Great breakfast! Not too expensive but you could definitely tell with the quality but had a good view. There seemed to be a lot of employees so it would be great to see the customer service improve a little bit with a ‘how is your meal’ but all good! Definitely a good dog walk location. Enjoy!

Really lovely cafe on the beach! Outside terrace upstairs but only for drinks (don't know if this is all the time, but we visited for breakfast). Breakfast was good using tasty, quality ingredients. Looking out at the beach and sea on a sunny morning for breakfast was perfect. Our dog was also welcome inside (as long as the dog is well behaved, kept on a lead and doesn't jump up on the furniture). Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by, I expect its packed on a sunny day. They have a takeaway window and a beach seating area for takeaway too.

This is my favourite beach in Bournemouth and Poole. It has all the amenities required for a day at the beach with the children. There are Ice-cream parlours, fast food cafe's, a couple of decent restuarants and toilets. It does get busy, as you can see from the photo's and videos; however, I've always managed to get a nice spot close to the water. Parking can be a bit of a pain, although, I always seem to find a free spot in the nearby streets on top of the cliffs.

The cafe tries to be more than it is, the takeaway is excellent. Locals (originally Londoners) sit outside and shout cheerily at each other whilst sat half a metre apart. The beach is to die for.

Bacon bap and a Latte on the beach lovely! Nice little kiosk that sells a range of hot and cold foods, ice creams and beer. Prices are reasonable and the bacon bap has 3 thick rashers of back bacon, just watch out for the gulls! They also have a seating area next to the beach.

Situated directly close to the beach in a popular location. Staff welcomed us at the entrance and was helpful all the time. Great fish and chips and full (max full) glasses of cider. We spent a lovely time here, relaxing and watching at the seaside. Prices are a bit too high, but you can't go cheap elsewhere close to the Bournemouth beach in high season.

Only been here for toast and coffee on two separate occasions recently. Both times we sat upstairs on the terrace as the weather was good. Staff were very pleasant, service, food, coffee and atmosphere all excellent. Hope to return again soon

Best service ever. Bald guy was lovely After my festive chineside burger came out as a normal choneside burger he was extremely quick to rectify a honest and simple mistake. We also received a round of bucks fizz as a way of appology. The food was beautiful. Fishcakes were especially tasty. The vewis out the large windows made the outside come in but not the cold. I'd love to return in the summer to experience the terrace and the open windows arrangement they also have. Great space with great staff!

We made 2 visits to Chineside during our week in Bournemouth and thoroughly enjoyed both. The first was for lunch, we managed to get a spot up on the terrace with fantastic views of the coast. They had a good selection of food which was all freshly prepared with very little waiting time despite being fairly busy. Second time was for breakfast and again they had a good variety on offer and was all very nicely presented and tasty. Despite being inundated with customers, the staff were all really friendly and helpful and we were really pleased we discovered this great cafe.

Really great place to go. The food is basic, but not overly expensive. Good service throughout. The rooftop is great when the sun is out and is sheltered from the wind with views of the beachfront. Can get busy on a sunny day at the weekend, but reserving a table is easy.

We absolutely love this place. After driving from Devon for the day there's nowhere better to have a fabulous lunch with a wonderful view. Excellent value for money. The staff are superb, so helpful and always on the move! We had our dog with us and she even got to enjoy a special doggy ice cream. We will be back!!

The ice cream is the best one. The food can be better but is fair play for eating on the beach. The toilets was quite durty and smelling bad. The beach in front of the place is cool and busy but you can sit peacefull with your family and get some sun. The car park is big, very close to the beach but you need to arrive early to get some space. The seaside is freezing but clean. The sand is clean but have some small rocks close the sea, for kids I suggest to use slipper. I really recommend this place my low grade is just because the toilet can be cleaner and the food can be a bit better. The scampi portion is to small.

