Reviews of Malaysia Hall Canteen

Really nice authentic Malaysian restaurant serving authentic Malay food. Came for the kerabu that is served every Sunday and also the Mee Rebus special. Very delicious indeed and also spicy. Nice selection of dessert kuih to select from.
P. M.
Great tasty Malaysian cuisine with a homely atmosphere. Only Malaysians allowed unless you come as a guest with one. We had some nasi campur, nasi lemak and some cakes with teh tarik. All sumptious and well recommended

I went here two Sundays ago and I was allowed to go in and nobody asked me if I am a Malaysian. They had good safety protocols.
I was overwhelmed by the food selections for Nasi Campur so I enquired and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I had Nasi Campur with 3 dishes: squid red curry, chicken curry and aubergine. These were sublime recommendations washed down with Teh Tahrik. I had some take away of glutinous rice sweets, Nasi Kerabu and Roti Canai.
My overall experience was so excellent with staff being so friendly, showing ultimate Malaysian hospitality, that I started raving about this little gem of Malay food to friends to try.
However I came back this Sunday with a friend and we were turned away because the canteen was only for Malaysians and we should be accompanied by Malaysians. Since I was raving about it the week before, we were really looking forward to having a Malaysian feast. The lady behind behind the desk was polite but I hope they make it clear here or put a sign on the door about this policy. It was simply embarrassing. I would not want this to happen to other non Malaysians who would try to venture here and experience the same embarrassment.
I will not lower my rating fo this place despite this recent incident. I maintain their food is really good and the hospitality by the canteen staff is very heartwarming.
This alone Malaysians should be proud of.

Excellent food, good portions and value for money. Friendly and helpful service.
Daughter to me there for Father's Day Lunch and I was very happy with the food we had and bought a lot of yummy Malaysian cakes which was just exquisite.
Will go there again soon.

The place is a short walk from Bayswater tube station. Good food Malaysian at a very reasonable price, with the finest Malaysian hospitality! Great service, will definitely visit again! We had nasi campur, nasi lemak and roti canai. The roti canai and dhal with a dash of sambal bilis was particularly good. They had an array of kuehs - so we had some takeaway. Air bandung is a must try!

This place makes you feel like home! Their mi rebus is my favourite - at £5.50 per bowl it’s such a bargain! I love their teh tarik and nasi lemak too. Their traditional kuih and sweet delicacies are amazing - almost every single of them will make u smile because they’re genuinely so good! It’s unfortunate that their don’t offer card payments but I hope they will do this soon due to covid.

Easily the cheapest place to get halal Malay food in London (always a bonus for homesick and/or cost-conscious Malaysians) with friendly service from Kak Ani & co.
My favourite here is the nasi ayam and mee goreng. And speaking as one half Mandailing myself, Kak Ani’s rendang daging is excellent. If you have a hankering for satay, you'd also be in for a treat.

Third time in London now and every visit feels incomplete without coming to eat here. It always makes me feel as if I'm in Malaysia. There aren't many malaysian restaurants in Germany, so this is the best place for me to fulfill my cravings. Love the kuih choices and the catfish dish is awesome too. Oh and the teh tarik, you shouldn't miss it.
P. L.
I give it a solid 3.5 star on flavor but options aren't the widest. More tailor to the Malay cuisine.
Price is decent.
Very Basic decor canteen style place. Order and pick up food yourself, and clean up your own dishes. Not particularly sure if anyone clean the table once in a whilst.
Food was tasty enough. Unfortunately the lemongrass curry I wanted didn't have enough to do a full serving, they wouldn't let me order that and mix in a bit of something. So it was disappoint.
Got the next red curry lamb and it was ok. I wasn't whelmed.
Keow Teo noodles was flavorful and have enough ingredient.
The kuih/pastry. Some was good. The fried stuff been been sitting out for too long so wasn't as good.
I realize now. The precook dishes wasn't kept warm which I assume isn't up to some health code. But no problem with tummy after eating it.
Service for ala carte order was very fast. It wasn't a busy hour at around 7.30pm. Some of the precook curry was already sold out.
