j. l.I went here as my daughters phone screen was broken. I called and immediately received a quote which was consistent with the final price. The service was prompt and efficient.
They specially ordered the part needed as they did not have the colour in stock that matched the original but gave the option to use a different colour if the repair was urgent.
Even with needing to wait for the part the total time to repair was no more than 2 days.
I am very impressed with the quality of the repair and the time taken to complete it.
The price was consistent with what I would expect for this type of work and they did not attempt to cut corners or overprice on anything.

The value for money was excellent, for only £20, missing volume buttons replaced, cracked back cover and camera cover replaced, front camera cleaned out of dust, and front screen reseated where it was coming loose round the edges.
Some previous work from a competing repair shop (entirely unrelated to T&G) had left the phone filled with excess glue inside, making it more difficult to repair, but they dealt with this extra hassle with no extra charge, even throwing in a free camera module replacement where it couldn't be lifted out without damaging it.
All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value of the repair and their excellent service.

S. B.Contacted them about repairing a broken charging port for a Lenovo tab 2 A10-70F. Took it in that day, was ready mid morning the next day. I had been quoted £30, which I had found to be the market rate.
However when I collected it, was only charged £20 as they told me they only needed to re-solder the original part.
Needless to say I was delighted and surprised.
Been working perfectly for over a month now, would definitely use again and recommend.

S. H.Even if you don't like something, you can't give those guys less than what they deserve; five fat starts. Customer service is what makes a place worth dealing with. They are always responsive, friendly and they don't change their way of dealing with you if something goes wrong. I replaced my mobile screen before at this place, and when I faced some touch problems, they very calmly and kindly replaced it again for free exactly as their warranty says without trying to make you faulty or the need for endless arguments.. I even needed an advice regarding a second hand device I bought lately. I called them this morning, and asked about the battery performance and replacement. Although it took less than 10 mins, but I appreciated that this gentleman helped with advice and answered all my questions without complaining or trying to bring me into the shop to answer them.

Took my laptop in to be fixed (broken hinges) - When handing in my laptop I was clearly told about the work that would be done on it, and the various options that could be taken to fix it, as well as the various risks with each one. Even the price was laid out clearly before, which was really helpful. They were also sympathetic to the fact I am a student, and kept their word on pricing. M. D.After I accidentally dropped my Chromebook and damaged the laptop screen, I threw my computer at their services in order to get the damaged screen repaired. The cost of the surgery on the Chromebook was a mere 50 quid. They didn't require me to have to pay for the replacement part either so I was pleased with the price they quoted me. The company was fast and quick with the repairs so I didn't wait so long which was surprising when I thought my model parts for the screen would probably take weeks to arrive. They managed to obtain and repair my screen in less than a week. Overall, I'm happy with the newly repaired screen on my Chromebook.

Yesterday evening at 6.20pm I cracked the screen of my iPhone 7. It was that bad glass pieces a were falling off. Googled phone repairs and found this place. Started a web chat with them at 6.30pm and they provided a quote. Phone was dropped off, fixed and collected, looking immaculate, by 7.30pm. All for £45. Cannot fault this service!!

I had a mystery problem where my phone had died while in my pocket at go-karting. It suffered no visible damage and did not respond to charging.
T&G identified that it had just completely recharged and fixed it by the time I got back. They also warned me that a crack in the back of my phone may cause a shatter when opening the phone to investigate. It didn't shatter but I appreciated the warning.
Very satisfied. If I ever need a phone fixing, I'll go there again, even though it's out of my way!

I went in there the first time not really knowing what to expect. I had attempted to repair my phone myself because id been to several other phone shops and left them feeling like I had been quoted an insane price. I went to T&G repairs with my catastrophic attempt and they were very polite, well presented and clearly took pride in their work. I went within the last hour of closing time and he asked wether I could collect it tomorrow (which was already better than the week id previously been quoted). At 8.30pm i recieved a phone call to say he had repaired my phone completely, well after the shops closing time. It is fair to say that I left this store a lot happier with a lot more cash in my wallet that day!

I found T&G very quickly on Google and called them straight away. After a quick chat, they gave me a price and I took the phone down to their Selly Oak shop to be repaired.
I was surprised to find it was also a kind of local convenience shop. Don't be concerned though. The guys who work there are friendly and helpful, honest and know their stuff.
They work hard to repair your phone or tablet as quickly and as cheaply as possible for you whilst getting a great result.
I am always a little unsure when using a company I haven't used before, but T&G quickly put me at ease. Unfortunately my repair needed a new housing as well as screen and back. They had a quick search and let me know that it would be easiest and cheapest for me to get that from eBay and bring it to them. They got the screen and back of the phone for me, ready to sort the phone out for me.
I returned with the housing I needed and left them to repair my phone. They said it would be repaired same day or next day and sure enough the next day they rang to tell me it was ready.
They have done an excellent job! I am writing this on my phone right now and it's working perfectly. Not bad considering it was slammed in the car door of a people carrier just a few days ago!
I'm very grateful to the guys at T&G for doing such a great job, being so friendly and confident about repairing it.
I wouldn't have any problem recommending them to anybody needing telephone or tablet repairs in Selly Oak, Harborne, Bourneville, Northfield, Edgbaston or the rest of Birmingham.

