place when it was called Salvation Jane; I loved it then, perhaps because it was less busy. I was, unfortunately, disappointed when I visited today. The food was served cold (lukewarm at best) and service was relatively unresponsive. I wonder if it has become the victim of its own success (and consequent busy-ness)?
L. S.
This place has unfortunately gone downhill. It has a great atmosphere and the menu is full of promise but the food doesn't deliver- I had the Smokey Beans and potato bread at my last visit and can safely say it is the worst meal I have eaten out in years.
Gets 3 stars because their cakes are still delicious.
W. F.
We had blow-out brunch (bottomless selected drinks), which was well worth it. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was okay, not a huge selection on the menu, but a good experience all round.
M. S.
Great coffee spot nestled away in Shoreditch. Never had any trouble getting a table in the morning. Food is good, can be a little bit hipster!
B.
One of the best brunches to be had in the Old Street / Shoreditch area. Delicious and unusual brunch options, ranging from healthy to full on English breakfasts. Their smashed avocado and corn cakes dish is not to be missed. Bloody Marys are excellent. There is a bottomless brunch option, but have not yet tried this.
J. S.
the venue looks nice and service was OK. food is mediocre I'm afraid - ordered bacon and crushed avocado on sourdough bread. the bread was cold and hard, avocado's temperature was a bit too low and bacon was lukewarm. I struggled to enjoy. similar feedback on other dishes from my friends. for that price, the food need improvement.
K. G.
My first and hopefully not last experience of this wonderful restaurant was nothing short of amazing. Pleasant efficient staff, combined with delicious food and beverages complimented the cosmopolitan energy that emanates from this trendy eatery. Thank you!
J. G.
Food is good and creative but everything is a couple of pounds more expensive than it should be. £1.5 for a slice of toast.. £4 for OJ...
Courgette bread brunch was very tasty & the avocado thing too :-)
Coffee was nice too!
E. K.
Come for Brunch! It's pretty good!
N. C.
Fresh, tasty, interesting food. Typical of what you'd expect from a good Australian place. Would definitely recommend the hake.
Also does takeaway salad boxes for lunch which are worth trying.
F. M.
wonderful food, good service. Coffee was really good too. Prices about standard for a brunch. Make sure you book, there's often quite a long line.
J. R.
Been here for coffee a few times, and it's OK but unfortunately it's never been as good as the more central one in Charlotte Place. Also don't know if it's just because it's winter but they never have any of the cold drip or even a cold brew. What's the point in having that beautiful tower and not using it? Only sweet things on the counter on the weekend, no savoury.
C. Y.
Really good option for brunch on a weekend but booking is essential otherwise you are in for a wait. It also gets very noisy so it can be difficult to chat even if you're in a small group. Overall the service and food are good.
c. m.
Mushroom breakfast dish was amazing and only a 15min wait on a busy saturday lunchtime. But expensive for portion size, service charge added but not great service. Waited quite a while for our order to be taken and had to ask for our drinks twice!
S. T.
Good for brunch - I went for avocado and halloumi on toast. My friends went for wild mushroom on toast and the butternut squash dish. Chilled atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Would go again!
S. P.
Friendly blonde waiter!! We had a good time. Poke bowls are nice!!
S. D.
I might have been the only person there without a stylised haircut and a start-up but I liked Salvation Jane. The staff are beyond friendly and charming, the room's calm, with plenty of seating and the menu, while not particularly long or exciting, is decent. My coffee was super-tasty, and I'm sure I'll be back.
L. D. N.
On my top 5 fav brunch places! They surely don’t hold back on the bottomless Prosecco, food great and coffee even greater 👌🏽
L. P.
Very nice, very good, quite expensive :-)
A. S.
I went to Salvation Jane for lunch and wasn't massively impressed. I had a caramelised onion tart with greek salad which was decent enough, and certainly nicer than something you'd find in a sandwich chain - but for £9.70, it should be. My coffee was somewhat average, which is baffling considering that Salvation Jane is the sister cafe to Lantana. Their coffee is usually great. Staff were genuinely warm but a bit inattentive.
