Excellent service, the staff was kind and friendly. We ordered a Coconut Cake and a Banana Bread, both were really delightful! As for drinks, the Oat Milk Latte and Peppermint Tea were brilliant.

This is obviously a slightly different review as we had the privilege of utilising the Pocket for a different use. The Pocket served as the location for my small and intimate wedding, and as such, it was perfect.
We already knew the level of service, and scrutiny to detail from previous visits, but they really pulled out all the stops for us. Every aspect of our evening was planned out to perfection, and the space itself was dressed beautifully, creating a perfect backdrop for a contemporary and modern wedding. We love the Pocket, and we are so grateful to their incredible team for making our wedding a day like no other.
They also make a killer cup of coffee if you don't feel like getting married.

Brilliant service, amazing food with great quality and quantity for a very affordable price. Nice decoration, half industrial, half tropical. Works very well together with the nice music selection on the background (today was salsa). And without mentioning the wide selection of coffee (we chose Ethiopian americano coffee).

Amazeballs! Came to Belfast for a long weekend had an amazing brunch. The french toast is fabulous, green eggs wow and chorizo brunch delish! Was so good we came back before we went home for some more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice quirky little spot defo recommend!

Really cute cafe, staff were very friendly, coffee blends were great and the food was excellent! The scotch eggs were great, the Deadly Cheddly was phenomenal and rich (definitely add sausage)! Also the chorizo is amazing!

Visit on Sunday and it was a long queue take more than 30mins, friendly staff and they managed a busy Sunday customers very well also they offers samples for the people waiting in the queue which was nice from them. Good coffee but nothing special 👍🏻

Very busy spot and the quality of food explains it well. Delicious and exciting breakfast options. I regret I was in Belfast only for one morning, cause I would definitely try more dishes. And 3fE coffee is an obvious highlight.

Short wait outside in a queue to get a table, which was fine, but do expect a queue.
I had the chorizo brunch which was excellent. Coffee also very good. We had the peanut butter brownie at the end which was just ok, I wouldn't get it again.
Staff very friendly and attentive.
They where missing a good few items from the menu which was disappointing

I stopped by first thing 9am. Opened on time. Lovely decor, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and superb food.
I ordered the Rooibos Kombucha. I'd never had that before and glad it was recommended by the staff. To eat, I ordered the veg bapper, no regrets. Filling and tasty.
Great stuff. Need to know, is that pineapple decoration a Psych reference?

Bit overrated, especially cinsidering the queues outside it often has. Inside was beautiful. Food however wasn't that great for both of us. There are better brunch places in Belfast.

Great food, Chorizo brunch was delicious, they don't skimp on the chorizo either, and the little bit of kale makes it healthy, right? Staff are very friendly as well. Coffee is nice and strong but my only complaint is that I ordered a Cappuccino and it was more like a latte, no texture on the milk, very little foam. Overall though a great place for a bit of Breakfast or Lunch

The food was really good and inventive, I had the prawn eggs benedict and it was delicious, the portion was huge!! Service was friendly. We did have to queue but I always think that's a good sign!!

Everything about this place is fantastic. We eat here every single time we're in Belfast. The food is incredible, like genuinely incredible. The staff are so lovely and it is clear they really care from the conversations my partner and I have had with them when we've visited. Could not recommend this place more for an out of this world brunch/experience!

Food is always amazing! I love trying the new menu choices. The flavours are absolutely incredible and everything is made with high quality ingredients. Staff sometimes rush you because of how busy they get, so not a place to work / sit and chat for awhile. Coffee is one of my favourites in Belfast. Really cute interior.

We visited here for brunch while we were visiting the city. It was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, the server was friendly and attentive, they were able to accommodate dietary requirements and the prices were very fair. We liked the decor and style too. We would have likes to have come back but our schedule didn't allow it.

Just got back from the pocket. Best breakfast in ages. My wife had a fantastic sweet breakfast with raspberry's and I had a bap with bacon, egg and chili jam - delicious. Great coffee and service too!!

This is a quirky little cafe serving great brunch on the outskirts of the Belfast city centre. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would have returned the following days too if we didn't have morning tours booked, as there was so much choice on the menu! I tried their seasonal Rosewater and Pistachio Hot Chocolate and I have to say it was a delight - a lovely blend of sweetness, floral notes and bitterness. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches with egg, bacon, cheese and chilli jam. The lady sat next to me had French toast which also looked absolutely amazing.

fantastic food, specally vegeterian and great servicr.

Great food, great coffee, and great service. What can we ask more?!

Green eggs toast and french toast were 10/10. Also had their seasonal coffee which was delicious!

Perfect place for Brunch and Breakfast 😍😍😍 Definitely coming back ❤️❤️❤️

Delicious breakfast with gluten free options. Nice staff, nice atmosphere recommended.

In my opinion one of the coziest and best value added coffee shop in Belfast. Food is elaborate and fairly priced, drinks are great and staff is friendly. Please keep it that way and do not fall into the trap of decreasing quality to increase profit as so much coffee did in the past! (never worth it)

Best coffee/brunch in Belfast for a reason! Quick service, and lovely people make for a perfect experience. The Deadly Cheddly is the ultimate breakfast sandwich, and french toast is a taste of heaven. Worth visiting this wonderful city for a bite at the pocket alone.

Excellent breakfast and staff! Great way to start the fay.

Favourite spot for breakfast. Best French Toast I've ever had!

Absolutely astonishing food, best breakfast I've ever had. The place was really busy, and there was no space for us, but one of the waiters seen us leaving and stopped us, and kindly made a table up a squeezed us in! He made our day! Thank you pocket staff!

