Comfortable place for worship. Very near to the Metro for only a minute walk.

A large but friendly church that has stood the test of time, holds unashamed views grounded in the new testament. Well led by a strong leadership team, will services televised for internal repeater tvs as well as online connections. Many small groups extend their Sunday offerings, with outreach into all areas of the community.

Well run church which was working itself out of the pandemic in a very well managed way when I visited. I received a warm welcome from a church warden or welcome who was very friendly, but it was difficult to find other conversatios/welcome. The building was very well maintained, preserving the fairly old building in the best way possible. The church is big and they use monitors for many parts of the building. Fairly central Newcastle. Walk g distance from city centre, closer still to the University.

As a stranger to this church some years ago I was given a warm welcome. A vibrant working church in the local community and in overseas mission. The church follows the command of Jesus to preach the gospel. I think I have seen every nation represented in the usually packed church over the years. They are a praying, caring church.

Attended the Carol by Candlelight service with friends and family tonight. It fills your heart with joy to hear such beautiful music, choir, readings and sermon. Thankyou for our gift of Jesus at Christmas and the Love of Christ in our world. Great welcome and hospitality from a parish in the centre of Newcastle. Sincere regards and appreciation for a well coordinated festival of the word.

Capacious Anglican church with strong evangelical ethos and unusually large congregation with members from across Tyneside. Strong on music, both modern and traditional. Friendly atmosphere with hot drinks available after each service and welcome desk for people new to the church. Very popular with students and families, not least because there are lots of activities and groups during the week catering for all ages. Sermons tend to be a bit on the long side and can sometimes feel like a lecture, which is a pity as often this means the impact of the message being conveyed is diluted or almost completely lost. Howeve, for anyone who likes traditional Christmas rituals, the annual round of candlelit carol services is something to savour and unsurprisingly draws in the crowds.

Having lived in Newcastle for last 15 years I have seen some ungodly churches where pastors and leaders stand in the pulpit and crack jokes, never preach the word, prosperity gospel preachers among others. In this liberal culture it’s hard to preach against the sin that’s prevalent in society. The vicar and the leadership team at JPC stand for biblical truth and preach faithfully from it. The people are loving and kind to one another if you are looking for a biblical church where you will be encouraged to grow as a Christian then this is a really good church. Secondly I can also recommend Newcastle reformed church at Benton which is good bible based teaching church.

I worshipped here for over a year. The church is well founded on the scriptures. It is an amazing place to be.

We worshipped here for nearly 8 years and found a prayerful, loving and biblically sound church which helped me and my husband enormously in our Christian faith.