It's certainly not a bad spot if other nearby options are too busy, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
a. v. d. e.
One of my favourite Shoreditch eateries for its interesting, slightly unusual and healthy menu. I recently had the home cured salmon on dark rye bread with a poached egg and beetroot which was pretty perfect. The atmosphere is buzzing, friendly and the staff are well organised. It's a little pricey and sometimes a bit drafty, but I'd highly recommend.
F. Q.
Really tasy and original recipes. The service is good too. The place has a nice atmosphere. I ordered one of the small plates and it was a bit much, but besides that everything was great.
O. S. (.
I've never really tried their food, but it looks nice and I can't help but comment on it when I see someone order poached eggs on toast with bacon.
Opt for the filter coffee if you come here as it's prepared very quickly and packs a massive caffeine hit.
B. C.
Great space that I have popped into a few times for tea and coffee. Food looks great.
Last time I was there the people on the table next to me left as they got bored waiting for the waiting staff to come and take their order - perhaps it was a busier than expected Thursday night or a member of staff was absent?
d. b.
Very tasty
P. R.
Courgette bread and mocha was a great start. Service was quick despite being told there would likely be a wait. Does turn out to be quite expensive if you're starving though!
L. H.
Such a perfect weeknight dinner spot, good vegan choices, healthy and fresh, but also delicious desserts. Very nice service and vibe too.
A. B.
Great Aussie style breakfast place, of which more is needed in London.
Great coffee
So so service, because it is so busy and packed on the weekends.
C. C.
Great bruch! Every single dish has something amazing about it... also did the bottomless brunch and it was highly satisfying... Not giving it 5 stars only to be true to other brunches I love more
T. L.
Breakfast is great here. I really enjoyed it
L. O.
Healthy options, great for brunch, mediocre for dinner
B. L.
Very friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Food was ok - we tried 5 or 6 sharing dishes. The only down side was the chef was quite heavy handed on the salt (particularly on the calamari).
L. C.
Really good! I had the indonesia fried rice with kimchi and chicken and it was marvelous!!
M. S.
Great food, great coffee, very attentive service - maybe a little too attentive, but I much rather that than having to constantly attract attention. Will return again soon!
L. C.
Went for bottomless brunch. Food is delicious. The service was slow meaning it was difficult to get your money's worth on the drinks. Would return for dinner only though.
J. L.
Great coffee and weekend brunch spot with friendly relaxed atmosphere. A bit pricey, but always a good experience and can accommodate slightly larger groups better than some of the other shoreditch brunch places
D. R.
It’s brunch but with a funny accent and instagrammable foods
J. Y.
Great service despite being very busy, and the food was fantastic (the corn fritters are delicious). Definitely worth booking if you're in a large group, especially at peak times.
N. d.
Greaaaaaaat breakfast. Bit pricey but we all need food like this AND it's London. Nice on a dull weekend. London has many of those but not many places like this. I suspect this place is run by Australians AND they just know how to do a great breakfast. Thanks see you again.
H. Z.
The food was great, there was a mix up with our order and the food took a while but the staff cleared it up quickly.
N.
New lunch menu tasted great. Smashed Avacado poached egg on sourdough with pistachios accompanied with a tasty kale salad
M. L.
Good place for brunch in London with delicious menu. Coffee is also top notch, but they lose some marks as sometimes on weekends the service can be really slow.
G. B.
Recently, after I was ignored at a near-by roastery for half an hour, I gave up and walked around the corner to the antipodean place Salvation Jane.
Salvation Jane is a good cafe that offers a very similar menu and style as the Fitzrovia coffee shop Lantana. The advantage of Salvation Jane is, that it is more of a restaurant than a little coffee shop. Some people might also count this as disadvantage. Anyway, I was two or three times at Salvation Jane so far and very much like it.
