Reviews of St Margaret Pattens Eastcheap
Loverly little church in the city. Great wood panels inside this quiet space. It has a mini museum of shoe pattens. These were fixed underneath your shoes to lift your feet above the mud and muck that covered the streets in old London. Inside was clean and tidy, well worth a visit if nearby.
Lovely City Church with nearly 1000 years of history
Good AA meeting
Small church not overwhelming
Lovely, quite space to reflect
Good acoustics
We entered this church and found a beautiful piano concert, they explained to us that they often organize events and prayer meetings. A small oasis of peace where you can linger given the busy area!!
(Translated) Very nice church!

Sehr schön Kirche!
Such a beautiful experience! The concert by the Brandenberg choir was so perfect; wonderful voices and a great choice of carols resonant in the lovely old church.
Situated right next door to 20 Fenchurch Street (the Walkie Talkie) this is typical of many of the churches within the City of London that seem slightly out of place with the development of the City (which used to be an area where people lived rather than just worked).
This church is used by The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers and is a designated guild church under the City of London (Guild Churches) Acts 1952 and 1960. This allows a church to hold weekday rather than Sunday services and is generally used where the population and demographics have changed such that a church would not normally be viable.
One of the many small churches in the city that are very old and full of interesting history
Very well kept and maintained this church is used extensively not only for services but also for meetings and lectures
Also a great place to step outside the hustle of the city and take a few minutes to relax and think
Well worth a visit if you are close by.
Special note+ Parking is next to impossible!!
Another beuty from Wren. Contains display by two WCs attached to this church. Almost open all days. Good cheap cafe at entrance with chairs when open. Next to skygarden.
Lovely old church. The patterns were like a clog which attached to your shoe to keep out of the mud. Little museum in the church
Fascinating place within the square mile. Interesting history nicely displayed. Not generally open to the public though. Service on Thursday at lunchtime.
Full of interesting displays and plaques, and lovely dark wood seating. Definitely worth a look inside!
Peacfull