The tea Tarik was pre-made. Free water and the red is color flavor drinks.
D. K.
Great authentic Malaysian food at very good prices! Very traditional canteen. Can't wait to go back!

Decent Malaysian food in London (UK).
I think it is high time for Malaysian Government to re-vamp this avenue.
Dont become like the Malaysia Kitchen.
Remove the 'canteen' feel.
Re-vamp the interior of the canteen make it more a bit of a cafe or restaurant type feel.
No doubt the place is too small located in the basement (wonder how the exit plan when hazards happen).
This place has potential to bloom as the food were pretty much decent taste; can feel the authentic Malaysian food.
Decent spread and choice of food.
Staff were friendly.
Somehow i do feel the price is a bit on the higher side.
Add in some air ventilation (feel bit stuffy).
And...
During my visit on near mid June: the Malaysia Hall was having their Raya Get together.
It seems to be 'closed event' which is not opened to outsider (syok sendiri program).
This is not cool as they should open the program to visitor aspecially Muslim Malay abroad in London/UK.
It is a waste of Government money for syok sendiri event.
The personnel at the entrance just say to us and directed us "canteen below": as if the event is not event there.
This raya event could be an invite for outsider and Malaysian abroad to feel homey.
Thats how they can promote Malaysia thru food and culture (just like what they planned in the Malaysia Kitchen Program).

Came here two days in a row for vegetarian meals. Very well cooked- so delicious! We tried a few other Malaysian restaurants but this place is 100% authentic and tasted great for vegetarian Malaysian food!
N. C.
Great experience here, the receptionists here as well as the canteen staff were extremely warm and friendly. The food also brings you right back to Malaysia. Rice dishes were great and the Keropok lekor was legit as well. Highly Recommended.
J. A.
Firstly its great that they have this place! Not only malaysians can go there to eat, other muslims from various countries can proceed there to have asian food served. The place is huge with toilets and plenty of seats. Parking is just outside the building along the road. But you must hurry as there is alot of ppl and those favourite dishes will finish fast.
K. C.
This place is exactly what I would describe as cheap and cheerful. Really good value home cooked authentic Malaysian food. There is freshly cooked noodles and rice as well as rice + up to 3 dishes you can choose on display. So worth it.
Y. W.
Everyone here was very friendly and helpful, like all Malaysians should be. 👍
The food are reasonable and most importantly, authentic. We are truly grateful to be able to quench our thirst for authentic Malaysian food here in London.
F. I.
Nice authentic Malaysian canteen. Very basic, so don't expect a fancy place but the food is great. Portions could be a bit more generous. Price is reasonable and according to the service offered but I wouldn't say cheap as many stated since you are in a canteen so I wouldn't expect prices to be high.
As some others stated, the menu is in Malay but staff can help you out.
S. Y. T. (.
Superbe place ! The food was super delicious, first time here and it didn't let me down. I will definitely come back when I visit London again. All Malaysian should come here at least once!!
N. K.
New canteen operator is definitely much better. I used to frequent their restaurant “makan”
at portobello road. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. I miss malaysian breakfast, they have quite a big selection of local kuihs, and also roti canai (prata).
J. N.
Nice authentic food and good value for money. Food is pre made and you order at the counter and find whatever seats available. The squid, fish and chicken drumsticks I had were all good. There was a £5 set with drumstick and rice but the green rice was not to our taste.
T. W.
Very heartwarming to see people of all faces and races coming for authentic Malay food right here. Food was good!
A. S.
Reasonable price and its very delicious, this nasi lemak, i chose ayam goreng and telur goreng cost me about £5.60, nasi goreng cina cost you about £3, nasi lemak ayam (with telur rebus) cost you around £4.5, if you want teh tarik i think u have pay extra £1.. Malaysians who live abroad should try this.. We fly to london and stay in malaysia hall, so we got a chance to try malaysian cuisine here.. And we miss malaysian cuisine so so much..
S. A. S. A.
Located at basement level. Delicious Malaysian food at reasonable prices. Choices of lauk for lunch and dinner. Truly feels like home.
c.
