Belfast's oldest church, this splendid, fairly intact building from 1783 is unmissable. It often has Raymond O'Regan, an historian present, who is a mine of information on this church and the city. He and several of the congregation try to keep this church open for visitors most days, which is a real service to the city. Apparently 20,000 have passed through in the past 18 years. Not affiliated with the current Presbyterian Church in Ireland, the congregation here are amongst the most inclusive Christian communities in N Ireland. They have always been ahead of their time. Frequent recitals and lunchtime performances happen in summer time. Call in and prepare to be fascinated.

Beautiful Building and A Wonderful Denomination.A Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church of Northern Ireland,Liberal in Thoughts and No Man made Creeds or Confessions of Faith, only in Private Thought If you can or cannot Believe in Creeds,It is up to you,A wonderful History of Selfless act of One Religion towards Another within Christianity.

I was actually in in this very beautiful and ornate First Presbyterian Church several years ago. I do believe l was representing our family at a Funeral.
We actually had a Presbyterian Minister married into our family who are mostly very Church Of Ireland orientated that said I will visit it again very soon.
