Recommended to me by friends and colleagues, so we booked a table and went to eatn .. the staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, and the food is incredible, the best steak I've ever had for sure! .. definately coming again!

Hidden gem in the old town. Make sure you book, it's not the cheapest, but quality always costs that little bit extra. Great meal, great service. Narrow stairs for anyone that has a problem with them . Now for the food.. hummus a bit dry. But that's the only thing I could fault. Venison, Haddock Scottish not to be missed. Steaks looked perfectly cooked, Halibut was great....Enjoy

What a find, cozy atmosphere, lovely selection of beers and wines. The main event though is the fabulous food. Rare cuts of beef, I had the flat iron steak, as well as a choice of fish, all locally sourced and perfectly cooked. This place is a must, note you will need to book ahead.

Came here based on trying there street food in Leeds (great by the way). The location is central, authentic and cosy (additional seating upstairs). The rock and roll in the background is nicely atmospheric and there's a good selection of local beers. The highlight is the meat, cooked to tender perfection and worth tasting. The truffle fries are very good but the potato itself needs more lover. It's very good and worth the visit. I would however say the street food stall they have is even better if you see it!

Ordered for collection through Deliveroo and it was ready to collect in 10 minutes. We'd heard great things and it easily lived up to it. Fantastic all round! The burgers were amazing!!

My absolute favourite restaurant in Hull. Great pub with an extensive menu and the upstairs restaurant is so quaint. The food is exceptional and the service too. There is a very good wine list, a large selection of gin and real ale too. Worth a visit to Hull just to eat here!

We booked Shoot the Bull to cater our outdoor wedding in June 2017. The food was incredible, so tasty, and so impressive. Chris was happy for us to combine options from different menus to meet dietary needs, and the service on the day was fantastic. The staff were friendly and professional, and all of our guests LOVED the food. We would definitely recommend Shoot the Bull, they are accommodating, professional, they deliver excellent service, and the food is delicious.

Very impressed! Well appointed and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff serving excellent dishes with a focus on, you guessed it, beef. Not sure that there's anywhere better in Hull.. get yasen there, duck!

Food looks nice, but dont be decived as I could hardly taste the curried scotch egg through the salt. Also the same for the duck I had. Wouldn't re visit in a hurry.