Very nice tasty Lamb Curry after away from home country. Clean toilet with water tap. HALAL foods
L. K.
No frills canteen with absolutely delicious food. Tried the nasi kerabu and mee rebus and bought some kuih to take home, along with two drinks for under £20 for two people.
J. K.
AMAZING FOOD. Tasted just like Malaysia
M. V.
Food was authentic and so delicious. Highly recommend the mackerel
R. A. R.
If you miss Malaysian Food.. can get Nasi Ayam on Fridays.. before/after Friday Prayers
F. N.
Only Malaysian is allowed (passport/IC is required). Nice Malaysian food, roti canai is recommended 😀
l. l.
Feels like home to a Malaysian...💯 recommend if you guys miss home cook food🥺
M. A.
Everything I ate was delicious.
And this is not coming from a Malaysian who is missing his Malaysian chow which is likely to be biased. I had a meeting here, so might as well eat.
The nasi ayam, nasi lemak and assortment of their kuih are really delicious and of high quality. Also had their ikan jacket kembong, which is really top notch.
I'm impressed by the skills of the chef. If they were in Malaysia peoper, they would hold their ground and still be a top notch place. Very rarely have I been a restaurant in Malaysia where they can nail so many of their dishes excellently.
Therefore, for those craving for Malaysian food, you don't need to travel back no more. This aunty brought it all the way to the heart of London.
C.
Only 5 stars Google? Malaysian Canteen deserves at least 2 more stars than that!
Close your eyes and you could easily forget you're in London and back in the culinary paradise that is Malaysia, I recommend the Sambal Catfish, Nasi Lemak, Roti Channai for your first visit, ask the friendly staff for their advise on what goes well together.
Tapow some freshly made Kuih deserts and a Curry Puff for later on, totally Sedap!!
F. S.
Best food. Alhamdulillah bawa keluarga and they welcome us nicely. Good value for money.
S. L.
Authentic Malaysian food at great value!
T. G. K.
Loved it.. good food and friendly staff. Will be back when I'm in London again.
B. P.
Nice food. Chill environment. Good price
J. T.
A great taste of Malaysian food, friendly staff and homely environment, our family was recommended to this place by my uncle who resides in London for almost 60 years. He loves and frequent this spot for years till one day in late 2018 when he needed document to prove his Malaysian status....too much inconvenience and that was his last visit. I hope this place welcome anyone who loves the food and not just Malaysian!! Let’s show our Malaysian Hospitality....on ground too!!
E. S.
Economic and tasty nutritious meals. Completely enjoy the food. Only for Malaysian n friends.
K. S.
Delicious food, very very authentic malaysian food served here. kuih melayu (traditional cakes) is a must try...ask for seri muka and bingka ubi. the mi rebus was quite good, delicious roti canai and the sate, oooh try the sate...very rich in flavour. also, try the nasi kerabu. theres also a section reserved for prayers. alhamdulillah.
E. B.
I love my country. Malaysian food always the best
s.
Malaysian food. Very reasonable prices. Options of Rice with 1 , 2 or 3 dishes ....under £6 .
Its a very safe environment... The owners have taken all the necessary precautions. Food is fresh everyday and there is variety. Service is efficient... kind and considerate.
Enjoy.
a. k.
Excellent Malaysian street food at a reasonable price. Recommend the Char Kwey Teow & Nasi Lemak.
Edit: I understand the canteen has sadly closed now. They occasionally have food during fundraising events.
z. z.
The foods were cheap and delicious.
I. M.
Authentic Malaysian food! If you're homesick, this is the place to go for good food and friendly, jovial Malaysians! 🇲🇾
R. V.
You can't find anything more local! The menu is in Malaysian, if you aren't Malaysian, you will probably be the only "foreigner" there but don't be shy, the staff is helpful and kind. The food is delicious and just as I expected to taste. Their deserts are really good as well. I'll have to go again for the brunch, I want those lontongs!!
