Excellent suits and excellent service. I've always had a difficulty getting a suit to fit correctly but Derek had me sorted out and the suit looked excellent. It's a long term purchase but one I'm glad I made and felt that it was money well spent with the good advice on offer and a minor adjustment made. Would recommend to those wanting a quality product with decent service. Good overall value.

I was very impressed when visiting for the first time. I received expert advice on style and fitting, and managed to buy what I was looking for, namely a jacket and trousers suitable for a wedding. There is a vast choice of high quality men’s clothing at reasonable prices, including made to measure. Highly recommended.

Recently had a bespoke jacket and waistcoat made from some Harris Tweed and I really can't praise this place enough. Both fit perfectly and the difference in getting made to measure is clear. As well as fitting me precisely, the standard of the tailoring is exquisite. Down to the very small inner pocket detail - everything is perfect and has clearly been made by an expert tailor. Very reasonably priced and Derek is very helpful and knowledgable. Delighted with my items!

Got a made to measure suit from here and it is simply fabulous. Only item I have ever had made to measure and it is very comfortable and manages even to make me look smart. The service is great, the advice from the tailor spot on and definitely a case of you get what you pay for.

I’ve been going to Mr James for longer than I care to remember and I’ve never been disappointed. Jim and Derek always have what I’m looking for and, if anything needs altered, it’s done very quickly and efficiently. There’s sometimes a temptation to go to the bigger Slater-type stores but, in my experience, the quality isn’t anything like as good as neither is the service.

Was sent here by an acquaintance, I went on a whim, and it was the best suit based decision I have ever made. I walked out of the shop 15mins later with a beautiful, well-fitting suit. Just a ready to wear suit, but the knowledge and service provided was better than any, Tyrwhitt's, Lewin or M&S, as was the quality. Top Class.