In particular, I like the toast or in general the breakfast and brunch you could get there. So many places in London serve crappy bread as toast, Salvation Jane is a very welcome exception. And you could also get a decent coffee there.
All in all, Salvation Jane is probably not the cheapest spot for scrambled eggs on toast and a cup of coffee, but at least you get proper bread, nice and friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely go there again.
A. M.
Fantastic breakfast and not overly pricey for EC2
C. H.
Awesome food and great service. Thanks!
V. S.
Went for brunch and the food was nice and well presented and the prices were good, the music was a little loud, people had to shout a bit to have conversations.
L.
Nice place and and very tasty food
J. S.
Try the avo n bacon thingy! Mmmmmmm
Nice big chunky bits of avocado.
Eggs poached to perfection. No water, just runny runny yolks.
Had a nice strong coffee.
And the JUICE! Few lil bits but not too many, and non of that zesty bitterness a lot of freshly squeezed juices have.
And if you sit outside, just by the pillar, the bush obscures anyone's view of you from the inside so if you're nice a quick, you can eat for free.
Definitely recommend it
J. J. S.
Good coffee, good food, great desserts (the crack cake didn't get Its name for nothing) and nice service. Very nice space as well, there are even some tables at the back to sear outside.
H. T.
Decent coffee and breakfast, nothing unique or amazing beyond London's love affair of eggs Benedict. Service I find rather slow and inattentive, however pleasant otherwise.
S. B.
Very welcoming, fantastic menu & such a happy team for a Sunday lunch time! Would definitely recommend & am already thinking of excuses to visit again. Well worth my long journey!
S. A.
Great menu options and whatever you choose is delicious !! Will be back again and again.
E. E.
It's always nice with a new coffee place opening, you just can't have too many of them in one city. Salvation Jane is the sister cafe of Lantana by Goodge St and if you been to that one you can easily spot the resemblance. Unlike Lantana though SJ is much bigger inside, with more seating and less cramped feeling. The coffee is OK but not the best you can find in the area. The food was quite bland I have to say and overpriced for what you get.
P. B.
Good quality ingredients, food is nicely plated. A bit overpriced but that's for most places in London. Very good oats milk latte!
L. M.
Duck hash - very tasty! Love this place.
R. P.
Lovely food, great service and amazing value for money with the bottomless brunch. Definitely be going again.
A. I.
Very nice and laidback brunch place. Terrace available for sunny days. Friendly staff, very clean, great coffee and good food.
R. C.
Food was good, other than all the poached eggs were hard boiled... Service was quite slow but nice venue and nice brunch options.
L. S.
Food was delicious but the service was all of the place! Messed up drinks order and didn't get any salmon with the salmon salad. Card machine out off action also.
L. O.
Great coffee but the cooks don't seem as good as the chef who wrote the menu. Nice dishes in theory but not well executed and unjustifiably overpriced.
A. G.
Australian chain with amazing brunch!
L. S.
It’s a good place near work and we love to go there. Food is always prepared with good quality, ingredients are carefully selected. Staff are quite nice too.
X. D.
Good flat white. But the duck and sweet potato hash I had was way too salty. Otherwise the environment and the services would deserve a 4 stars.
C. C.
Excellent french toast. Chai was delicious too. Appropriate price and relaxed atmosphere.
N. N.
Great food but service was a bit odd and not much atmosphere
J. Y.
Great service despite being very busy, and the food was fantastic (the corn fritters are delicious). Definitely worth booking if you're in a large group, especially at peak times.
L. C.
Went for bottomless brunch. Food is delicious. The service was slow meaning it was difficult to get your money's worth on the drinks. Would return for dinner only though.
R. S.
Food was amazing
E. S.
Really good tasty menu, great coffee and service. Good Australian style brunch menu
E. H.
Service is good, food is really nice - perfect spot for lunch
L. R.
Perfect brunch with friends. The right balance of healthy and indulgent.
A. v. N.
Amazing brunch 👌🏼
C. M.
Just amazing food, tastes of so much
D. B.
Short staffed which make the place slow with drinks service. Also not enough alcohol options for the brunch, food is nice though.