Lovely coffee, great breakfast menu, good vibe and fab background music. Aerosmith playing as I type this....

What a lovely place this is! The service was so pleasant and the atmosphere very inviting. A nice selection of food. Prices were high but not more than you would expect for the location and quality.

Came here twice already. Very nice experience at the pocket, great food, nice bora bora tea, tasty dishes.

Lovely little breakfast spot. Staff were super friendly and there was just a lovely laid back mood about the place. The food was really nice. I had the veggie bap which was delicious - just the right size if you’re not in the mood for a full breakfast but still want a breakfast bite and their coffee was really good too. Perhaps a bit strong for some, so maybe ask for a weaker blend if you’d prefer. Very reasonable in terms of price too. Would definitely recommend.
J. B.
Very nice place. I definitely recommend. I will go back next time I'm in Belfast.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service as always. I always order the Pocket fry, different to anything elsewhere and for me Belfasts best fry. Always busy and great to see the owner helping out when needed too! Couldnt recommend enough!

An amazing place to have breakfast. Food are delicious and let me tell you what is the most amazing hot drink ever!! The dirty chai.. my favourite. Highly recommended

Tasty food and coffee. The space is pretty small and you have to queue outside for a table. Servers are keen to get tables turned around pretty quickly during busy times.

The best place for brekkie/brunch in Belfast. Whilst visiting the city last week myself and my boyfriend had the pleasure of eating here. The staff were incredible, the tea/coffee was fantastic and the food was the best I had on our trip. I had the french toast and my boyfriend had the breakfast toastie. It was so good we came back the next day and ordered the same. The location is fab and we were able to sit outside. The staff were so covid conscious and we felt very safe. If you're in Belfast it's a must. Thank you so much the pocket @ the flat iron ❤️❤️

TOP coffee Shop my Hubby and I experienced while visiting Belfast. The coffee was so tasty and high quality roast choice. Food was impressive ( I’ll get the images speak for themselves ) Highly recommend.

Lovely lovely breakfast 😋 had the chorizo and the poached egg on toast..little place but great food and lovely welcoming staff

WOW! The best breakfast and strongest coffee I’ve had in the city. The service is excellent and the food is somehow even better. This is a cozy must for your morning. There are thoughtful touches all over, including in the toilet which is so appreciated. It felt like having a top notch meal in my trendy friend’s home. Definitely a friendly place to dine solo too!

The service was delightful and friendly. Inside the cafe is beautiful. The food, I gave 5 stars as I loved it. The Coffee was spot on!

Had two flat whites, green eggs with avocado, and dark chocolate pancakes. All very impressive, not too sweet or salty, perfectly seasoned. Added up to about 20 pounds.
Will visit again!

Best French toast ever, can't wait to go back. Service was brilliant too, such friendly and welcoming staff.

Although the place was a little bit small, the food was phenomenal especially the French toast and eggs on bread. I ordered the V60 and it's probably the best brew coffee I had in the UK. Kudos to the owners for using Geisha coffee beans. I was a tiny disappointed on the pastry tho, the croissant could use a little more crust and the cinnamon scroll was a bit doughy

The Pocket
In the Flat Iron Building, Upper Church Lane, The Pocket serves high quality fresh food & great coffee in a chilled atmosphere.
Their philosophy for coffee and food is the same as their philosophy for life; “success is born out of passion”. And their passion for terrific food and drink has resulted in one of the most popular and innovative cafés in the City Centre.
Although we had enjoyed many take-away drinks from The Pocket during the height of the pandemic, this was our first sit-in experience, and we were immediately struck by the cool, quirky vibe, friendly service, and great menu featuring local & sustainable produce.
The “Prana Turmeric Chai” is a spicy, milky delight, and the signature dish of “Green Eggs on Toast” with soft poached free-range eggs on sourdough toast served with their famous homemade green sauce was to die for, especially with a generous side of grilled halloumi.
The “Deadly Cheddly” with fried egg, melted red cheddar & chilli jam in a toasted brioche bun was also a winner; we substituted the bacon for meat-free sausages to make a vegetarian version.
The legend inscribed on the door as you enter reads “Hello Gorgeous”, and The Pocket is indeed just that!

Had brunch there. We had to queue, but it was worth it. Food and coffee were gorgeous. Staff were friendly and super efficient

When I visited in a grey winter day The Pocket was pretty cozy and calm, even it's supposed to be full of university student crowd due to its location.
They use coffee beans from a series of roasters. I got to try the flat white with beans from Cloud Picker in Dublin, nice taste and texture, lighter than I expected though.
What I really like about here is that the music playing in the background is as soft and folky as the laid back baristas, offering a nice relaxing moment after a busy day.

Mouth-watering coffee and food. The fried chicken sandwich was next level.

Absolutely phenomenal breakfast/lunch small but tasty menu and extremely friendly staff was blown away completely different from all the rest can’t recommend enough

Fantastic breakfast, but busy so watch out for queue.

Nice little cafe, very popular and always busy. A good healthy food selection.
£2.90 for an Americano coffee, a little steep.

The food was really good and coffee is good quality! The place is quite small but they done the best they can with the space available and I’ve always been able to get a table no matter how busy it is.

There was already a queue at 9:30 in the morning, but it was worth the wait. Didn’t disappoint at all! Food was amazing!

Nice wee café. I love the window seats when I go on my own, they are great for people watching. The coffee is the best of the area and the food is locally sourced and made with season produce.
