P.I was born on New Bank St 1962 and was visiting the street and area and called in here just by chance to have a look at the furniture they have for sale not realising that it was a homeless centre. I was made very welcome by really friendly people that don't have a lot and was even offered a meal although I am very fortunate not to have needed one . Made me think about how very lucky I am to have what I have ... A nice home in cheshire 2 healthy adult Children 3 healthy Grandchildren 3 Cars never had a single day out of work in more than 35 years working had reasonably good health but the very fine line between that and all it might take is a serious illness losing my job and not being able to work a gambling or drinking addiction for whatever reason and one day I might have to take them up on the offer of a hot meal and shelter and could be back on the Street in Manchester where I was born ......