P. P.
Great brunch spot
R. P.
Food is great - coffee was horrible, bitter and nasty. They have just changed their blend. Hope it's much better than before.
E.
Small menu done really well. Healthy but delicious. Excellent service the night we went.
W. M.
Aussie classics done well. Coffee was good and the staff attentive even though a busy morning rush. Eggs poached to perfection.
S. K.
The vegi-benidict is phenomenal!
D. K.
Great coffee & desserts, good breakfast, but gets quite busy and noisy. Love the outdoor seating in the summer!
I. J.
Looks like a converted hairdressers or generic retail/office and so the quirky menu and the unique, authentic 'feel' of the fitzrovia branch is just not replicated. Ok, given its location ok a main road, but doesn't rise above nor define its surroundings.
A.
Came here with a friend a couple of weeks ago for lunch - I had to Google a couple of the things on the menu, but I really enjoyed what I ordered. And loved the hot chocolate :)
D. M.
Scrumptious brunch food. Try the sweetcorn fritters with guacamole, bacon, poached egg and rocket. Service can be hit and miss, but it has been pretty decent recently.
G. B.
Great food, lovely spot for a light fresh bite.
S. B.
Great food, and lots of filling (but not greasy) breakfast options. Service at the door pretty slow though
J. G.
Great brunch, I had corn fritters and smashed avocado. Interesting outdoor courtyard seating area in the back. Friendly staff.
E. M.
An incredible adventure of flavors and excellent customer service.
S. L.
Good food, lovely atmosphere. Service a tad slow when busy so don't go when you need to rush
W. D.
Good food and coffee but overpriced. Wouldn't recommend eating in if you want to have a conversation as the acoustics are awful.
J. B.
Very nice interior and relax atmosphere. Coffee is great, wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options though!
N. B.
Lunchtime walk-in in Shoreditch. Great Australian food, wines, beers and ciders. Clever cooking: chicken schnitzel with a mild chilli relish.
M. I.
Delicious! Great vegetarian options. The Buddha bowl with halloumi was great and very satisfying!
J. E.
The have an nice an open menu that has something for everyone. There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu. The staff is friendly and every helpful.
V. A.
One of my favourite brunch places. It has a lot of energy, great food and excellent flat whites!
C. J.
Walked in off the street, looking for brunch. Excellent food, great coffee. Pleasant surprise.
E. S.
Really good tasty menu, great coffee and service. Good Australian style brunch menu
T. D.
Service took a while to get our order but the food was amazing, one of the best breakfasts I had in a while - went for the duck
A. W.
Great menu, very varied and different. Good value too which is refreshing! A very good start to the day.
G. P.
Very good food and coffee for an ££+ price. Unfortunately it seems the 'Australian' charm has been washed away by rude English staff otherwise 5*
A. v. B.
Very nice food and casual atmosphere. Great place for a weekend coffee or weekday morning meeting.
M. F.
Friendly staff, quick service, incredible food. Try the corn fritters with a spiced tomato juice. The perfect pairing.
M. v. A.
We always have your breakfast meetings here, great food and a kicking espresso to jump start things off! The best in Shoreditch for sure.
N. d. R.
Do you like Lantana? Have you ever been turned away from Lantana for being too busy? Salvation Jane is the same people, the same menu, the same experience... only bigger and near the Silicon Roundabout. Quick, before everyone knows it exists.
F. H. (.
Business brunch in Silicon Roundabout may never be the same again. Order the Roast Duck and Sweet Potato Hash with Kale and you can do anything.
P. H.
Very nice lunch in a bustling café. I was disappointed the cold brew coffee wasn't available as it is something interesting I would love to try. Maybe next time
T. C.
Great all rounder restaurant with some good healthy and vegetarian options. The restaurant has a great ambiance and feel good factor!