A beautiful start to a Friday morning 2/6/21. After dropping the kids of to school my wife and myself took are self out for breakfast. We had walked passed Chineside many times and always thought we should stop one day. So we did this time. We was greeted at the door and asked to scan in. So far great start. We was given the last window table with beautiful view across the beach. Table service was fast and so was the food. Cooked and hot. Well worth a visit for a breakfast and i would go back agian.One of the best around.

Always lovely to be able to sit upstairs out on the terrace, overlooking the beach, but away from the crowds. Very Covid aware, with appropriate measures in place. Be aware that toilets are upstairs and unisex, but public toilets next door are individual cubicles and accessible for wheelchair users. Choice of snacks to accompany coffee was limited, but did looked good

If you're looking for a bit of an upgrade from the Harvester directly opposite, then this is the place for you. They have multiple areas for seating - downstairs inside/outside, upstairs outside with a nice view, a little section across the promenade right next to the sand. The food is better quality than your typical shipped in frozen stuff from, let's say.. Harvester! but don't expect good quality or anything above. I do remember them having unisex toilets, which is a bit weird. If you do sit upstairs in the outside area, then it does have a very useful hole in the wall to order food/drink. The staff/owners can act a bit odd with the upstairs seating, for e.g. they will be open for trading and it's a sunny day, but they won't allow anyone to sit up there? Service is okay and the prices are reasonable, considering the location. If you're on the beach and are close by, then it's good enough for a drink. If you're starving and you can't deal with Harvester's slop and clientele, then here is the definite choice between the two.

Chineside is in a great location, right on the beach. However I've knocked one star off because some of the staff came across a bit rude and there are different rules / menus if you sit upstairs. Why can't I eat a sandwich upstairs?? The food is ok but £8 for a halloumi salad, where the salad looked like it was from a 79p pack fom Tesco's...

Chineside is right on the beach! At first, I was disappointed that they had only a takeaway menu, as their online menu looked absolutely delicious. But, their breakfast baps were incredibly good, the bread was freshly baked, and bacon and eggs were top quality. What a gorgeous view! Literally right next to Southbourne Beach, overlooking the sea. Great menu, quick service and delicious food. There are a lot of gluten free and vegan options too. The restaurant is also dog friendly - they sell doggy ice cream which my dog loved!

Excellent for allergies. Went yesterday, and Fraser (the man in charge) looked after me personally, going the extra mile to ensure I had the perfect breakfast. Including making sure the server at the counter understood how to make up my order, and then following up with the chef.

Very nice food and overall decent place, only they have a wierd policy on the menus and seating to be aware of - if you want to sit upstairs on the terrace, you only are allowed a small cut-down menu, with less than half of the the items compared to downstairs. This has got to rank as my most favourite coffee/restaurant in the Bournemouth and Poole area. The staff are very friendly. Welcome you in with big sincere smiles. Why this place has become my favourite is because of the "DOGS ALLOWED" policy. I was there recently on a very wet, windy day and the place was packed with dogs and their owners trying to escape the wind. The staff walked around making sure that both the owners and their dogs were happy. Dogs were given treats. An amazing experience.

I've worked at the place and while the menuand bar are limited, the food is quite good and you can still get a pint or something stiffer. Friendly and considerate staff, great view! Popular with tourists and locals. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner after a day at the beach.

Could not give this place enough praise. The cafe allows dogs to join you for lunch or just a coffee out of the sea wind and sand. The staff are as helpful as possible adding chairs to tables to fit extra people in. When a dog is lying in the way they simply smile and go the other way around. On warmer days there is ice cream for both you and your dog! The food is perfectly suited to a day at the beach whatever the weather with staples such as fish and chips and cakes as well as burgers. We simply cannot find fault with it they were constantly busy with tables filling as soon as they were empty with only one party leaving due to no room, although they did return later after a walk along the beach. If you have dogs and are in the area you really must go. Both you and they will love it.

