Reviews of Truro Cathedral

I love old Churches and so really wanted to visit here during my holiday in Cornwall.
I am disabled and use a mobility scooter so was not really sure how much of this I would be able to see.
My wife and I were very surprised at the efforts made to make the building accessible and I was able to get to pretty much everything.
We both loved the feel.of the building. The architecture is brilliant and there are some stunning stained glass windows. The building is relatively small compared to other Cathedrals we have visited, but do not let that detract from what is offered here.
The building is grand in design but not over assuming as some other locations we have visited, and so we both really felt a connection to the building, and as Christians we both loved seeing a message about Christ on the first wall section that you see as you go around the inside of the building.

The cathedral was absolutely brilliant.
I am an atheist but heard a service going on and wanted to check it out. As I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly lady who handed me the New Testament and another book.
She was polite and I then proceeded to sit down in a hall with great architecture and amazing singing. Despite being an atheist, I still greatly appreciated the design features and the care provided for the Cathedral all these years after it was built.

Visiting from the States and our friend brought us to this Great Cathedral. We actually went because they were having a Craft fair which was very nice.
The Cathedral itself is breathtaking in it's architecture. Simply incredible, words can't properly speak to how special it is.
In the area give them a visit.

We visited today and it was free to enter. The Cathedral is beautiful we spent quite a bit of time taking everything in and just enjoying it. There's also a restaurant, toilets and a gift shop

Beautiful place , free entry, only asking to donate whatever you can , but you don't have to. Got contact less machine if no cash to donate. Good locations , close to car parks and town center

Very nice cathedral, inside and out. The staff were helpful on arrival. They had one way in, and one way out because of Covid. And I did feel confident in that I was going into a safe environment. The only disappointing part which was the Chapter House, as it was turned into a restaurant, and wasn't what I was expecting for such a building.

Beautiful building to visit bought a slate for my dad and friend sandie to help reroof the building. They also have a lovely cafe in there which serves a lovely cream tea.

It was not in my plans to visit it but I saw it from the distance and looked so big and good that I had to make a stop, it is beautiful

The tallest building in Truro by some distance, hedged in by the close pressed streets.
It’s a place of peace, to sit, meditate and refresh.

I never miss a chance to visit a building built with love and devotion. This cathedral has its own special character. My photos do not do it justice, so if you are in the area just pop in and savour the beauty of God's creation. Meditate on the impermanence of this world for a while.
Anyway, you'll be pleasantly surprised to know that entrance is free.
