Reviews of St Wilfrid's Church
F. N.
A gorgeous cobbled village with an old sandstone church. Warming and welcoming inside, the church is open daily. They have a new extension used as a cafe and meeting space recently opened which is tasteful, light and airy. Friendly folk. Easy access from M6. Worth a visit.

Beautiful church in a beautiful village

What an absolutely beautiful place! I'm not religious but came here for a wedding - the vicar is lovely and so is the village. When I die I wouldn't mind people telling lies about me here.

Absolutely beautiful. Been to a wedding and christening here and enjoyed both because of the people there and the venue itself. I consider myself somewhat religious and get a nice feeling being there.

There for a funeral. Beautiful church. Well organised with the Covid restrictions. Lovely service, wonderful vicar.

A beautiful church (over 800 years old) set in the historic village centre of Grappenhall complete with cobbled street. The bell tower has what is reputed to be the original Cheshire Cat carved in stone below the window. With a Saxon font and medieval glass windows, it has a lot of interesting features to explore. Visitors are made very welcome at services.

A lovely community-centred church. For events like Christmas Eve, the nearby school opens their playground for parking, otherwise the nearby pub had plenty of parking.

Beautiful, peaceful church.
A church that feels like part of the local community.
