Reviews of Frieda's Tearoom

Amazing 💕 The sandwiches were delicious, tasted very fresh. Perfect warm scones. Super soft, fluffy cakes😍 Strawberry milkshake also super delicious. It's such a pretty venue. We did just walk in but it was early, just as we were finishing up someone walked and was told there were no tables but they could get take away, some tables did have reserved on them so I'm guessing the get booked up in the afternoons. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu. The team working were very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were very nice and understanding with my dietary needs . We had afternoon tea here and it was amazing. Defo a must visit

What an awesome place 💗 I live in Bournemouth but I didn't kniw about it until today and I'm absolutely in love!
Nice, cosy atmosphere, pretty decor, lovely service and good coffee
I'll definitely come back soon xx

Pleasant surroundings, surprisingly large when entering off the street. Just off the main road & too easy to miss. A great place to meet up with friends, a good range of coffee and other drinks. Gorgeous cakes & they don't sclmp on the size of portions. Not sure what other foods they serve, definitely a place to return to. Warm and friendly staff, and will accept both cash and cards. In a word, excellent.

I had a lovely, perfectly cooked brunch that was just the right size. The lady who served me was delightful and had a strong but nice accent which was perfectly understandable.
I will be going back in the future and would recommend this establishment to all.

What a great place I can highly recommend!
We came for my boyfriends birthday breakfast and it was amazing.
Great selection of breakfast, brunch and more - and the mocha was the best I ever had!
And you could see so much love being put in the interior design.
When they realised it was my boyfriends birthday and another customer next to us had his birthday as well, they came up with a cake for the two of them - thank you so much for that!

we finally got to visit the tearoom today, the food was great and and all of the staff were extra attentative, even though it was grey outside the tearoom shines bright for their great customer service, the coffees were made perfectly. will will be back.

We went for the afternoon tea for the first time today 26th June 2021.
I must say the sandwiches were delicious and the bread so fresh and soft. The scones were slightly warmed and really lovely and light even for scones.
The cakes were fresh and very light.
Lovely experience.

Quirky type of place mixture of regulars and passing trade. Only a small place tucked away down a back road so usually there is room unless you pick the wrong time when I've seen people spilling into the road and even sitting down on the pavement
M. H.
Great. Attentive service. Plenty of tea and cakes. All really yummy. Would recommend for a relaxed afternoon tea

Best breakfast I had in Bournemouth and really nice atmosphere
I highly recommend

Good breakfast and very nice coffee in a cute cafe …. But the radio was on so loud with the most unrelaxing music … they did turn it down when asked but it was still too high. Kind of spoilt the meal.
Also pre-buttered toast is not a great idea.

Attended a baby shower lovely gluten free afternoon Tea and friendly staff 😀

Amazing cakes and incredibly generous portions. Absolute gem of a tea shop.

Lovely tea room with good vegan options, delicious fresh cake and a nice atmosphere. Also child friendly. Will visit again.
T. W.
Lovely afternoon tea with tasty sandwiches and scones, homemade cake and proper tea with tea strainer.

Good for Cream tea. Beware that tent roof outside carries water that can fall down on you
M. T.
Best place I have been to eat cream tea. The sandwiches and cakes are lovely. The atmosphere is very cute and the staff is lovely. There are no many sits available so ideally you want to book when planning to visit.
I have been there to celebrate a baby shower and they manage to fit about 10 of us on a table.
It's a perfect place to bring your Mum and enjoy a lovely tea or coffee.
Nothing to be improved

Had the pulled pork it was delicious and very enjoyable. Well worth the walk.

Been in Bournemouth for a few months and this is the first time I’ve been to Frieda’s. Why did I wait so long?! The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Decided to have a cheeky bit of chocolate peanut butter cake after lunch and I was not disappointed. A little slice of heaven that. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Would recommend.

After my partner and I had spent at least an hour trying to decide where to go for something to eat we finally settled on Frieda’s Tearoom. It’s a little tucked away but don’t let that put you off.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room itself is adorable and so inviting. There is a second room which I’m guessing is for parties or used when the shop is busy maybe we had a look through the window on the way to the main door and it just looked so lovely in there.
The girl who took our order was really friendly. She was very quick with the drinks and was always smiling while serving. Another girl brought our food out to us. She checked if we needed anything before she left us to serve someone else. It was really nice to have someone check on us during our meal. Normally I find that encounter rather awkward but here it’s like a friendly stop by and I felt that if I did have a problem they would definitely do something about it.
When it came to paying the first girl served us again and was very smiley and chatty. While waiting for the payment to go through on my card she kept talking and didn’t leave that silence you sometimes get which is not fun for anyone involved.
After we left we felt a little guilty for not leaving a tip but we had no change on us at the time. We will definitely be back soon and will definitely leave a tip next time.

A really lovely homely tearoom with friendly staff and delicious locally sourced food . Our breakfast was beautifully presented and we couldn't resist taking some home made cake with us. Thoroughly recommend a visit and we will defiantly be back. Thank you Frieda ☺️

This place is amazing! Came here for brunch with 3 of my friends the morning after a wedding and what a find! Really good food, lovely atmosphere and above all awesome service! Lewis (I think?) served us, and was friendly, funny and genuinely made the experience what it was :-) thank you! Also very reasonably priced!

We went in on Monday, as we were nearby, expecting maybe cakes left from Saturday etc, but we're delighted to receive wonderful sandwiches, just-out-of-the-oven scones and delicious cakes and a HUGE pot of well-versed tea. Great experience!

What a gem we found during our weekend getaway! We came in early with out little puppy and although in Frieda's dogs aren't allowed (except in the outdoor tables), it was chilly and the staff allowed us to get a corner table inside with our pup. The food was great an the treat even nicer. We shall come back!
S. P.
The afternoon tea was fantastic, and Frieda was so warm and welcoming, and willing to answer all of our questions

Fantastic tea room atmosphere with lovely reclaimed and restored furniture! I tried both the steak sandwich and some of the blue cheese burger, both were absolutely delicious! Frieda made sure that I saved some space for home made ice cream and brownies too! Go out of your way to visit!!

Lovely Afternoon Tea, however, for the price we feel there could have been more sandwiches. Certainly was not value for money. Lewis was very attentive.

Decent cafe. Not the most delightful of Bournemouth's areas unfortunately, but did a decent breakfast. Unfortunately lost a couple of stars as they're a little overpriced.
S. G.
Delicious food, both the hot food and the sweets. An excellent afternoon or cream tea. Good atmosphere, free open wifi, and decent prices, especially for lunch.