Popped in for brekkie this morning for the first time with my partner , he had a full English and I had the veggie breakfast and I have to say it was absolutely perfect 👌 . The food was tasty and freshly cooked , not oily atall ,great portion too , we came away extremely satisfied . The service was very friendly and efficient , the staff couldn't do any more to make you feel welcome and to top it all you have an amazing view. What more could you need . I highly recommend .

AMAZING...I am not writing this review because I was bribed with a free ice cream after I dropped my first one... joking aside this is the pefect place to grab yourself good ol' british fish and chip while at the beach. Food was perfect and their ice cream is very nice too. All of it at a reasonable price. And the customer service is the main reason behind my 5 stars. Honestly it was amazing. Ordered 5 portions and asked if I could get the 6th a bit of a discount as I was a bit short. I was told no... kinda expected it but hey if you do ask you dont get. So I used the change to get some ice cream while I waited which was brilliant and flavoursome. Anyways back to my story so the cashier prematurely called my number out and as I went back to my waiting spot I dropped the best ice cream in the world. Being an adult i thought you win some and you lose some my fault. To my surprise the boss offered me a new ice cream free of charge and insisted even though i was saying its okay i dont want another one (I actually did I was being nice). Also to my surprise when I got back to my family with the food I saw that we did get 6 portions not just the 5 I ordered. So for that excellent display of customer service I give you 5 stars... would give more if I could. *****

Choice of paninis, sandwiches, salads, hot food and puds. Good prices. Very friendly service. On holiday in Bournemouth - if I lived here I could see myself taking weekend strolls and stopping off for a drink!

Chineside at Durley Chine is the best cafe on the Bournemouth front to enjoy a walk on the beach then drinks and good food for breakfast or lunch. What's more you can park within a few yards wonderful for the disabled as well. It is very Doggie friendly. Brilliant venue great staff and food .

Have been walking my dogs for the past 10 years along the beach and have had little choice when it comes to places to eat and drink. Finally a great place to have a coffee and drink. We can shelter in bad weather and sit out when the sunshines on the beautiful terrace and take in fantastic views over the Purbecks. Food is good,simple menu well cooked, great service and most of all they welcome dogs If you are feeling it's time to treat yourself try a chine side hot chocolate Fantastic well done 😎🍷☕️🍴

Outdoor or indoor this is a good place for old people young people, even hipsters to dine or just get a good cup of coffee. A place where people come to be seen in. a popular haunt for locals and is even visited by the odd music recording artist living close by it is rumoured. A warm welcome from David the manager made it a special visit and ,the fine selection of continental inspired snacks and beverages at a reasonable cost make this place a real gem . I hope that they continue to well , a real find, you must visit.

Went down to Dudley Chine for a swim at 8.30 in the morning then had a full English Breakfast at the Chineside. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. The sausages bacon were of the best quality ,,, breakfast does not get better than this!

When I went to Chineside & visited their toilet two ladies were in there as well (yes, this was a unisex toilet!?) & I felt very embarrassed as I was unable to do my business properly i.e. unable to fart & I am certain they were unable to fart as well because they knew I was in there too. I seriously hope they do something about this because they are putting off a lot of customers returning or either going at all.

Facilities along the sea front finally have some decent competition in the Chineside will hopefully show what is possible. There are a million and one places to get a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich / roll so Chineside needs to offer something different. Thankfully it boasts a modern new building and has a large upper deck, beach side terrace, groundfloor restaurant and a shop. It makes a world of difference being able to sit outside and being able to look out to sea. Others do offer that but only after you've had people walk in front of you and the odd van or land train trundle past. Service is very important and from my first visit the staff were pleasant and very helpful including the guys behind the whole thing. They serve breakfast, burgers, fish and chips, panini, coffees, sandwiches, snacks and ice cream and if the sun is out they'll fire up the BBQ. I really do wish them well, it's good to finally have somewhere to grab a drink and a bite to eat .
