Reviews of East End Thrift Store

Amazing staff, great selection of clothes. Lee was particularly helpful. Great atmosphere - will definitely be back.

3 sweatshirts for £20. This is a very honest thrift store without all the hype and overpriced items of up and coming ones. Got an items reduced as well due to minor flaws Large selection of items and very good prices and the lady working in the counter was so sweet. Sending her all the love!

Great hidden thrift store on a back alley. More a of thrift store than a designer second hand store, still great. Cheaper than the ones on Brick Lane. I got three nice long sleeved shirts for £20.
B. A.
The store is split into three distinct areas, the lower quality "by the bag" section where pieces easily average out to £1-2 per item, the more average thrift shop area that has good quality items for about £5-15 per item, then the high quality designer vintage section with items that were £20+
The pricing seems pretty consistent with thrift stores in East London and online second hand retailers.
I found the staff to be very polite and helpful, and while it's super frustrating that Google says they open at 11am, their Instagram does say that they do not open until midday. Hopefully they fix the error on Google soon.
This store also only takes cash, but there is a cash point 2minutes away.
All in all I don't think it's the best thrift store I've ever been to, but it's by no means the worst.

Good Place If You Are Looking For A Bargain!!!I Come Here Only If I Need To Buy Gift For Someone.Sometimes You Can Find Very Nice Things For Cheep Price.

Been coming here for a while now and always find something good. Staffs always up for a chat as well which is always nice

Great selection & great prices 👌🏽

It's hit-and-miss. It's kind of dusty. It can take a while to find something decent. But once you do, you get what you pay for. Perfect for students. The playlist bangs. The coats are warm. The staff are friendly.
In other words, the epitome of "So Bad It's Good"!

This was okay, it was not busy when I arrived. You have to have comfortable footwear to stand and literally search through every rail of clothing. It's better to go various times, this is because some days you'll find some really interesting pieces, others not so interesting. It's trial and error, you never know what you'll get. My advice take several trips over a few weeks; It's amazing what you'll be able to find. £10.00 will get you a medium bag you can fill up with as much as you like, the same goes for a larger bag £20.00.

The £5 bag concept is an amazing bargain but boy do you have to work for it. There are these huge wire baskets with clothes and you have to dig deep to find good stuff. They also have a changing room.
Do be warned that sometimes it's smells and you leave feeling kinda dirty after rummaging through all those clothes so take some hand sanitizer.

This store is amazing value. All you can get into a £10 bag! As Timeout said 'how did we ever live without the East End Thrift Store'. Staff really helpful. This is my third visit and the store's new face lift looks really cool!
M. S.
Like any thrift store, it's a mixed bag. I keep going back because their coat selection is great & I always want at least one massive plaid shirt. They have £10 bags which I recommend because if you fill one to the brim (they're pretty flexible) you can fill a second one to the brim for £10 and leave with a whole new wardrobe.
This isn't a place for designer finds, more for weird & unique pieces or regular thrift finds you can alter

I came to the pound event today and it was okay there could be more men's clothing maybe? It was mainly female clothing so it would be nice to see more male clothing but generally it was alright. The priced bit however did have some nice things though! The staff are also really nice 😊

East End Thrift Store is basically just a big unheated warehouse, with bales of clothes everywhere. Obviously some are broadly sorted, priced and hung on rails, but there isn't much in the way of categorisation, and no attempt to display stuff. This is quite different from the vintage 'curated' clothes shops so popular now.
But the advantage of this is that everything is well cheap, and there is some great stuff if you don't mind rummaging through. Apparently they also have special days where you can just go and load up bin bags for a tenner. Staff were very friendly too.

Cool clothing store! Has all your necessities by offering second-hand clothing which look as funky and colourful as possible. What really makes this place unique is that you pay around £10 for a large bag and stuff it with as much clothes as possible! 😱😃 Great place to pop into.

Unique shopping experience and love the 'fill a bag for £10 deal'! Can be a little difficult to find things, but with a little imagination and patience its possible. Agree the shop could do a little more with sorting, organising and displaying. But I'm happy for it to stay how it is as I've never found a place quite like this!

Been twice - didn't find anything the first time but the second time was a great haul. Everything is £1 in there - bear in mind YOU HAVE TO ROOT THROUGH, so it's best if you are in the right kind of mindframe. You really can find some bargains in here. Also next door, their more 'designer' side has some steals too. lots of brands and good quality. Worth the journey.

