Wow! Really, really awesome breakfast / brunch in Belfast. We got here on a Sunday right before a massive line formed out the door and around the street, so we felt lucky we got a table! The food is delicious, the coffee is epic and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and friendlier! The black pudding was sensational!!
J. C.
Delicious coffee and food! Definitely a must visit!
I enjoyed the milk bun sandwich with the black pudding. Coffee was fantastic and the food had wonderful flavor and texture. Can’t wait to visit again and try other things!
Z.
My favourite spot in Belfast for takeaway coffee or sit in for brunch. Fantastic in-house coffee and baristas that know their stuff. £4 for poached eggs on toast and add extras for £2 each. The best staff who know all their regulars and are so friendly, don't visit Belfast without stopping by!
W. F.
Great coffee, great eggs and greens forbreakfast, big bright space. 👍👍
B. A.
Fantastic coffee, friendly staff, great location and an excellent brunch. Highly recommended.
W. G.
The coffee was really nice, I liked the industrial vibe and the view but it was quite crowded and the stuff had to tell people where they could or couldn't sit
N. F.
Delicious coffee and excellent service. It's easy to see why the place is so popular and busy.
E. L.
Great coffee and breakfast. Visited twice while we were in Belfast. The staff are lovely also. Worth a visit!
J. M.
This has to be the best place in Belfast for anything coffee! Great spot for catching up with friends or getting stuck into a good book! Overall friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, cannot fault this place at all!
C. C.
These guys are consistent in friendliness, quality of coffee and the amazing menus and portions.
R. J.
Great location and friendly staff. House coffee is pretty bitter and atmosphere generally very busy due to location next to university. Sharper knifes would be great for the breakfasts.
A. G.
They serve one of the best coffees in belfast city. Their pecan pies are the best! Their breakfast is reasonably priced Quick service but the place gets busy very quickly.
F. K.
Nice place open nice and early great breakfast choices scrambled eggs with sourdough toast was lovely
M. J.
Large queues speak to the popularity. Coffees & chai lattes are good & the range of sweet treats are great too. Looking forward to returning to try the savoury items.
S. S. B.
Beautiful place to head in Belfast.. Top service and food. Worth a visit.
A. L.
Staff were very friendly and polite. The premises were very clean. Had the Christmas latte and it tasted very good! Eggs Benedict was cooked amazingly well. Enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back next time I visit Belfast.
E. C.
Probably the best coffee in Belfast. Excellent service - friendly and quick. Good quality and fresh coffee served. The salad bowl was decent, would probably try other dishes.
S. R.
This is a tough one, the service was good, and prompt, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was nice, and the coffee was expertly prepared. Should have been a 5 star experience, except that their choice of coffee beans was horrible, sort of a bitter berry flavored nightmare of flavor. Maybe that was just the coffee of the day, so if I had the opportunity, I would certainly give them another try, but the beans on Aug 28 weren't very good.
C.
Lovely staff. Well set out for current orders. Brownie was **amazing**. Hot chocolate was gorgeous, not overly sweet but a lovely dark chocolate taste to it. Highly recommend.

Established Coffee is just around the corner to one of the mostbreathtaking architectural spot in town, St Anne’s Cathedral, which makes it easy to locate.
Its floor-to-celling windows and concrete flooring form a minimalism, spacious and bright atmosphere. To me, the central big wooden tables play a leading role where coffering, eating, chatting and working all happen.
Baristas’ laid-back and laptop-welcoming approach is also a big point while I see people come to focus to get their jobs down with caffeine feeling support from the brewer bar.
I tried their special coffee and cake offer. The caramel lavender lemon pie is spectacular, great work from their chefs-in-resident. The pour-over coffee is really flavourful, just a little too light to wash down the amazing dessert. I should have ordered espresso based options I suppose.
In a word it’s definitely a coffee gem worth to pay a special visit when coming to Belfast.
M. H.
No trip to Belfast would be complete for me without a visit to Established. My favourite place for brunch and coffee. Glad to be back today.
A. S.
I like the café, the atmosphere and the staff are usually friendly. However, £7.50 for French toast (half a slice of bread and some figs) was just far too expensive for me and wasn't enough for breakfast.
M. A.
The yougart and museli were so nice while the omelete was not very interesting. We didn't like the cappuccino too as it was burnt. The cafe itself is nicely decorated and the staffs are friendly. The orange juice was not freshly squeezed and so I was expecting to get more in quantity!! :-)
O. N.
We enjoyed our time here. We are in the process of learning the subtleties of coffee. We have attended cuppings back in Cork. Our friends highly recommended visiting Established Coffee. I spent a bit of time with the barista. He educated me about what coffees they had and geisha coffee. I learned that geisha coffee is a bit rare. Geisha coffee comes from specific coffee farms, certain altitude, and a single origin. The service was good. The brownie we ate definitely met our hungry stomaches with enthusiasm. The modern minanmalistic layout was also lovely. The big windows invited the sun to come in and play.
