Sensational! My kilt outfit was very comfortable and very high quality which received many compliments, beautiful range of tartans to choose from. Kilt outfit fitted perfectly and price is unbelievable for everything that I got including accessories, great value for money!! Staff were fantastic, incredibly helpful and fast they knew my sizes immediately! Very friendly and easy to chat with and their attention to detail made me feel confident about my kilt outfit. Picked a kilt up for a wedding the following day. Upon opening the bag when we go it home, we discovered the waist coat was dirty. I contacted the store who arranged for a replacement to be delivered to us. It arrived to the hotel we were staying at within a few hours. Great service, can't fault how fast they reacted when there was an issue. Just a top tip, maybe check everything before leaving the store, we will be when we use them next time.

Very friendly staff and their service is excellent. I went there in person to hire a kilt for my graduation. The prices are also very decent. Excellent store i would recommend it. Just a tip. If you wanna hire a kilt do it at least 3 days before the day you want it so you avoid a £10 last minute booking fee.

Recently hired a kilt for my sons first holy communion, A1 kilt hire were great the lady helping me pick at first was brilliant giving me advice on what would suit him best, he looked amazing, staff really friendly and helpful only thing is I brought it back after 3pm never realised as I signed the contract months previously it was to be in for 2pm as they get sent to the dry cleaners after 2pm I might lose £10 off the deposit I would recommend telling people when picking up the kilts or having a sign on the door reminding people as who remembers everything from months before, but would still recommend them 100% was going to write a good review anyway before handing it back just a bit of positive feedback to consider x

Wouldn't go anywhere else for kilt hire, A1 kilthire are always professional, friendly but most importantly they are so accommodating. We had to rearrange 3 times due to covid and each time the staff were lovely to speak to. When I phoned to say that we were missing the brooch for the plaid they guy on the phone was happy to arrange for someone to bring it to us instead of us having to go to the shop to pick it up. Recently hired a kilt for my sons communion. First off the price in A1 kilt hire is the best around I called several places in and around Glasgow amd no where can beat the prices. We got our kilt and shoes socks accessories for £54 without a shirt. My son was measured also to ensure they could get him a kilt that fitted perfectly. Really happy we rented from here saved us some money as one of the stores I called quoted £160 for children's kilt hire. Thumbs up

Amazing service at the Glasgow store - hired jacobite kilt for my sons P7 leavers dance. I though since we were still in the midst of Covid I would measure myself and order over the phone (and subsequent emails) all dealings were first class. When I picked up the outfit and tried it on my son it was too big and his dance was the following day - I contacted the Glasgow store and they couldn't have been more helpful - gave me an appointment to bring my son in the next morning to be measured and had the smaller kilt and shirt waiting on us arriving, just waiting to double check the sizes (my measurements were 4'' :-( ). Would 100% recommend this company for kilt hire and will be using again in future.

I won’t lie, I was a little skeptical about hiring with A1 Kilt hire for my wedding but I am very happy I did. Not only was the price very good, the service was excellent also. The staff were very prompt in answering my emails. The kilts themselves were excellent quality compared to more established companies and I particularly liked the Hunting Gordon tartan which is much nicer than the Dress Gordon in my view! 2 years ago just before Covid i bought a kilt jacket from A1 size 46 chest then I lost 2 and a half stone due to illness not Covid related Today i called in to see if anything could be done the very kind gentleman there said no problem changed the jacket and waistcoat over for a smaller size as i hadn't worn the jacket and refused to take any money for the inconvenience Fantastic service Fantastic place thank you A1

After yet another successful hire from A1 Kilt Hire I thought it was only fair to leave a review. We have used them a number of times and we couldn't ask for a better deal and service. Their selection of tartans and jackets definitely met our expectations. The quality is fantastic and their kilts are authentic (made in Scotland) - I'm mentioning this in case you ask yourself a question how their prices can be so good...is there a catch ? Well, there is none! I would also mention that the amount of questions our groups had was verging on being ridiculous! And every single one was answered within a short period of time and with no hassle! We never felt like we are an inconvenience! We are very fussy and it was important to us to feel like someone cares. We were never disappointed. Just one tip, if you ever find yourself in a situation when they do not have your sizes on the day of your booking, do not be put off ! On the day of your pick up you receive exactly what you booked and it all looks great! P.S. not surprised they run out of sizes to try on as they do get really busy - which to me is a great sign of customers' trust. Anyway, we are going to the wedding next year and we have already booked our outfits. We cannot wait to see how we are all going to look in the tartan that the groom (or should I say "the bride") has chosen for us. Look at their website if you want to see exactly what they offer. I needed two kilts at short notice so had to take what was available but I was very pleased with the outfits and adjustments made to them to accommodate me. Very reasonable prices too. Just double check everything with the staff as a few wee mistakes were made - black socks instead of navy and time of return - sort out before you leave the shop.

I don't think I would ever go back to other kilt hire shops that charge an extorionate amount of money for the same quality outfits that A1 Kilt Hire offers. Used this company to hire full kilt outfit including shoes etc (but excluding shirt) for my son (age 8). This was the first time he had worn a kilt. The lady who took my son's measurements was fanastic - very knowledgeable, friendly and put my son at ease. The quality of the garments/shoes/sporran etc were excellent. Everything was waiting as ordered on the collection date (Fri after 2pm) and does not need to be returned till the Mon (before 2pm). Giving us an extra day to visit elderly relatives who will enjoy seeing my son dressed up in his kilt etc. I would not hesitate to use this company again. Next time, would even consider kitting out my husband and both sons since such good value and not too expensive for all three. Other companies charge a lot more for example double or more but I doubt the end product is any better as I do believe you could fault that given to my son. Speaking to other people, maybe other companies allow more time to try on complete outfits during the selection/collection process but at the end of the day the measurements taken were accurate and no problems with the final product so I have no complaints.
