Ahmed of Phone City is an institution, a very smart, helpful and informative guy who is liked and respected by locals and is kind to everybody whether or not they are giving him business. I know this because he repaired my antique iphone this evening while I waited. I now have a restored phone which is as good as new, previously it wouldn't turn on and was smashed all over, other shops just laughed at it and told me I needed to buy a new phone. It was a big job but Ahmed was pleasant company, I was also pleasantly surprised by what he charged me. I won't go anywhere else for laptop or phone repairs in future, and can thoroughly recommend this place.

I went here and was originally going to buy a new phone from him which cost £140 and he said he could fix my broken phone then and there for £90. Not one to suck money for the sake of it!! After having a disappointing (to say the very least) experience at iSmash, Kings Cross where I was carelessly told that my water damaged iPhone 6 was unrepairable, after them having it for 4 days and not once contacting me (even on the 2 occasions they said they would), I was left extremely frustrated with iSmash and doubted whether they'd even looked at my phone. So I thought I'd try else where before considering getting a new phone, I googled nearby phone shops and found Phone City. Very much to my amazement, the gentleman (Ahmed) at the shop had brought life back to my phone within 10 minutes!!!! He explained (when tested) that the phone indicated that it was repairable and continued to carry out the necessary work to have it back in order, which all in all took less than an hour! Throughout that time, Ahmed was very polite, friendly and very informative, welcoming me to observe all the work he was doing to my phone. I can't thank Ahmed enough, the service was outstanding and cost very reasonable. He confirmed for me what I've always believed to be, that a lot of these big high st chain stores are all about the money and less about the service! Hopefully won't need to go back anytime soon but should I have any future phone issues, I know where I am going!

Really helpful! Initially we went to iSmash as my phone had water damage, it still turned on but the screen wouldnt respond to touch. iSmash were very ignorant and when they heard "water" they didn't want anything to do with it. Took it to Ahmed at Phone City and he was so helpful, fixed my phone without a problem and even chucked in a free screen protector.