T. S. L.
When Pret (part owned by McDonald's) is next to an independent cafe, if you’re a true TSL reader you’d instantly know which one to choose. More specifically, when the latter scenario arises just off Old Street roundabout with the cafe in question innovatively named Salvation Jane (after a noxious weed), such novelty makes it easy to see which threshold we’d want you to pass through. Modern, light, bright, open and friendly, the place bears an open invitation...

A. B.
Best coffee in London?, I reckon so. But as an Aussie visiting a freezing cold London for the first time, everything was perfect. Just go there...
J. M.
My girlfriend chose poorly (smashed avo), but like Indiana Jones, I chose wisely. Duck and hash was amazing, though a little ruined by the defence I had to put up against my gf's prying fork
F. Z.
The food is reasonably priced. Its a small menu but most diets can find something.
a. h.
Nice atmosphere friendly staff good food good price. What else can you ask..?
R. B.
I do come here at least once a week and the food is always up to standard for a Cafe/Bar like this. Great music and good outdoor seating as long as the weather holds up.
S. S.
Stumbled upon this place looking for coffee on the way to work. Good coffee, cute cafe - wish I had had time to stop and eat here.
M. S.
We drank a south african wine here. Nice atmosphere, not too loud. The food looked nice.
M. C. D. S. C.
Amazing banana bread with caramel sauce...omg...and really good carrot cake.
S. L.
Fantastic brunch
Generous bottomless
B. S.
Coffee review- £3.30 for large its expensive and does not hold up to the price charged, plenty of more affordable and equal if not better options close by.
S. D.
Lovely place for brunch! Go for the bottomless mimosas and the varied plant based mains :)
L. C.
Duck hash was amazing. Highly recommended!! 😀
C. S.
Excellent food. Service could be a bit quicker but this is a great relaxed lunch spot.
F. C.
Took quite a bit to be acknowledged and the waiter was quite slow. No good for dietary restriction a in the lunch menu.
G. A.
Excellent, love the veggie food slant, super foods, food innovation, £5 for a small beer, ouch, food well priced
D. W.
The food here is perfect for a quick lunch or amazing dinner. Amazing coffee from Square Mile too!
J. S.
Friendly and efficient service, the food was delicious
I would strongly recommend this place.
A. D.
Fantastic coffee just make sure you are not in a rush. 10 mins minimum to get a coffee, whether there’s a queue or not
L. M.
A great place for brunch, especially if you love poached eggs, avocado and prosecco!
M. S.
Great coffee, great food, great service. Easy to get to location. A minutes walk from old street.
M. W.
First visit to Lanton for breakfast and very good it was too. I had smashed avocado with bacon delicious.
c. B.
Great lunch option in the city. Casual australian-ish fair. GOod coffee and friendly low key service.
E. Q.
Great brunch, really lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend!
宮.
Good stuff. The queue takes ages and it is pricey, but the food is great and the service isn't too slow.
M. B.
Always great food and this location is way nicer than the other one I have been to.
R. W.
Excellent service, delicious brunch and superb coffee.
N. N.
Great food but service was a bit odd and not much atmosphere
K. M.
Took my boyfriend who was blown away. I'm used to great breakfast back in Australia and Lantana did not disappoint.
E. M.
Great food and excellent service but some debatable scaling in the mural on the wall...
N. W.
Fantastic. Can get a little crowed after noon, but this place makes amazing food and delicious coffee.
R. J. D.
Good food, decent prices, friendly service and most of all - good coffee!
F. S.
Delicious healthy all day cafe. Yummy brunch and great service.
J. S.
Trendy but soulless. Don't enjoy the salad (Budda bowl at all). Nice staff though.
C. C.
Excellent french toast. Chai was delicious too. Appropriate price and relaxed atmosphere.
A. T.
I had brekky here with Sarah once. It was pretty good. Nice coffee.
F. M.
The food is good but the portions get smaller and smaller every time I go and the place is way too noisy.
G. W.
Tasty, but expensive. Smoothies too watery too. Not an environment that should command over thirty quid for a breakfast
C. D.
Great place for brunch. Good food and coffee, and has vegemite as a spread!
