Deanna catered our wedding in July 2021 and I would recommend her without hesitation to any couples out there! Our guests are still talking about the miso aubergine...it's a testimony to Deanna's culinary prowess that this was a last-minute add for any vegans, but it was still executed to such a high level. Deanna supported us through really uncertain times (we weren't even sure we could have the wedding until about 2 weeks before) and truly went out of her way for us - it was a challenge to be able to taste the menu with restaurants and kitchens closed, but she pulled it off! The menu itself was exactly what we wanted - a Turkish/meze fusion to represent the time wed spend living together in Green Lanes. Deanna 'got' the brief immediately. The staff Deanna worked with on the day were so professional and personable. Again, another talking point of the wedding 7 months on it how fun the bar staff were! I can't imagine how any caterer in the whole of London (nay, the UK!) could have done a more perfect job. Thank you, Deanna! We'll be in touch for the anniversary bash!

We feel very lucky to have found and secured Platter and Slate to caterer our wedding. Deanna was brilliant to work with. It felt like we bonded very quickly and refined the menu together. Deanna is very passionate, her ideas are creative, the food very tasty, and refined. We had a drinks and canapé reception at Clissold House before our 3 course sharing meal at the West Reservoir Centre up the road for 90. So all in all quite a logistical number for Deanna to manage with her team. It was seamless and the food was fantastic. Since our wedding, many of our guests have commented on how memorable and enjoyable the food was.

I cannot recommend Platter and Slate more fulsomely. I care passionately about food, so when we were deciding on who we would get to cater our wedding, in June 2018, I spoke to more than 15 companies across London. Deanna was completely delightful from the very get-go. She was always quick to respond to emails and when we discussed what we were after she listened very carefully and came up with some wonderful suggestions for our menu. I am allergic to gluten, which can sometimes create difficulties, but Deanna proposed a menu that was so delicious that no one even noticed that it was gluten-free. She even made me a special rosemary and chickpea gluten-free bread to have on the side. The presentation of the food was absolutely exquisite. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and the riot of colours on the plate looked just beautiful. We opted for salmon as our main dish, which is incredibly difficult to get right for 140 people, yet Deanne managed to ensure that it was cooked perfectly so the flesh was still gently translucent in the middle. Almost all of our guests commented on how special the food was - which is really a rarity at big catered events, where people are used to being served predictable fare. Deanna is a fabulous cook and a truly wonderful person and I'm keen to throw a big party to renew our vows just so that we can hire her again! I really could not be more grateful.

Deanna did the catering for our wedding reception. She served canapes that were beautiful, delicious and original - not the usual tired, boring ones that most caterers provide. The main course dishes were also truly wonderful: creative, varied and unique. Deanna was thoroughly professional from start to finish and all our guests loved the food! Excellent catering for our wedding. Deanna was very friendly, flexible, full of imaginative ideas and a very good communicator. We felt safe in her hands! And the food was both fabulous and plentiful. Guests raved about it, and many (including our wedding planner!) said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Platter & Slate provided canapes and drinks for our companies 10 year celebration. Before the event Deanna was very helpful with suggestions for our selection. On the day the canapes were absolutely amazing, really delicious and well presented and the service provided was excellent. I came across Deanna at a Christmas party where she had done the catering and knew she’d be a good person to speak to about our wedding. Deanna was collaborative, knowledgeable and passionate about great food. Our meetings with her were always fun and never rushed - she really listened to our ideas and would then come back to us with ides and suggestions once she’d had time to think about it. You can tell the puts her heart and soul into each event. We had a great tasting evening at Billingsgate market where we honed the menu. We went for sharing mezze food to start with following by lamb. Deanna even made mini bagels for everyone to enjoy on the bus from our ceremony to reception. All our guests praised the food, and we could see what a slick operation Deanna ran on the day. Gordon and I had our wedding in Clissold House on the 9th of September 2017. Platter and Slate was the obvious choice for us as we love seafood and they are based out of Billingsgate Market. From the get go Deanna was a pleasure to deal with, really up front, friendly and full of ideas and options for us. She was super flexible and nothing was ever a stress. On the evening of the wedding she and the serving team were totally on point. After the ceremony we had delicious little canapes and had requested Irish oysters which were expertly shucked and tasted sweet, plump and so fresh. We opted for sharing platters to start which everyone really loved. There was an incredible mixture of seafood, duck rillettes, cold cuts and the best chicken liver pate I have ever tasted!! This was a serious knock out with our guests. For mains we had roast lamb and halibut, both were cooked to perfection. Our vegan and vegetarian guests really enjoyed their aubergine baklava dishes. Presentation was really beautiful too. Gordon and I absolutely recommend Platter and Slate. It really is wonderful when your guests say that it was the best wedding meal they have ever had!

Deanna and co caterered for our wedding reception at clissold house on 15th July 2017. We were absolutely blown away by the service. We had canapés then a three course meal, and every mouthful was divine! Even our snobbiest foody friends are still raving about it! We highly recommend you use Platter and Slate to cater your event. We hired Platter and Slate to cater our wedding. We were having a rustic, summer solstice wedding and wanted British themed canapés, picnic food for our wedding breakfast, and charcuteries for our evening food. Platter and Slate went above and beyond to make sure all our requirements were met and kept within our budget. The food was delicious, everything had wonderful flavours and was incredibly fresh. Everything was presented so beautifully and within keeping to the theme of the wedding. Guest couldn't stop complimenting us about how delicious the food was. A lot of care went into making sure the food for our big day was fantastic.

Platter & Slate catered a birthday party (90 guests) for us at Clissold House in April 2019. I was initially impressed by the detailed personal service by email and phone during the planning stages. Deanna was so willing and eager to listen to what we needed and came up with great suggestions and solutions. Nothing was too much trouble. And on the night we were delighted by the food - we opted for a mixture of canapes and bowl food which were passed around - all of which was fresh, creative, seasonal, well balanced, plentiful and utterly delicious. We finished with a magnificent cheese board. We had lots of compliments from our guests on the food and service and the atmosphere of the party really benefitted from the level of professionalism that Deanna and her team brought to the event.