I. M.
Brilliant wee coffee shop. Great breakfast, porridge is unreal but you to try the specialist buns. Just ask, you can't miss them.
S.
Great coffee and food. Usually very busy
N. P.
Great coffee, cakes and everything. Brunch is particularly good. Great location for working while you eat too
J. S.
Reasonably priced for what it is. Liked the huevos rancheros (pictured), but felt like it was missing something. Halloumi or avocado would have been better than the ricotta (?) that was served with this. It feels slightly too sauce heavy. Service was great though!
J. S.
Came here again after my first visit over 3 years ago and it’s still great! 10/10 flat white and choc chip banana bread. Lovely service too!
T. M.
⭐️ Love the bougie, Mac laptop, Brooklyn vibe
☕️ Excellent coffee. For Americans looking for a cup of drip (“filter”) coffee, this is the spot
👨💻 Plenty of seating and surface area if you’re looking to plop down for a bit
☀️Loads of windows on this corner location
C. H.
Amazing, excellent, incredible are the only words o can use to describe this place. Coffee is fantastic and gives you the perfect Instagram opportunities. The food all looks so good, but I definitely recommend the poached eggs with toast. You can add on any fillings you want and it's a great price and so so good. Chill, hip vibe too.
N. J.
Some of the best coffee in Belfast, great food and bakes too.
A. N.
Amazing coffee and food. Very trendy cafe and coffee shop which sells everything you'd expect it to. Open from 7am even on a bank holiday. Good mix of peoples - groups, couples and laptop warriors.
R. P.
Excellent coffee and food!
Definitely I wanna come back, the people working here are very kind 🤗
A. A.
Hmmm three stars is me keeping an open mind and being very generous as they might've just had a one off bad day when I visited.
But what on earth was up with the eggs?? Never had anything that bad before. Beans should be on dessert menu.
Coffee...wth!! But at least I can taste they've used good beans, just not the right temperature or texture.
Looking forward to come back and change this review to 5*
With all that said, it is a lovely place with a nice atmosphere!
P. B.
Nice little cafe with good service and a nice cup of coffee. Very popular and usually very busy. Cathedral Quarter is a lively spot popular with tourists, students and locals
Busy spot also serves a good healthy food selection.
M. S.
Best proper coffee in Belfast. Other highlights include the poached egg and sourdough toast breakfast, anything sweet, and the pies on Sundays.
M. M.
GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT service! Food is excellent, prepared to everyone’s satisfaction. Atmosphere is great due to the seating arrangement and the space. The staff is lovely with a great attitude for people! Love this place and I tend to go everyday!
S. B.
First visit here and tbh I thought it was nice but not amazing. Latte was well made but I've tasted nicer. The shortbread was amazing though...melt in the mouth loveliness. Perhaps it's just a case of personal preference re coffee. Staff friendly and place buzzing.
L. B.
Amazing coffee and cake with super friendly staff. One lovely lady more than happy to share recommendations of other coffee shops in Belfast. Nice to see local businesses supporting each other.
T. 3.
Great coffee and food. Very hard working staff and hope the customers appreciate!
P. G.
Coffee fanatic here - this is one of my favourite spots for coffee, however the food here is really expensive and puts me off slightly. But overall a nice experience
V. J.
Great coffee and hot chocolate. Love that they the option of oat milk. Their coffee is from one of the best Irish coffee roasters 3fe. Very chilled atmosphere.
S. G.
Trendy coffee and brunch spot with a young crowd both there for food and some for a place to work.
I enjoyed the simple menu however the seating arrangement annoyed a lot of people (lots of people taking up many seats selfishly).
Should have a system like single people only on the shared table.
M. O.
In my opinion a bit overrated place.
Good coffee and food with variety of choice but small portions and very pretentious hipster atmosphere, if you like cozy places as me better choose something different 😊
L. H.
Excellent coffee and even better service from the welcoming staff.
R. D.
It had been a long 8 years of waiting to visit... So good to see how well Est is doing and how well it presents coffee .
b. l.
Great breakfast. The black pudding was the best we've ever had
A. H.
Really good brunch! We had one of the specials, which was French toast with stuffed peach, cream cheese and bacon. It was £7 plus £1.50 to add the bacon. It was more inventive than the French Toast you might get at other brunch spots, so that made it worth spending £8.50. Their coffee is probably the best in Belfast as well.
G. M.
Amazing. Recommend Americano and a wee caramellita to go with it. Their blends are very flavoursome...unique. Worth a visit..actually make the effort if your in the big smoke. Be surprised if u don't walk.l out with a fresh bag of beans...which they'll grind for u.
M. A.
Nice Coffee Shop!
S. T.
So, established coffee shop is not my particular blend of coffee but still good quality and worth checking out. The building and staff were lovely but most impressive was the selection of pastries and treats.
The lemon meringue cake thing was amazing and while we didn’t manage to snag one I’ve heard the key lime pie is not to be missed!
