D. W.Beautiful Church unusual Octagonal shape built in the mid 1830s set among the houses of Rowhedge and near to the River Colne. The Architect, William Mason also designed St Botolphs, Colchester and St James, Brightlingsea before He emigrated to New Zealand and went on to design Government House in Auckland and numerous other Public Buildings.
Lovely tranquil churchyard with pretty flowers!
Z. F.Lovely Church..unfortunately last service last weekend until further notice for services. Be pleased when it is opened again ! service for Eucharist was re organised to fit in with Co-vit rules and distances! Not quite the same atmosphere...