M. N.
The reason I gave this 5 stars is because it exists! It's an amazing service that the Malaysian embassy provides to its' citizens (and everyone else who knows it) who happen to crave Malaysian food. Just to be clear, the food is extremely cheap, and the canteen is very simple so you shouldn't be expecting the luxuries of a restaurant. There are 4-5 traditional dishes available usually served with rice, and a number of traditional sweets. Cards are not accepted so have cash with you.
M. L.
Best value Malaysian food in London. Plenty of students eating there. Cooking is good with friendly staff helping out. It's within walking distance to Queensway tube station. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit whilst in London. Home away from home.... what else can one ask for?
N. N.
Malaysian food here..a bit disappointed with the food 😕.. overpriced not very tasty.. should head to somewhere else if craving for msian food..the quality has deteriorated unfortunately..toilet also has no tissue..
J. R.
The best and most authentic Malaysian food in London. If there is better, please tell me because I have yet to find it outside Malaysia. Very humble place with amazing prices because of Malaysian government subsidy. For this reason you need to have a Malaysian with you to be able to eat there, but they are very welcoming to foreigners in the group. Sirap and water is free. All Malaysians who miss their home food must eat here.
K. Y.
A fantastic place tucked away in a nice location, great to visit in the evenings.
The food was excellent, a menu that fully caters for all tastes and preferences. I'm not vegetarian, but they also had quite a selection of dishes for vegetarians which isn't always the case in other restaurants.
The staff were all very friendly and only too happy to help. The interior of the restaurant is also very neat, tidy and clean. They also seem to cater from couples to some quite very large groups.
Will definitely be making return trips here in future.
H. H. B. Z.
If you are craving for Malaysian food or any asian food, this is a must go place!
A. I.
We had our breakfast, lunch and most of our dinner here for 5 days straight when we visit london in February. Food tastes very good. Their roti canai is so fluffy and crunchy, and taste better than some restaurants back in Malaysia. The ladies manning the counter during day time is friendly and really helpful.
D. C.
Good food, good price and good staff. A striped back canteen feel offering the nostalgia of every Malaysians’ experience (perhaps those who went to an average government school) during primary and secondary school days. It’s chilled. Eat at your own pace. It’s a little tricky to find but hey, that’s the main fun of “hole in the wall” dining.

Awesome. malaysian food at malaysian hall canteen!
K. y. (. A.
Makanan Malaysia sedap👍.. visited here last September 2018. Had a great time chit-chatting with Malaysian.😍 .. lepas makan, solat n went shopping.
g. k.
Good food and very friendly staff. Reminds one of home when you eat at Malaysia Hall Canteen. 👍😋😋
A. K.
Excellent food and very low key vibe. Some of the best Malaysian food in town.
N. S.
My cure for home sickness. Environment is so homely. As authentic as Malaysian canteen food gets - they have everything just the same like back home. Go for lunch where there is a selection of good food that goes well with rice. Price is very decent for Bayswater area.
F. S.
It's a good, fairly cheap place to eat Malaysian food. The food was delicious with a nice, full portion, and is reasonably priced ( one rice with veggies plus 1 side dish is like £4-5 i think, so 3 people were about £15 as I was travelling in a party of 3,so it was a good price for a place at London). Plus, they do serve nasi lemak for breakfast if you crave it.
W. T.
Authentic Malaysian food at reasonable price.
A. R.
Very nice canteen style Malaysian food. Reasonably priced. Cash only.
O. B.
Authentic Malaysian food and very cheap
E. S.
Not too bad. Could be better if it's spicier like back at home. Over all it's ok if you are craving for local food. Must say they have wide spread of dishes & deserts too. It's opened for breakfast around 8:30am.
Z. R. T.
Food is over price 2 person nasi campur costing £30.00 erm not sure how they calculate but lazy to argue so just paid. Prefer other Malaysian restaurants outside.
A. O.
Its authentic malay dishes. Superb! Like you can taste the spice in ayam masak merah and the rempah for fried paru. Walking distance from queensway station. They provide mussollah too. However, the place needs serious cleaninh.