Overall lovely lil coffee shop that you should check out if you’re around.
C. H.
Such a nice place in Belfast for morning coffee. The staff are so friendly and kind - as a side note the Young Buck toastie is the stuff that dreams are made of.
J. P.
Coffee here is really good - their filter was awesome. The food is probably not worth the price but if you can afford it go for it.
m. m.
I truly like the service and the restaurant was very clean the staff was very friendly
However they need to work on their porridge it was too sticky too dry, tok thick
A. B.
Fantastic service..food was delicious and without a doubt the best coffee in town!!Highly recommend.
J. K.
Great little coffee shop. Amazing coffee and amazing food at a decent price. If you’re in the area definitely check this place out!
V. P.
Actually good coffee and not just a pretty face. Also the eggs where delicious. And not too expensive either.
P. C.
Cool little place that we popped in to see this afternoon. Breakfast till 3pm was great. My poached egg was a bit overdone but overall pretty good. Staff were very friendly
P. D.
Amazing spot! beautiful + super nice peeps. Delish flat white + latte - food 🐽
C. Ó. M.
Great coffee at a decent price with a free friendly chat every time.
V. L.
It was an amazing breakfast, had to wait 10 minutes but it was delicious.
V. L.
The sausages great, the eggs great, the bacon great, loved the place, it's worth the wait, you don't regret it
S. L.
Very nice place that opens early in the morning. Lovely staff.
A. D.

Always assured a great coffee from Established and visit each time I'm in Belfast
Update June22, another excellent specialty coffee and they were happy to allow my 2 small doggies inside too
e. p.
Some times it might be a little crowded, the sandwiches might be sold out or the weather might just be soggy wet but one thing that you can bet on every time you enter this cafe is: brilliant coffee! Two thumbs up! Best of Belfast.
K. Y.
Love the variety of the coffee and desserts ! Very lovely and cute staff, especially Maria who made the customers feel welcomed. The conversation with her brightened my day.
G. N.
Lovely coffee, always friendly faces and great eats

I - The place
A hip and trendy coffee with excellent breakfast options at the heart of Belfast, with a very nice staff and good vibe.
II - The Food and mood
First of all, I must say out of 14 days in Belfast we probably spent 10 mornings at Established, as we loved it so much the very first time we came.
Big without being too loud, the space offered by established is very pleasant while being mindful of the health measures. The furniture is nice and comfy wherever you sit. The staff, and I believe the owner, were always lovely and noticed our regular visits with friendly welcome. You quickly feel at ease and at home.
The breakfast options are fantastic. I got addicted to their breakfast tacos which are, objectively, a weird combination of Mexican Food x Irish Fry, but work SO well. Their buns are also very good, along with their toasties. Another highlight was their revamped Kouign Amann which is more of a crossover between a Kouign Amann and donut / croustillon than a proper Kouign Amann, but as exciting and good. I think we tried about everything they had to offer and all was from very good to excellent. The coffee, trusting my partner, was good and my hot choc always very nice too.
They also sell an interesting array of coffee related goods, with nice branded glasses and mugs.
III - Anything special?
The tacos and the Kouign Amann, definitely unique and most excellent.
IV - Verdict
I'm not sure we will ever find a place we will go to as regularly if / when we come back to Belfast. A lovely daily experience.
A.
Tried a vegan sandwich which was quite nice and interesting. Kind of like General merchants, I think they're the same chain of coffee shops which makes sense?
v. r.
This place is super busy and we had a bit of a long wait for food but it was so worth it and the staff were really friendly and professional.
A. S.
The coffee here was amazing and my duck confit hash was beautiful. And the staff were uber friendly. Everyone needs to come here!
M. M.
Very nice place to get good breakfast, coffee or a tea. Stuff was super friendly and food was very tasty! Definitely go!
T. S.
Asked for large latte but still small. Very hipster coffee shop. Toilet had alarm beeping constantly. Coffee tasted ok.
M. S.
I love this place. Amazing coffee, and the food is great too. Staff are efficient and super friendly. Definitely worth a visit!
A. W.
Very good coffee, delicious cake and great people! I am sure that I will return when I will arrive to Belfast next time.
J. B.
This place would deserve 5 stars just for the food or the coffee on their own. Everything we had here was excellent 3 days in a row and all of the friendly staff know their stuff when it comes to the coffee.
S. M.
Good coffee and other drinks, service with a smile and the staff have a conversation with you while you wait for your takeaway drinks 😀
P. S.
Best coffee I have had in Belfast all week!!
Super tasty food as well. Bonus!!
d. g.
Great coffee, lovely space, very Scandinavian styled coffee house. The breakfast muffins and milk buns were excellent. Service was very good and quick.
D. A.
One of the best coffee spots in the entire city, food is good and not too long a wait, staff always pleasant, chatty and asking about your day, big variety of coffee beans for home
K. M.
Great selection of coffee and very knowledgeable staff.
C. S.
Great coffee... (really good especially if you're a coffee guru) and the staff are top rate as well. Recommended immensely.
