We visited as part of the Family Christmas Eve service. Having not been to any of the services since lockdown in March 2020, it was wonderful to be back. Although not the usual busy service due to social distancing, it felt really inclusive and welcoming as always. A big thanks to Stewart, Lourens and team for a wonderful service and we look forward to returning more frequently in 2022.

Walking along 'Portobello beach promenade', you can see in the distance the beautiful bell tower of 'Portobello & Joppa Parish Church', a beautiful and ancient church, completed in 1877 and surrounded by a well-kept park, where many children supervised by their parents played.

This is a wonderful church which is administered by its two ministers Stewart and Lauren's. During the pandemic they have produced very regular on line updates, Zoom services and kept their considerable congregation informed and served in their ministry through sermon, observation and a gentle humour which is enjoyable. The music provided by members of the congregation, but particulatly Fiona has enhanced everythinslo g with the visuals and photos. A great place with great people.

What a beautiful church. Bright and very inviting. Great memories as I used to play football for St Philips youth club in early 60's Gave me a great lift.😀

Very nice people and welcoming. We cane for messy play although my Don preferred to play with the toys. We learned more about the bible and it was very relaxed.

You have a choice of 3 different types of worship which suits everyone. All are well presented and the numbers attending are a testament to the team work! A lovely cuppa awaits after each service, served by enthusiastic members of the Church!