Y. C.
“Rindu” my hometown food 😋😋😋
M. P.
Good value for money for good Malaysian food.
N. R.
It is a place where you can feel like at home and can order in BM, "Kak, boleh minta satu karipap?".
It's such a shame that they do not allow non-Malaysian to be there even though with the accompany of Malaysian. My two Italian friends came all the way to savor Malaysian delicacies but were denied entry to the canteen.
Instead, we had to buy some Kuih-muih for them to eat outside of the building. Later we brought them to a nearby Malaysian Restaurant to taste some Malaysian dishes and tell them everything about Malaysia.
Food is a great way to show a country identity and this change of policy has shut the door to foreigners who want to know more about Malaysia.
R. S.
Awesome place if ur feeling homesick or in case you just want to have nasi lemak other Malaysian dishes. Really good. Nasi kerabu better than some places back home.
p. h.
Friendly staff.
Reasonable price.
Environment is little dirty. There is tissue in the hand dryer. Looks disgusting
Z. D.
Very cheap (our main meal was £4), excellent traditional Malaysian food - You need a Malaysian with you to get in! The location is totally hidden, it'd be ridiculous to find if we hadn't had a previous customer with us. The decor is a little lacking, but it is meant to be a canteen for the staff working above. I'd recommend if you know a Malaysian who can take you!
G. H.
Best place for authentic Malaysian food. As soon as you walk in the fantastic smell of food really hits you. Well priced too. Best place in UK for Malaysian food.
C. Y. T.
This place is a rare catch. Reasonably cheap for the typical mixed rice Malaysians would enjoy, complemented with kuih and a cup of teh tarik. The photo I have taken might not seem as appealing, but trust me, no Malaysian being away from home can resist this simple plate of mixed rice.
n. j.
In the cold rainy weather of beatiful London we found this warm wonderful canteen. I was craving for Malaysian food and everthing I dreamed of was here. Hot rice with beef curry, sambal belachan and teh tarik. Yum!
R. S.
Pretty authentic Malaysian food at very cheap prices. It's quite hard to find if you don't know exactly where it is though and it's mostly just locals there but they're very welcoming. Cash only so make sure to bring some!
D. W.
Good food. Cheap prices. Need to have a Malaysian in the group in order to get in. But nobody actually checks. Staff are not very helpful and assume you know what to order. So maybe telling them it's your first time there helps.
A. L.
I just called and they are closed down already! Sorry!!!
A. H.
The name says it all. This is probably the best place to eat malaysian food abroad that I’ve been to so far. Really cosy and gives you that malaysian canteen atmosphere. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend this place. Nasi lemak, ayam goreng, nasi goreng kampung, teh tarik, paru, nasi campur, you name it.
s. a.
Love food. Great price and place very clean .
L.
Nice malaysian food at cheap prices! Make sure you bring your malaysian IDs as they will check before you enter. They have a different entrance now too. They used to allow non-Malaysians to dine in, but recently there was an increase in the number of thefts hence the need to check our IDs. At peak times the service may be a bit slow.
Removed 1 star because I was almost denied entry as I don't carry my passport around with me. Luckily I got my sister who was at home at that time to send me a photo of my passport to show them.
Tip: This place ONLY accepts CASH
****EDIT: Came here recently with my family. They no longer ask for IDs, and we saw a lot of foreigners and brits eating there too. I guess they've lifted the whole ID thing. Good news for all of us! ;)
S. C. L.
They change Caterers every few years. They dont allow monopoly of one business only. I really did not like the last caterers. But their new caters were amazing. Food taste much better and pricing is more resonable for canteen standard. Will go back often.
K. K.
authentic malaysian food.. never missed the chance to visit Malaysia Hall whenever im near / working near Paddington
W. L.
Good to go when you're craving for home food.
C. A.
Great place for authentic Malaysian food. Can't go in unless your Malaysian or accompanied by one. You need a Malaysian to explain menu anyway so that's no bad thing. Certainly try it if you can.
A. B. (.
The best for Malaysian food in London. You can taste the authencity of each dishes. The atmosphere is very friendly with the warmth of togetherness.