M. S.
Absolutely great place, coffee, atmosphere definitely 5 stars
E. S.
Had one the nicest breakfasts I have ever had here. Loved the Milk Bun and Pancakes. Coffee was also very good. Lovely staff and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back next time I am in Belfast!
z.
The best coffee at Belfast. Must go place. Good selection of pastries and snacks.
A. L.
Best coffee and cinnamon swirl. I come here every time I’m in Belfast, keep the swirls thick and square
P. Ł.
Honestly the one and only!
All high standard coffee, hot chocolate, tea.
Just haven't tried food yet🙈
A. B.
You definitely have to check this place out for coffee. Really friendly staff in there and they’re baked goods are to die for!
P. M.
Food and coffee was great but, what let's it down is its dreary, soulless interior.
R. D.
Coffee is excellent. Good selection of types and styles of your choice. Good quality tray bakes and sweet treats and the price is reasonable. Handy to call in for a break from shopping in the city or after lunch/dinner for an after dinner coffee and dessert.
In my opinion the decor and atmosphere is lacking, but that's something minor compared to how well everything else is done.
R. B.
Awesome coffee, banana bread a winner and solid brunch. Nice work guys and gals
F.
Best cup of coffee I've had in Belfast
R. T.
Good location in the cathedral quarter. Chilled atmosphere. Staff friendly coffee very good.
G. G.
Interesting experience, excellent coffee. Would recommend.
B. P.
Very posh area cafe place imo, but very friendly staff and chill environment, had breakfast there and the coffee was very good !
H. J.
Lovely and popular spot, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The small takeaway outside is also amazing, so quaint!
Only problem was that on our second visit the oat milk was steamed burning hot, it looses its texture when this happens and it also burned the espresso a little bit. Aside from this minor issue the space contained beautiful aesthetics and would strongly recommend.
A. A.
These guys know what they're doing and care about it. Espresso on point, flat white very nice ( but needed an extra shot).
M. D.
Seriously excellent coffee always, service is brilliant and their gigantic cinnamon rolls are to die for 👍 so good I often get 2 !
B. L.
Good coffee and spacious space. Staff were largely friendly but also seemed to be a bit too preoccupied with the drinks and food to properly serve everyone. Great selection of coffee from Irish roasters and a very steady extraction of coffee from batch brew, but would really appreciate if there is a drip option given that they also highly advertise the hand drip equipment in store. Overall a satisfactory experience :)
D. T.
Original and best coffee in Belfast. Decor is industrial and clean. Always a brilliant experience.
J. F.
Amazing coffee shop round from st annes square, now roasting their own single origin beans aswell as some tasty ice coffees and espressos.
Stock up on at home brew kits here aswell as some amazing dishes from the kitchen, dont miss out on the cinnamon swirls
J. S.
Went there twice while in Belfast. The lemon and almond loaf cake is the best I've ever had! Service was amazing, great coffee and delicious and well priced breakfast. Loved the interior as well. Please go!
F. T.
Great coffee in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. They also do fantastic food. Service is always friendly and staff are very enthusiastic. It’s the perfect place for a casual meet up or for simply people watching.
S.
❤❤❤ great food and coffee. Wonderful baristas, free Wi-Fi and great work space. Add oat milk latte = very happy.
M. B.
I visit Established every single time I'm in Belfast, (sometimes twice in one day) It's been a week since I had this pie and I'm still dreaming of it.
M. J.
Excellent coffee and good food (especially the huevos rancheros) in a very modern (and hip) setting
D. D.
Very tasty coffee served at this cafe. Well-balanced food menu to satisfy all tastes. Had one of the seasonal plates and it was gorgeous. It's a very hip place. Will go back the next time I'm in Belfast.
J. M.
Poached eggs cooked to my perfection, friendly staff, would recommend and will be back.
R. J.
Great coffee don’t whatever way you like from a country of origin of your choice.
Very tasty plates, sweet and savoury.
Coffee beans to-go along with all the paraphernalia required to make it.
Also coffee courses. Been on one and full of tips and stimulating info
R. P.
Excellent Mochas! Staff took the time to explain the pairing of coffee and cocoa beans and made up a nice chocolate orange mocha! Noticed a wide range of mochas including, dark chocolate, mint, white chocolate & raspberry. Looking forward to trying them all.
Other more pretentious cafés try to tell you that coffee and chocolate don't mix, not these guys! You tell them what you want, not the reverse.
V. C.
Big, spacious coffee shop with plenty of room to move around (makes a big change from some of the broom cupboards I have been in). Food was excellent and the flat white was not over bitter nor too watery. Staff here were really friendly which makes a huge change from London. Prices I would say on the whole were reasonable but then again I am comparing to London places so locals may disagree.
A. P.
They have some excellent sourcing on their coffee that's available on pour over. I had an incredible beam from El Salvador
G. K.
Best espresso in Belfast. Great staff. Super knowledgeable and always really friendly. The menu for food and coffee change regularly. It's a bit hipster but that's the closest I could come to a criticism!
