Reviews of St Mary's Church
This place has so many memories. I started going to Astbury church when I was seven. I started in the choir from being a child through to adult. I was also alter boy for holy communion.
Beautiful old church, fascinating history, 2000+ year old yew tree in church yard
Beautiful church with a very welcoming congregation, the rector is a wonderful and warm person too, we go to the 11am family service.
Beautiful church. Attended a christening here and even though there was a little mix up with dates, it was beautiful.
The church is set in an amazing little area which is stunning to look at.
(Egg)cellent! Easter Day service with an imaginative rector, who led the congregation outside to sing hymns . WIth this it feels like finally think we getting back to something like a more normal service
A fabulous church building with entrance arch to the churchyard and attached tower. The grave stones around the building are also amazing with so many clearly marked and easy to read and yet dating back to 1700's.
An outstanding building, this church can not fail to impress, even from a distance the spire marks it out as something special. Worth making the detour for if you are in the area.
Absolutely wonderful, the vicar has a great sense of humour and was very commanding in his manner. Lovely church.
Most wonderful church
A beautiful church and surroundings with a lovely rector and staff