T. H.
They especially prepared a raw vegan dish for me for an event. That was very attentive, thank you!
P. C.
Another excellent lunch, friendly, helpful service, anywhere that appreciates my humour has to be good!
M. S.
Had brunch and both of our dishes were amazing!
T. W.
Really tasty lunch (had the corn fritters). Relatively quiet. Would recommend.
E. H.
Service is good, food is really nice - perfect spot for lunch
A. L.
Not bad for a busy hipster place between the city and Shoreditch. Too overpriced and full of itself even for the on trend meals.
C. T.
Just fantastic. Excellent food and casually brilliant decor with some ace 70s lamps thrown in for good measure.
W.
Pork belly bap is quite good. A bit pricey though as portions are not that big.
M. T.
I recommend the eggs on sourdough toast but you might easily find other delights
D. Y.
Loved everything about the place . Not just a sandwich bar as the atmosphere is too good
T. R.
Amazing place, food (especially duck hash) & drink!
H. W.
Food about 4 stars, service about 2 stars. Grumpy, surly waitress who was slow, rude, and generally shouldn’t be in the service industry...
M. B.
Nice lunch, not super speedy service but to be fair they were clear that would be the case.
I. N.
very tasty, will visit you guys again
J. S.
Simply put it’s a great place for good food, ambiance, serve & all.
P. R.
It's ok. Never been a big fan of the menu options here, but the setting is nice.
V. L.
I really enjoy Sunday afternoon brunch. We have to wait for seats about 10 minutes, but it was worth it. 🍳
A. N.
Great food, let down by service today but still worth a visit if you are in the area.
K. G.
The surly staff here made me feel rather unwelcome, but the decor here is lovely and they serve excellent drinks.
s. t.
Nice enough food and coffee but not on par with the Charlotte Street branch and keep raising their prices
B. R.
Very Tasty breakfast and smiling staff
Maybe a bit overpriced though
F. T.
Great spot! Really enjoy coming here and my kids love it too!
E. S.
Has lots more space / seating at the back. Good breakfast and decent coffee
D. D.
The best coffee served in London by far. Excellent staff and great food as well.
D. U.
Great experience, service was amazing and the food fantastic, a must visit.
J. N.
Great brunch spot with lots of alternatives to the usual eggs florentine or pancakes.
P. T.
Great coffee and ok service. Overall still a good place.
P. C.
Great food, no rush and really friendly service! Thanks team Lantana!!
p. c.
Stood waiting to be seated and it was not clear who I should ask. Food was well presented and tasty
D. B.
Really nice interesting lunch, good coffee and fast service for a lunch break.
J. M.
A bit slow but food was good. The avocado on toast was really good
R. G.
Fantastic food and service, with great coffee to boot. Will be back!
D. B.
Great brunch. Classic East London fayre. Pretty expensive but rammed to the rafters.

Australian style brunch when you want it. Not the best, and pretty pricey, but does the job.

To be honest, based on the reviews, I was expecting more. This place is close to where I work so one lunchtime I popped in and asked to book a table for 2 people for the following qeek. I was promptly told to do it online as this would be 'easier'. I'm guessing the staff meant easier for them.
So, I booked online which was very easy to be honest, but it would have been more convenient to have just been able to book in person whilst I was at the place.
When I went to the restaurant for lunch my friend had already been seated so I joined her in a nice corner. The table was a bit small, but fine and there was already tap water at the table. We both ordered the chilli cakes and they came out quite quickly and looked really lovely. I was a bit disappointed to be honest though, as there was no spice to them at all and if anything, I think they were on the bland side.
The service was quite good but it was obvious the waiting staff were rushed as we struggled to catch them to ask for more tap water and then to ask for the bill. We managed to ask for the bill twice but it never came so we just went up to the counter to pay.
In summary, it was an average place and I didn't think the food was overly tasteful so I wouldn't revisit.