They also sell just about every coffee accessory you need.
A. R.
I'm not sure if they're dog friendly during normal times, but I was allowed in with my dog to order as they are currently takeout only. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Just to note that the "to-go" hatch across the street was closed when I visited on a Friday late morning.
R. L.
Best coffee in Belfast City Centre. Its great that there is always a rotation of choice and perfect descriptions of new coffee blends. Staff super hip yet not to cool to show their top sincerity and customer service.
o.
The La Mazorocco in here is a gorgeous piece of kit, consistently good, sweet, rounded coffee. Staff very friendly and knowledgable, happy to keep coming back often
E. M.
Great coffee, open early
S. D.
Had breakfast here both days I was in Belfast- the porridge, granola and eggs were all excellent, as was the filter coffee!
F. R.
Really nice coffee and some good snacks.
Z. L.
Love this place, definitely the best coffee you can have in Belfast if not in Northern Ireland.
They are extremely passionate about the coffee they're making.
And the food, it's absolutely fantastic the food is prepared according to the season and the local produce available and it seems that the chef knows his way around seasonal dishes.
If you're in Belfast make sure to get sorted!
P. O.
Very nice coffee and lovely place for brunch.
D. J.
Spacious, relaxing cafe, delicious and creative food. Eclectic range of customers. Saw a reference, in a review below, to someone not feeling they were the target market. Can't honestly say I was aware of one. People who like good brunch and good Coffee without being squashed for space? The queue was literally out the door and into the street, which speaks volumes for the place. Nice location in Cathedral Quarter too.
L. L.
Coffee was so good I went twice in a morning. The cinnamon buns were delicious. My friends had the eggs with a large variety of toppings and were all very impressed with the quality of food and value for money.
B. J.
Really love the coffee here as well as the aesthetic, and it's friendly service too. They've added food to the mix, which has been a big success. When they opened first they were priced significantly higher than everything else around, but were also head and shoulders above the competition in their quality. It's great to see they've truly lead the city's 'third wave coffee' buzz with genuine enthusiasm and shared their success and skill in the region.
G. G.
Really great coffee! (Coming from a chain store barista who's bored of bland coffee.) The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and talented. The food range is also always exciting and includes tasty, healthy options. The store itself has clearly had a bit of thought put in; it's clean, stylish and a has a great social feel. I could not recommend Established more. This is exactly what Belfast needs.
C. B.
Great place for brunch and one of the best places in Belfast for decent coffee. The staff are really nice and happy to explain the different coffee selections. Their bun selection is OK and prices are a bit high. But it's a great spot.
A. C.
Very nice UK style speciality coffee shop with a nice array of food offerings. My beverages were excellent. They only offer espresso based drinks and filter coffee, but do them very well.
A. K.
Excellent place for breakfast: good coffee, tasty food.
F. R.
The taste of coffee could be better, maybe I built the wrong idea from your merchandising. High stools could also be more comfortable although they have a pretty design. Nice place next time I'll try the food...thanks. Staff friendly.
H. A.
Not that I can comment on the coffee, as I don't drink it (not through lack of trying), but I love everything about Estd Coffee. The staff are warm and friendly and I've always felt like they want me to have the best experience possible. I don't know what tea they use but I love it. It's not often you notice a difference in the tea when you're out, but I've always noticed how good the tea is. The brunches are always fantastic. A big shout out to the photographer who makes me tempted weekly to indulge in the brunch or pie special! My son loves the meat patty and it's great to be able to order a random bowl of extras for him to enjoy. It's just a shame I don't live closer!
A. R.
Lovely coffee shop with a decent choice of brekkie options (the granola was fantastic), interesting coffee choices and a very chill vibe.
L. G.
Amazing coffee - I had the Barista's choice of "honey cardamom cortado" and it was incredibly lovely. Very smooth, not a hint of bitterness. I also had a slice of very tasty banana bread, and those around me had very lovely looking brunches...(I think I'll be back to sample those!) The only thing that could improve the place is some comfy sofas, but then again, that might not be the vibe they're going for!
B. M.
Established Coffee is the premier coffee shop in Belfast (In my opinion haha). The staff are friendly and the service is fantastic. The menu varies in places from week to week but with a few mainstays, I've never been disappointed when eating here, I've eaten here a lot! The cakes and deserts are simply unreal, and if you're lucky enough to be in time for Sunday pie, you better order it!!
That brings me to the coffee... when ordering your coffee in Established let the barista choose for you, they are working the coffee all day, every day, and know which on the menu is brewing at its best!! They truly know their craft, I promise you will not be disappointed.
So if your visiting Belfast or simply looking for a new coffee spot Established will well and truly hit the spot!!
R. W.
Friendly staff. Really excellent coffee - they know what they are doing when it comes to coffee... But. The food. Oh the food. Incredible grub. Would eat there again and again. Slow cooked beef and toastie were highlights.
