The place looked very attractive and the coffee machine looked promising. We entered the restaurant. Ordered a coffee and a tea. Both were inedible for us. The coffee had something of instant coffee, the tea had a musty aftertaste. The service staff working on the day of our visit was not really friendly.

Quick bite to eat at lunch time, had an egg and cress sandwich on brown bread and a caramel latte both were very nice thou latte could have been a bit hotter. We sat inside as all the tables were busy outside, the chairs were not very comfortable the sides seem to dig in to your bottom so not made for generous size bottoms, but apart from that was very nice staff were friendly.

Centre of town attraction, serving the truly wonderful Woodenhill Coffee (ground and roasted locally) in a spacious, airy, building with generous outside seating (some sheltered). Tasty cakes and moderate selection of sandwiches and panini. Staff mostly young and local, and well organised. Never disappoints.

Nice environment. Staff pleasant.love that dogs can go in. Disappointed at the Americano coffee. No richness to it and pretty bland coffee. My kids told me the latte was good though. Toasties are pretty much like other places. Cakes looked good but I did not try. I would go again but choose a tea instead of the Americano 👌

Lovely little gem, in the market square of Ampthill. Really nice atmosphere inside (and downstairs seating area looked cosy, although I didn't go down there on this occasion). Good range of quality tea, coffee, etc, and some yummy sweet and savoury treats. Great service from friendly, efficient staff. Nice to be able to sit outside on a sunny afternoon too - well worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!

Had never been to Ampthill before. Was walking around and randomly popped in for a bite to eat. Wow I was quite surprised.. The hot pear tea I had was very delicious and perfect for a winter / early spring day. We also had a chocolate chip shortcake which was probably the best I’ve ever tasted in my life! The gluten free walnut brownie was equally one of the most delicious I’ve ever had! I wish there was a Surfin cafe in London. Would come every weekend!

Lovely cafe. Good choice of panninis, cakes and drinks. However, no one to greet at the door and instruct Re Covid rules, no track and trace operating, and in the hour I was there no-one wiped down any tables. For the whole hour I was there, 5 to 6 staff were constantly standing in the small space behind the counter, therefore standing literally shoulder to shoulder, and leaning in to each other to talk, (almost cheek-to-cheek). In the last period since eateries have reopened, this is the only place I've visited so lax re the government regs. Most have been very much on the ball. So, a lovely place, but avoid if you have any Covid concerns.

We visit Surfin Cafe frequently for a lovely coffee, milkshake or smoothie. Staff are very welcoming and it's generally a peaceful place to meet and relax. Today we found out that well behaved dogs were allowed in and that was great to have a Panini, cake and drink in the middle of family walk.

First time we have used Surfin Cafe in Ampthill, just for a coffee but it was very good. The cafe was set up in a very Covid safe manner cleaning between customers, o e way systems and Toilets were very clean.

Fantastic addition to the town center despite competition from other cafes only a stones throw away. You will not find a nicer coffee in Ampthill. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and great decor makes this a must visit.

I look forward to starting my day with my morning cuppa !I It's lovely to see people sitting outside in the Square and it brings a real buzz to the town centre. All the team are lovely and smiley and all the cakes are tasty-I can recommend them all !!! Surfin café adhere to covid guidelines and I do miss Matts huge smile under that mask !!

I was disappointed to see no Vegan options for lunch. Apparently the Vegan cake had sold out, so the demand must be there for a roll or a sandwich. Hopefully this will be addressed and I can try again. The White Hart opposite has many Vegan options.
