Reviews of St Mary's Church Walthamstow
j. b.
Grade II Listed, much altered, enlarged and rebuilt with a prominent 16th.Century parapeted tower and surrounded by an evocative churchyard, almshouses, former glebe land and historical village remnants.
Interior displays a noteworthy array of monuments, tablets, plaques and tombs.
An active community here.

Lovely churchyard/cemetery on both sides of the alley. The more recent and more looked after is by the church. Over the alley is the further back in time and less looked after x tranquil

By far the best church in Walthamstow. Being restored and renewed at present but still open.

Beautiful building, interesting people, friendly vicar. I like that they care about the environment and social justice as well as having a deep spirituality.

Very old church which is closed to any new buriels, parts of the church I am told date back 600 years, has an old alms house annex which used to house the poor and needy which now is home to private individuals.

Walthamstow community choir practices here every Monday evening. Small musical events are held here too. Very old church with nice stained glass windows.

A great church with good monuments but there is no visitor contact info and it's not normally open, so one has to unfortunately make a prearranged visit via the parish office.

Well worth booking when the tower tour is available for open house weekends. You can see for miles and the history is fascinating.

Ancient church with lots of history and atmosphere. Regular open days where you can climb the tower to view the bells and the surrounding area from the roof.

(Translated) Ancient church with adjoining small cemetery, full of the charm deriving from the signs that leaves time, even if it does not contain particularly valuable works, the visit is pleasant and in some way relaxing
(Original)
Antica chiesa con annesso piccolo cimitero, piena del fascino derivante dai segni che lascia il tempo, anche se non contiene opere particolarmente pregevoli, la visita risulta piacevole ed in qualche modo rilassante

(Translated) Small church, near Straford station. As I passed by her, one morning, I watched homeless people sleeping in their gardens. This made me think that the British government allows it, which I considered acceptable.
(Original)
Iglesia pequeña, cerca de la estación de Straford. Al pasar por cerca de ella, una mañana, observé a vagabundos durmiendo en sus jardines. Esto me hizo pensar que el gobierno británico lo permite, lo cual consideré como aceptable.