L. B.
Established is arguably the best coffeehouse in belfast. Not only is the coffee insanely delicious, but the staff is obviously very passionate about their craft. Knowledgeable and friendly, it shows in their coffee, and the experience of established. Highly recommend, not a place to pass up.
J. D.
Absolutely excellent coffee. Wide choice of coffees served by knowledgeable staff. Food is also very good. Expensive but well worth it. One of my favourite places!
B. G.
Always quality coffee served. Never had a bad cup.
N. S.
Amazing coffee place. My wife and I did a lot of research to try and find the best coffee shops in each city that we visited in Europe, and this ranked as #1 or 2 out of 20+ that we have visited. They sell their freshly roasted beans and if I didn't roast my own I would have bought a kilo or two.
K. K.
Great Establishment (Lols). Fantastic coffee choices and great service.
T. D.
The original artisan coffee shop in Belfast. Always up to date with the latest coffees from around the world and you're guaranteed a great coffee. The tables and chairs, whilst not the most comfortable, do make it a good place to work for a few hours with free WiFi and ample plug sockets. Well worth the trip.
b. b.
Amazing food with great coffee. Had the porridge with nut butter which is incredible!
P. M.
Really lovely atmosphere and trendy vibe. I did not like the coffee though. Tasted burnt and too harsh. Could have been an off day though, or perhaps my preference for coffee just didn't match up with this place.
J. F.
Yummy food for breakfast and great coffee and drinks. (The coffee tonic is delicious and bubbly.) Everything here is great and very timely service--never tol crowded to find a table. Definitely recommend to anyone in Belfast.
P.
Great place to study/draw/write with very student or art hipster vibes. Plenty of table space and electrical sockets for laptops and phone chargers. Coffee is bit expensive for how much they serve per cup, but still very nice.
R. C.
Amazing food and coffee to be had here. I had ham hock on a beer and cheese bap that was to die for. The salted caramel cheesecake I had for dessert was also first rate. It was very busy at lunch time but they could handle it well.
A. P.
Industrial and contemporary were the first words that came to my mind when I first walked in Established Coffee one Saturday morning at Hill Street, Belfast.
The place was buzzing with young professionals from as early as 9.30am and it was not easy to get a table.
I took this as a good sign.
Among their several options of coffees, sourced from the most exotic countries in the world, I ordered the Kenyan filtered coffee. I also got their sourbread, and bowl of porridge, opting for the healthy option.
The coffee was served in a little glass jar and it was full of aromas and flavour.
The sourbread with butter and jam wasn't too special. It was slightly over toasted, making it a bit chewy and hard to taste the sourbread. The jam was average and too runny almost impossible to spread on the bread.
The bowl of porridge was served with nut butter and banana slices. It was very tasty but a bit too sweet, so I dont think it was the healthy option after all.
I'll be curious to try other of their breakfast dishes another day and I'm definitely going back.
The glass jar, where people can help themselves to a glass water was a very nice touch. I give Established 5* and would place it among the top cafes in Belfast.
P. M.
Lovely atmosphere. Spacious seating (Covid aware). Delicious poached eggs on sourdough with crispy bacon on the side & an Americano to wash it down.

I would give 5 stars but... When you advertise "freshly squeezed orange juice" and I see the juice coming from a jar that has been in the cooler then something is not right. You can't advertise fresh if you are not doing it on the spot. That is my only negative point. As for the staff, very cool and young people. The space, very cool and open.
T. K.
Glad to be able to go back into Established Coffee. Great coffee, nice staff and doggy friendly
C. L.
Nice food! Reasonable price, friendly staff.
N. C.
One of my favourite places to go in Belfast. Make sure you enjoy some thing from the food menu. Service is always exceptional too.
P. K.
Really good breakfast, excellent quality and a good amount of food for the money. Coffee was also excellent.
B. S.
Trendy cafe, the chocolate brownie was delicious
g. m.
The best coffee in belfast. Staff are friendly. Their pie and drip on sundays are so good and the food pairings are gorgeous, some great veggie food in belfast. The rhubarb and rose cake was memorable, cinnamon swirls are huge, gluten free lemon and almond cake is delicious.
P. A.
Great selection of coffee and tea. The food was also really good.
M. B.
Great coffee, had sold out of the food we wanted but would go again if in town. Staff are really friendly and gave us tips for Dublin.
G. S.
My kind of coffee shop! Beautiful space, great atmosphere and vibe, even better coffee and cakes. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Highly recommend
N. C.
Favourite coffee spot in Belfast. Very good coffee and the brunch is good too. Decor is cool and minimalist. Slightly outside core city centre but worth the trip.
s. s.
Great coffee. They have a top of the range La Marzocco KB90 coffee machine
J. L.
Before we visited Belfast, we had a brunch at the Established Coffee. Nice place, loved the oversized table in the middle. Great coffee and lovely time with the family over here.
S. S.
Milk buns are really nice. Staff is really friendly. Could be a bit of a wait to get a table on weekends.
