I went to Go Outdoors Lincoln yesterday to look at some new walking boots. The gentleman in the boots/ shoe area was very knowledgeable on the different boots and which ones would fit best. He recommended a couple of options that would suit and also brought out a few other ones that I mentioned I had been looking at. When I asked about waterproofing, as I had only ever had leather boots and these were fabric ones, he went through how to properly maintain them. Great customer service and will definitely be visiting again soon!

Staff incompetence leads to customer embarrassment. Great store with much choice. But sadly. Payed for goods and alarm went off on way out of store. Staff member came out store and stopped us and demanded to look through our bangs some of which had nothing to do with this store. whilst other customers where going in and out of store I over heard one guy say to his wife they been shop lifting. Which you can imagine was very embarrassing. It turns out your staff did not remove the security tag from one item. Before we had gone another customer had the same problem. So I'm guessing this is an on going staff incompetence....

Lots to see and buy in-store at reasonable prices covering lots of hobbies. Gents toilet was disgusting (again x2). Dirty walls, doors and floor tiles🤢🤢 feels totally unsanitary and certainly discourages folk to use facilities☹️☹️

Much better than store in Hull, actually have tents erected so can see different layouts of tents, helpful staff, good selection of products for camping which is what I use store for, use blue light discount card here as not have their own discount card

My second visit to GO Outdoors in Lincoln and leaving the place again wirh full shopping bags. In 2 weeks I am going to Scotland to walk up Ben Nevis and to hike in Cairngorms. I decided to do shopping here and of course I was right.Good prices, professional staff, Quite well stocked.

The best outdoor shop in Lincoln, and at the moment they promise to beat any Internet price for the same product by 10%. Lots to buy for many sports, the only downside is the size of the shop limits the overall choice. I have been to bigger Go Outdoors with better choice.

I actually enjoy this shop for the most part and recommend purchasing the reward card for £5.00 per year. It may sound like a waste of a fiver but if you're going to spend money here, then its well worth it - just in 2 visits I've saved over £150.00 off marked prices. They've got everything from high end outdoor clothing to value brand portable camping loos. I would love to give a rating of 5☆ but the lack of staff on the shop floor let's them down. As does finding a member of staff with a modicum of product knowledge 🤔

As per usual a good range of products at competitive prices. Currently closed bec6of the 2nd lockdown . Well spaced out and good Covid measures. Edited 02/03/22. The shop is still good value in the main, no longer closed and the womens clothing is now relegated to the back of the store, which doesn't work but I've always had issues with the somewhat chaotic layout of Go Outdoors in general. Prices can be missing on stands and the checking out needs to be slicker...if people are waiting get staff on the tills

Friendly helpful staff, store is currently up to date with social distancing so shopping and safety is at it's best. Fishing section is going through some changes, I'm looking forward to seeing it completed. Pretty much a one stop shop for everything out doors. The only reason 4 stars was given rather than 5 is because fishing department is not yet finished. Still I would recommend to anybody.

Well, the staff are something of a mixed bag: some are incredibly helpful whilst others seem to take the slightest offence when a complaint is made. Oh dear, sensitive souls. Pity however because overall the store has a great deal to offer and the majority of staff are well-informed and knowledgeable. I've been shopping here on-and-off for several years and picked up some useful additions to my outdoor kit. Hopefully, they will keep my custom but some staff just need to remember that the customer is sometimes (not always) right......

Often some good deals to be had but it always pays to shop around as not everything is as cheap as they'd like you to think. A great selection of goods though and they usually have plenty of tents set up for you to look around. Would be better if you didn't have to pay £5 for their discount card. The staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

All safety measures in place but still feels like a shopping experience pre lockdown . Obviously you cannot try clothes on but the return policy is 60 days so plenty of time in which to do so. I returned items and no quibbles.Sales assistants were all polite friendly and engaged in conversation. Some items not priced and you do need to check hangers as a few clothes sizes didnt match hangers, but that was sale racks and appreciate that that can happen. Fully stocked, great range and exceptional prices.

Had to order some items and collect from store. They had to order in to click and collect and so had to wait for a few days. ATM the store has not really got much at all in accessories and Cadac etc so very disappointed as been in a few times and stock level is really bad. What is going on with stock these days?

Great store made better by the presence of Aaron who is a credit to the store. He guided us through the various pitfalls and advised us on every item we bought with often personal experience of the product in question. I would recommend this store and in particular Aaron for anyone wanting to embark on a camping experience. We are first timers with children and there is a lot of info and products to consider and compare and it is hugely beneficial to have someone clearly so passionate about camping to guide you. In the end we spent £1200 and our neighbours also went to the store based on our experience and spent about the same. Thanks Aaron.

Phoned Lincoln store regarding camping chair that I wanted delivering - very helpful staff. Visited the store as I had to purchase the discount card to get the chair at the reduced price. Chairs were all available to try which I did. Proceeded to till to purchase - young lady who was new was shown how to do the transaction as I required chair to be delivered to another address. She did the transaction but told me chair would not be delivered next day as stated on web site which was perfectly acceptable. On checking receipt at home realised I had not been charged for delivery - rang the store and a very nice man advised that because I had purchased in store delivery was free! The next day the recipient told me the chair I had arrived !! A very positive visit to Go Outdoors.Thank you Lincoln store !

Great shop with helpful staff. Sell a good range of products at different price points to suit different customer requirements. Most higher end products can be beaten on price with a quick Google search but then go outdoors offer price match + 10% of the difference so some good deals to be had. I would like them to stock a broader range of higher quality backpacking tents but that's just me, and I don't get the discount card system other than it obviously serves as a marketing tool. The discount card prices are about the going price for the products elsewhere and the non discount card price just makes them way more expensive than just about everywhere else that sells the product so bit nonsensical really.

We went looking for beds to sleep a ton of Christmas guests and weren’t disappointed, the camp beds are comfortable enough that everyone got a good night sleep but not comfortable enough to encourage anyone to stay too long and they fold small enough to store for dozens of other occasions (including actual camping) :D good choice but it wasn’t easy to find what we needed, wrongly assumed camp beds would be near the erected tents or at least all the different types would be in the same location
