L. W.This is another beautiful church in a small village in Northamptonshire. It can trace its origins back to circa 1500, when the west tower was constructed.
The grounds are nicely kept and there is definately an air of tranquility surrounding this church.
U. A. V. B. a. R.St. Peter & St. Paul Church at Hannington forms part of a Benefice including Old, Scaldwell & Walgrave. Sunday Services. Wheel-chair accessible from the roadside. >>> Interestingly, the small tower houses three chimable bells of which the Service bell is rare in the fact that a quotation inscription taken from a bible scripture exists upon it. (16th. century, founder unknown). The second bell dated 1615, cast by Hugh II Watts of Leicester & the third is a Sanctus bell re-cast from earlier bell metal by J. Taylor & Co. in 1868.