Meh just meh. That's my general feel of the place. This is a no frills vintage shop people. I suppose it's great for reliable fashion pieces like a big fur coat, a jacket or something plaid. You could fit several shirts into the small £10 bag but not the coats (they'd fit in the £20 ). My God they have so much plaid 😓😓. Not a great place to look for 'OMG pieces' things like typical vintage shops but you're essentially getting what you're paying for. Very no frills peeps!

Intrigued and was worth the visit. Appreciate the help Joe when not sure on what choice to make and I’m very pleased with my purchases. I came out of my way to come here and I’m not disappointed
N. H.
The store is great. I found lots of beautiful vintage clothes, I’ve recommended it to many others and they’ve all loved it too. I’m confused by the complaints about it being messy because that’s what gives it its charm and that’s the whole point
J. S.
Some good items to be had in the small section where they keep the more expensive pieces. The main room is really very mixed ranging from well worn to just junk. Fun for teens and young adults. £10 bag holds quite a lot so very cheap.
R. W.
I feel like in the past clothes were better quality than now, which is why I shop at thrift stores often. East End Thrift Store is my favourite one so far because I’ve been able to find some pretty good deals and clothing that I can match with the other clothes I already have. Prices are ok for me.
B. O. M.
Very vintage my grandad definitely wore some bits in here!
N. A.
If retro is your thing then I'd definitely recommend here. It's full of this stuff! I usually dress a little simpler than the more lary styles stocked here, but I'd recommend it, there's a good chance you can find something you'd like and there's nothing like going to a new place right?
And it's pretty cheap too, ideal for the students located just around the corner. Or anyone else who fancies a bargain ;)
A. B.
Some really good finds from this place, though you have to be patient. It was pretty crowded and the place is dusty, but their £1 sale and £10/£20 fill a bag are deals not to miss out on!
A. P.
Cool clothes at a great price (although it can be a bit of a dig to find good stuff sometimes) the clothes you do get are very original. Well worth a visit.
C. S.
They have some gorgeous clothing there. I was just passing by and decided to go in. I don’t mind shopping from thrift stores at all. There’s a lot to look at and to choose from. And it’s not so crowded as the other more popular stores of that type. Check it out.
E. E.
I was lucky enough to be one of the first 5 people there, so i got a bag full of clothes for free! The clothes are worn and some have stains but there are some great gems in there.
R. P.
The really nice clothes are expensive and the clothes aren’t that good quality however the people working there daily are lovely and the music is nice.
J. P.
This store is a real good place to go for cheap vintage clothing, they have a variety of clothing and accessories. Only downfall is that it is not big enough, if it was bigger it would be an amazing place to shop.
S. S.
I've found some gems in this place, however there isn't much arrangement by style or something. Personally, I don't mind that much because when you find something designers in the big pile, you feel rather more satisfed.
h.
Was really excited to shop there but when we got there it was closed with no sign or anything. We checked on google before we went and it said it was open. Kinda disappointing
D. T.
It's okay for the first time but there aren't really a lot of good clothes.
C. G. J.
I visited this place for one of their £1 sales and managed to get some nice bargains amongst the crowds and piles of clothes.
K. W.
If you like loads of denim and army style clothes, its good, but its not great if you want more modern clothes.
S. S.
Excellent clothes on excellent prices and extremely polite working staff. I recommend East End Thrift Store to everyone.
T. R.
one of the few shops in east london where you can get a decent price on second hand clothes. further awy than the brick lane shops but worth the walk
L. P.
I'm a vintage addict. Love this place. Fabulous finds, and the quality of the craftsmanship of vintage can't be beat.
N. H.
Was okay some dirty clothes on display which was a turn off. But got a few cute items
F. B.
Nice wide variety of vintage clothes, a lot smaller than expected
J. R.
Great selection & great prices 👌🏽

A true thrift shop! It is far away from the city centre, but totally worth it.
V. B.

Great service but could be nicer/ mood hygienic
D. C.
Went for a one pound sale, I was not dissappointed!
B. D.
Cheap thrift store. Alley leading up to it looks slightly sketchy but it's about 100 metres up and on the right.
S. T.
£10 to fill a bag of vintage clothing ! Can't get better than that !
I. L.
It takes a while to find anything worth buying