D. B.
Espresso I ordered as a takeaway was one of the worst I ever had, had to bin it, they do have plenty of alternative brewing methods which aren't so bad which I've tried many times of subsequent trips, thankfully its impossible to mess up an aeropress and with their variety of beans make it a nice option. Food options are also good
S. S.
Tasty coffee, imaginative food and great atmosphere. Really recommend.
A. H.
I had a very nice cappuccino, and the service was quick. The interior is very cool, complete with chargers everywhere for your phone and laptop. I didn't have any food, but the food I did see did look tasty.
M. B.
Speedy service and excellent food.
J. K.
Super hipster place, but really nice coffee. You pay for what you get. Staff are professional though not overly friendly. Nice baked goods.
O. B.
Loved this place. Excellent coffee and really nice breakfast. Well cooked eggs and avocado. Will be back next time we’re in Belfast
M. C.
Super nice coffee! I was really happy about it. Cinnamon roll and pumpkin cake really tasty too. Great experience!
P. D.
Really tasty coffee and very friendly staff! I had a takeaway but there's plenty of seating and nice open space if you decide to stay.
S. V.
Great coffee Yummy food at a decent price 😊 I had granola and yogurt with berries and my husband had egg on toast with bacon. We each had a coffee and we paid £15 for our breakfast 👍
C. L.
Really great, friendly staff, nice vibes/ atmosphere.
Tasty coffee but disappointing that they charge an extra 50p for non-dairy milk. Overall, great place 😁
R. G.
Absolutely the best coffee I have had in a long time. And I'm a coffee freak, highly recommended.
T. L.
Stopped in for a coffee while on a walking tour of Belfast. Very nice coffee with a selection of origins. Pleasant setting. Very friendly staff.
T. D.
French Toast was sublime.
M. H.
Great artisan coffee expertly made. Super yummy gluten free lemon 🍋 cake. Spacious light modern space. Friendly smiles.
B. M.
Excellent selection of top quality coffee available and nice looking food (didn't try this time). Both our coffees were superb and the place was constantly buzzing.
P. M.
I'm not a coffee connoisseur and thus probably not worthy of the hipster minimally decorated clean-looking cafe that is Established, but I had an Americano here and it was a good balance of bitterness and roasty-ness (these are coffee words, right?). It didn't leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth that other coffees do.
F. A.
Expert coffee and dairy free alternatives to milk. Great staff and vibe
K.
Great place, good range of food and drinks. Had breakfast here, and highly recommend it.
E. S.
Best coffee in Belfast that we’ve tried
E. C.
I didn't want to like their coffee, because it is in a dangerously convenient location, but I full blown love it.
Really nice staff too.
K. V.
Good coffee and cakes. It's not a cozy cafe but rather stylish and modern. Cup sizes are a bit small compared to other cafes we've been so far.
G. H.
Coffee for hipsters and people who like their coffee in small cups with big prices. Concrete bare walls add to the minimalist vibe. Free WiFi and close proximity to the the MAC theatre are obvious plus points
H. P.
Not very fancy
More the an airport cafe
Breakfast was good
I think interior needs more input so does the food/menu
D. M.
Don't miss the pie and drip 3pm every Sunday. Uses 3fe coffee so top quality. Their hot chocolate is unreal. Food it Restaurant quality. Lovely place.
P. M. C.
Short menu but every dish is cooked perfectly. Staff both friendly and efficient!
J. N.
Cool cafe, friendly staff and amazingly delicious cakes!
P.
I thought I'd sauntered into an apple store by mistake. I approached the counter and looked for the staff. It was clear that the staff had taken the day off and 'Steve n seagulls' were my baristas for my encounter.
Coffee is (for my personal taste) ok.
Food... I never tried.
Place isnt for me or my types. Not that they project an unwelcoming vibe, far from it...
D. C.
My first visit here was a very positive one. It has a great atmosphere, great layout and great menu. I cant wait to go back and sample more deliciousness.
s. o.
Best 3rd wave coffee in Belfast
T. C.
A bright an airy coffee shop but I didn’t like that it didn’t feel that you could have a private conversation in comfort. It’s not a coffee shop for relaxing and chilling out in its more a place to drop in quickly.
G. M.
Pretty cool place. The staff were very friendly, the food was great and the coffee was excellent. I recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast.
M. G.
Artisanal coffee from batistas who are happy to advise on your brew of choice. Nice airy setting with communal seating. Probably not advisable if you want a quick cuppa.
s. i.
Nipped in here on recommendation from a friend, went out of my way to look for it, basically looks like a ware house with tables and chairs in it, coffee was good but 4 quid for smallest coffee ive had, which was supposed to be a latte, I think one visit will do.
R.
Delicious coffee, yummy cakes and really good service.
J. S.
Fantastic coffee. Good atmosphere and very helpful staff. Lovely nibbles and small plate options including good breakfast options.