A. S.
I was there for a meeting, but generally the facilities are open only to Malaysians and some form of identity needs to be shown. The catering for the meeting was provided by a Malaysian restaurant and typical and delicious Malaysian food was served.
S. C.
This is a great place to get Malay food, if you want food that tastes authentically Malay then come here! Unfortunately they have this rule where if you aren't Malaysian you are not allowed in, which has made me rate this place lower.
C. C.
A secret place located in the cul de sac of London's west end, the restaurant provides wonderful Malaysian food at a price averaged around 12 GBP with drinks as well. They serve Nasi Lemak, which is a typical Malaysian all day meal, as well as varieties of Halal food.
S. L.
If u miss malaysian food, you may come here. Look for number 34. But now eversince they locked d entrance to basement from d pavement side, u have to enter thru front door at d embassy and they requires you to show ur ID like a passport or NRIC. Based from past experience here (2017, 2018) i would say d taste of d food has dropped but still delicious. Maybe d chef has changed, no idea.
B. X.
Delish malaysian cuisines and kuih-muih. Hopefully to see more glutenfree choices on their menu. Reasonable price and cheap for London standard.
Great customer service!
Canteen looks cosy and clean!
P. W.
Used to be great and big portion, now it's just a lane down to nostalgia.
C. R.
This is a very unique restaurant/canteen. Unfortunately is NOT for everyone. Is only specifically for Malaysian. And Malaysian is allow to take other guests from any country. But must be accompany by a Malaysian. Sorry to say this. But is subsided by Malaysian government for Malaysian in the UK.
N. D.
Nice food and friendly staff but thelady asked if i was Malaysian but i lied anyway coz i really wanted to eat the food lol 😂😂I don't regret it loooool
i. n.
Good Malaysian food!
R. N.
Good tasty food at affordable price. However, there is an issue RE: Health & Safety with regards to inadequate fire-exit for the Canteen's Staff and patrons.
L. A.
Authentic home made malaysian food. Well price and highly recommended!
T. C.
Hidden Gem! Food was really tasty and affordable. Arrived quite late (half an hour before closing) but staff were very helpful and accommodating. Remember to bring some cash though as they don't accept cards.
S. B. J.
Malaysian food for cheap in London. All kinds of Malay dishes and snacks available. Malaysian should make it a point to go there if they ever feel like tasting home.
Z. R.
Malaysia Hall canteen is just like how I remembered it from when it was still in Bryanston Square near Marble Arch - decent, student quality food at an affordable price to satisfy Malaysians who are missing their familiar local fare. Decor is basic, canteen style, which is to be expected. Would I come here again? Perhaps, the next time I miss Malaysian food. Or perhaps I’d just as well pop over to Rasa Sayang, or Melur, or some of the other Malaysian spots in London instead.
J. C.
Nice food, acceptable price. Good for those that enjoy eating malaysian cuisine and those that missing the flavor of their home country's food.
R. D.
Good taste of local Malaysian food at London
a. c.
The new rule allows only Malaysians to get in to the restaurant, so if you aren't one like me and my wife and crave for some good Malaysian, the nearest one is 'Tudkin Flavours of Malaysia'.
S.
Best quality food in a quiet and friendly location. It is pretty central and lets in only malaysian citizens. Price is moderate and reasonable for london standards.
A. M.
I was in UK for 20 days & i missed malay food so i went to Malaysia hall canteen, varieties of malaysian food (nasik lauk pauk, char keow teow, char behoon etc) & drinks (teh tarik kopi tarik, sirap bandung, even kiuh muih pon hado.) They are new caterer this time & done a good job, food very tasty 😋
A. F.
Nice ambience. Nice food :-)
k. k.
The meal was overpriced & charged with the wrong amount by one of the cashier. It did happen twice during our visit. It should be only £6 but she charged us double at £12/meal. The other staff refund our money later, but it happened again during our second visit.
M. F. I.
Great Malaysian food!
C. M. Y.
Cheap and tasty for Malaysian foods.
