Amazing Place, you can find all sorts of things from Southampton fridge magnets and cups to Titanic ornaments. The shop has a spot inside the 129 Robin's Nest shop. The building is impressive and it's a must-visit. There is also a coffee shop upstairs, which can be nice after a long day of walking around the city.

Oceans is a gift/souvenir shop aimed primarily at the thousands of people who come through Southampton as part of their cruise ship itinerary. It's located on Southampton High Street and also doubles as a kind of tourist information hub. Their bag/luggage storage facility, located above the shop, offers a safe place to leave things whilst taking advantage of the vast array of nearby shopping and dining opportunities but I don't know how much they charge for this. The shop is small and space is very limited inside so it's not suitable for large groups of people. They have a selection of leaflets promoting attractions that are within easy reach of Southampton such as the beautiful New Forest national park, Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World, Beaulieu Motor Museum and Marwell Zoological Park amongst others. They also have leaflets for places like the Isle of Wight which is just 1 hour away by car ferry or 22 minutes by fast ferry, plus Bournemouth with it's sandy beach and fun seaside attractions and Portsmouth with it's Historic Dockyard and popular Clarence Pier, both of which are less than 1 hour's drive from Southampton. Their stock consists of exactly the sort of items you would expect from this type of establishment such as postcards, decorative notepads, pens, pencils, badges, bookmarks, fridge magnets, keyrings, mugs, tea towels, t-shirts, hats/caps, ornamental plates/paperweights, novelty models including the iconic old style British red telephone boxes, plus myriad other items and knick-knacks of the holiday gift/souvenir type. Whilst they do sell items that carry a local theme of Southampton or the New Forest for example, it appears that a larger amount of their stock actually has a London theme which I think is wrong. A local shop should promote the local area first and foremost and I think their stock should reflect that instead of cashing in on the popularity of London. The staff member who dealt with me was helpful and polite which is one for the plus column but the cramped interior and lack of locally themed souvenirs are definite minus points for me so it gets a pretty average 3 stars.
