Wonderful atmosphere at Midnight Mass this Christmas! Modern style cathedral, with some exceptional features. The frieze behind the mail altar is a wonder, as is the timber-framed roof interior.

My experience about being in the Northampton Cathedral was positive and unique!!

Amazing place with good masses. I usually go to the mass at 8.30 am every morning. The parking facilities in front of the cathedral is very much minimal but, there is a relatively large parking space (around 50 cars)just behind the cathedral which you can access by taking a left turn before or after the cathedral on the hill.

Cathedrals are beautiful. It's a personal preference to visit them but they each have their own history and story. The architecture is what is worth seeing.

This is a Catholic Cathedral. Well worth a visit. You can only go during service times as this is a place of worship, not a fee entry type of church . Amazing stained glass windows..

We held my brother's funeral in the Cathedral in December 2016 and it gave us great pleasure to be in Northampton's beautiful cathedral. Father Brendan spent an hour with us a few weeks prior to the funeral to discuss what we wanted and he guided us through the format of the service. He listened to what we wanted and he incorporated our chosen hymns (one on CD) and prayers into the service. His office helped us to compose the Order Of Mass booklet and they liaised with the funeral directors on our behalf. Many people who came to the service were of other faiths and some of none, but Father Brendan made everyone feel very welcome and included. We love symbolism in the R.C. church together with incense, flowers, joyful music and beautiful vestments and after the mass so many people said how interesting and moving the service was. Well done Father Brendan and Team.

The Polish parish in N. could take tutoring here, also from preaching, but above all from the approach to the faithful and priesthood duties. (Original) Niesamowita architektura, surowy wystrój, bez niepotrzebnych sacro bajerów. Widać, że to kościół angielski, który nadąża za potrzebami współczesnych ludzi. Kontaktowy ksiądz. Polska parafia w N. mogłaby tu wziąć korepetycje, również z głoszenia kazań, ale przede wszystkim z podejścia do wiernych i obowiązków kapłańskich.