A. C.
When a Malaysian misses home and the food, you can always venture here. Reasonably priced just disappointed that the Teh Tarik didn't had enough kick. My macha back home is still the best!
M. F.
Awesome authentic delicious fresh Malay food in central London
S. C.
Good service, friendly people, can satisfy your Malaysian fix. A little pricey and not super super tasty, but overall, ok.
O. O.
Food is delicious, but only deserve a 3-star rated here as the place should improve in hygienic issue at the area of used-dish near the basin.
K. C.
Excellent local Malaysian food. U can't find anywhere else. And friendly staff..
N. F.
Always great and cheap and authentic Malaysian food. Worth a trip just to see what's cooking. Also Malaysia Hall (next to the canteen) has Jum'aah on Fridays, in English and Bahasa. And Yasseen and Tahlil on Thurs nights.
S. L.
One of London's 'secrets': £5 gets you a home-cooked Malaysian meal. Rice with a choice of 3 dishes and veg. Rendang, curry etc. The kueh is great too.
E. P. B.
Great food - takes me back to my time in Malaysia. Will definitely be visiting once lockdown is over.
D. S.
A slice of Malay in a basement in Bayswater. Under the Commission down a corridor, leading to a canteen serving authentic food to expats. Menu could have a little English to help us foreigners fathom or the mysteries on display.
D. V.
Went today with a friend. Good food and good service with a smile. Well done to Kak Ani and fellow workers 🙂
B. C.
Amazing food and lovely staff. Some of the best Malaysian food I've eaten
I. K.
Cheap place to get nice Malaysian food. Make sure you put away your own dishes afterwards. Cash only if I remember correctly.
几.
Delicious Malaysian food
N. D.
Great food, great staff. If you are away from home, this is the place you need to be at for your home cooked food!
E. S.
Amazing gem, cheap, fantastic authentic Malaysian food. A mystery how they manage to make a Kway Teow that tastes as if one was teletransported to the Straits
C. Y.
Food was great and very reasonably priced. But the place was very crowded and it was hard getting a place to sit down after buying our food. So grab your seats first before you queue for the food.
F. D.
Authentic Malaysian cuisine. A wholesome experience and fulfilling meals to expose you to the delicacies of South East Asia.
K. K.
Great to find today 9/7/18 malaysia hall is open and curry puff and nasi lemak and sambal was great. Only thing too few fried ikan bilis
j. l.
Foods not bad. Just the price a bit expensive .( Sorry lah. I am Malaysian , used to these foods in cheaper price )
a.
A place where you can find authentic malaysian foods. Crowded during peak hour with limited tables. You need to bring your malaysian identity card along to enter
A. I. W. M.
The food are excellent...very tasty and authentically Malaysian. Reasonable price.
R. L.
From someone who never rates or comments: I thank God for places like this still existing in London. Food is awesome, as good as what I remember from my short holiday in Malaysia.
J. w.
Just like back to hometown
A. W.
Cheap Malaysian food. Worth emphasising that access to the canteen now is restricted to Malaysian citizens and/or their non-Malaysian family members due to security reasons.
t. f.
Good food. Makes you miss home.
S. M.
Really good food and great atmosphere. My favourite restaurant
w. “.
Nothing is in English so you'll have to feel your way. But the food is tasty and cheap and the staff are delightful, and ready to help. It would benefit from air conditioning.
A. m. y.
Nice place for malaysian food. Extremely good value for money. But the place is only for Malaysia.
S. A.
Very good food although they tend to run out early especially the good stuff like rendang and nasi lemak. Very reasonably priced too
C. W.
Great to stop over to have some local Malaysian cuisine but a real faff to have to carry your passport just to have grab a meal.
T. P.
Food was reasonably priced. Enjoyed local Malay food. Nice people kind.
R. S. A.
As a Malaysian, I am so happy and proud with this initiative. Good food, friendly workers, clean and nice ambient.
M. W.
Taste just like in Malaysia :)
F. Y.
Expensive but a good place if you want to avoid cold weather outside, and you have been missing malaysian food. Provides good place for prayer and toilets too
T. L.