M. H.I went to Apple Touchwood Centre store in Solihull to fix my iPhone and they couldn't fix it. I found this store online, which had good reviews, so I decided to try out as Apple Touchwood has failed to do so.
As I entered T&G repairs, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, Zaki, who came to my help. He clearly laid out the problem and multiple options I cab go with. It was no other customer service, seeing as a self running bussiness, who understood my problem as theirs.
We agreed on a screen repair from them which will only take an outstanding 1 hour let alone all the other phones they have to do. So a firmly came to the agreement and waited.
An hour later, the screen was good as new. They stated the procedure they had outgoing with my phone and gave me a fair price which I happily agreed to.
In conclution, this shop was honest about there prices and gave out multiple options to go with, also the addition of the great customer service and also a convinent store too. I will happily return to this shop again if any issues ever to persist and will also take into account the poor service at Apple Touchwood.

B. R.These are definitely people you can trust with a £500 phone! You get a price before any work is done, and if it's not to your liking you walk away, no complaints. The work they've done for me has always been first rate, and delivered promptly. I do have a couple of niggles however. The last time I dropped off a handset I didn't get a receipt for it, which is so easy to rectify. Having said that a change for the better has been the use of non adhesive stickers to write your details on the handset for repair. These now peel off easily without leaving a horrible mark on your phone. The second small niggle is really just that, a small niggle. Because of the way they keep down their prices by sourcing components as needed, it sometimes means a components for newer handsets might not be available. On the other hand I've never had them push a repair on me I didn't actually need, even when they could have made easy money. I once took in an Xperia Z5 Premium with what I thought was a dodgy charging/data port. They tested it there and then, and imeadiatley told me that it was the cable that was faulty. I was further advised that given how new the handset was at the time I'd be better off repairing through Sony due to warranty considerations. I now take all my phones to then for repair. They're trustworthy, honest, and won't lie to you just to make a quick buck. That's a rare thing these days in a business, and one that I'm very glad to see. This business is a perfect example of how imagination, in whatever generation it might take, adds to our economy and helps it grow through hard work and innovation.

A. C.The battery on my wife's very old Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would only function when it was plugged. As soon, as it was unplugged it completely discharged. I was frantically calling around to see who would be able to provide a new battery, and they were able to do so. What makes it extra special is that the charger was a genuine Samsung one, at a very competitive price and the shop was open at 9 am on a Sunday morning. My wife and children had to go on a long distance flight, and it was 'touch and go' whether I would be able to get the battery or not. I called, visited, and had the battery charger replaced within 20 minutes. The battery is still going strong. If I need to get anything related to mobiles in the future, I will visit them firstly. Simply fantastic service, and the shop owner (Zaki) came across as friendly and genuine.

A.Well where do i start, a few days ago my Huawei p20 pro suddenly broke down,the screen went blank and i couldnt see anyyhing to access my phone or backup my data(stupid me),i had over 4k pictures and 100s of videos of my babies and friends and family, in a panic i started calling around,i called huawei and luckily i was still under warranty so they would repair or replace my mobile but downside was that i lose all my data, they advised me to get my data recovered from any independant store so i started calling around,i must have called atleast 40 odd mobile stores all across England as i was getting more and more desperate but not one store said they can recover my data without replacing the screen which was going to cost me 250plus if i did go ahead with screen replqcement i was going to lose my warranty with huawei and perhaps still have issues with mobile down the line..anyways i came across T&G and alhamdullilah what more can i say,i went in and told Zaki my problem,he was very understanding and said to give him 45mins and he will try,so whilst i waited outside in my car feeding my baby i waited patiently.45 mins later i went back into the shop and zaki said he managed to get into phone but got logged back out he saw that i had 42gb data of photos in my mobile and said he kept getting logged out even after managing to get into it once,he advised i get the screen replaced from somewhere else or he will do it and hopefully i get my data back that way, but since Zaki got into the phone inthe first place i thought perhaps he needed more time and had full faith in him and trusted that he wpuld definatly be able to get back into the phone but just needed more time and not the pressure of me waiting outside ,so i decided to leave my phone with zaki letting him know i will come back the nextday to collect. I had a strong feeling he will defo get into it and retrieve my data ,A few hours later i got a text from Zaki stating that he has all my data and will put on USB for me to collect the nextday.OMG i was over the moon i cpuldnt thank him enough,the pics and vids inthere may not mean much to anyone else but for me they were my memories of those ppl who are dearest to me some who i have lost years ago and some who still remain here. You cant put a price on memories and if i was rich i would have given Zaki so much more. Believe me when i say this i called everywhere and no one was able to do what Zaki did,i even called the forensics to recover my data and their asking price was 450pounds and i couldnt afford to pay that much. Zaki charges are so cheap and first class service from start to finish.i would recommend him over and over again and will definatly use his service again.a truely topclass mobile tech alhamdulillah.stay blessed and insha Allah your business rises high.