J. D.
Really lovely food, especially the weekend brunch specials. I don't generally like coffee but it's nice here.
J.
Best wee cuppa out of about 40 coffees I've had all over Belfast. I tried the food in the window too. Very good. My search is over.
E. M. (.
Best coffee in Belfast, the staff are lovely and really friendly! Then there's the salted caramel chocolate brownies which are to die for! ❤
A. M.
Been wanting to try here for a long time and finally got to go. Love that there was options for beans, and the staff were friendly and had good recommendations
C. K.
Well another greate coffee place. Oat latte anyone. 😉
K. K.
The Food is much better than you expect it's going to be, the staff look like they could be a team on University Challenge but they're also friendly & the coffee.... Ah, the coffee...
P. L.
Lovely coffee and delicious slice of banana bread !
L. N.
Great coffee and delicious peanut butter chocolate brownie! Spacious interior with power plugs everywhere for those wanting to do work here. Love it.

Great coffee and food. Well organised for social distancing while waiting for takeaway order.
S. P.
Great coffee place. Coffee is delectable every time. Very hipster. Can be busy at peak periods.
E. M.
Great coffee and staff. Uncomfortable seats. I'd have liked to stay longer but was driven out by the loud and frenetic music - not easy to relax when subjected to that.
P. D.
Fantastic coffee and great food in a relaxed and open atmosphere. A simple but perfect menu. Not to be missed!
C. M.
Normally beautiful coffee but got a cappuccino today and just tasted like hot milk, walked across town for it too as normally very nice. Disappointed
a. h.
Very nice comfortable coffee shop, service is perfect, coffee selection is very smart, tasty and well made (should add to the menu café allongé or Loungo to replace the americano).
Obviously the weekend brunches are very creative.... Love this place... Should open for evening meals...
F. C.
Great little coffee shop with welcoming staff. The layout is very modern and the coffee is great for purists. The cakes are also pretty heavenly
K. L.
Brilliant fruity Colombian espresso served by great counter staff
L. M.
Estd is my favourite place to enjoy my morning coffee. The staff are amazing!
G. B.
Established has been on my list for so long and it didn’t disappoint. Coffee was great, but the star of the show was the brown rice bowl.
T. O.
Great coffee and friendly service. Interesting assortment of lunch/breakfast choices. Well worth a visit.
G. E.
Very good. Food and coffee arrived very quickly, service was great.
The coffee was not mind blowing. Just good filtered coffee. Food very tasty.

Really tasty coffee and very friendly staff! I had a takeaway but there's plenty of seating and nice open space if you decide to stay.
N. R.
Cracking flat white mid cycle 👌

Food and coffee experience was great. I went back 3 times in a week while I was there. Highly recommend it
G. G.
Really great coffee! (Coming from a chain store barista who's bored of bland coffee.) The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and talented. The food range is also always exciting and includes tasty, healthy options. The store itself has …
C. C.
Amazing and consistent coffee. Great to come here for a quick breakfast of afternoon treat.
E. M.
Great coffee and staff. Uncomfortable seats. I'd have liked to stay longer but was driven out by the loud and frenetic music - not easy to relax when subjected to that.
J. S.
Good coffee and food, was disappointed with the pitiful portions of extras and it’s the poached eggs on toast. £2 for a single sausage...
L. F.
If you see lamb on the menu, get it - amazing and lovely service too!
A. D.
Bacon and black pudding delicious. Chilled atmosphere. Top eatery.
N. R.
Belfast's best coffee. A spacious corner location serving a variety of coffee brews. Hipster-tastic.
A. M.
Très Hipster, meaning great coffee and delicious food in a cool setting. Staff is great and lots of seating, but always loads of people.
J. L.
Great coffee and a lovely, often healthy eating focused menu. Definitely recommend for small groups.
c. C.
Friendly atmosphere and the food is amazing. High quality coffee and great service.
A. K.
Very good filter coffee and banana bread. I also enjoyed the tea from a teapot. Peanut butter and chocolate loaf is great.

Caffeinated cups of joy. As a bodybuilder on prep, a good cup of the good stuff is appreciated!
M. M.
Staff are always so friendly and helpful, always smiling and seen to genuinely enjoy working together which is nice to see. The 'pie & drip' on a Sunday is superb.

Good service, excellent coffees and great range of accessories/consumables. Hario papers cheaper here than anywhere else.
M. D.
Great coffee shop with a chilled atmosphere and friendly, pleasant staff. The flat white here is the silkiest I've ever had.
M. A.
Nice place but hard to get a seat at peak times. Limited menu - more of a coffee than brekkie/lunch place
J. Y.
Lovely coffees and fabulous cakes at this shop. Before I visited the second time, I apparently missed some members of the Game of Thrones cast.
J. J.
Great hipster, studenty cafe with lots of plug sockets, good coffee and friendly staff. The apple crumble was lush.
P. K.
Beautiful interior. Very knowledgeable staff providing excellent coffee and food. Passionate for what they do and the wider community.
