Fantastic place. Really quaint in deco. Spotlessly clean. Staff really welcoming and friendly. My dog was also welcomed. Lots of dogs in there on our visit was fantastic atmosphere.
Food was also fabulous. Excellent value for money. I opted for vegan meal which was really tasty. Lovely variety in my salad, with tasty vegetables pie. Definitely will be returning soon.

Great except for the steak.
I had a steak sandwich that was very very gritty and was constantly having to bin bits of bad meat. You could tell it wasn't fresh either. Flavours were good though.
Giving 4 stars because the rest of the group loved their sandwiches, just wished I had gone for something else.

Super cute and cozy spot for food and a nice cup of tea. We stopped in to treat ourselves to a Christmas Eve afternoon tea, which was delicious. Even though we had the latest booking of the day and the staff must have been anxious to leave and start their Christmases, we did not feel rushed at all. Well definitely be returning 😁

Beautiful setting, managed to find a table for 2 of us outside. The food is lovely, with a lot of choice.
The only downfall for me is the seating, especially on a hot day it is quite limited.

Upon arriving, the quaint and homely nature of cobbles is immediately obvious. One feels removed from the pace of life, there is no "fast food" atmosphere here (although the service is very prompt). It is a place to relax with friends/loved ones and enjoy some locally sourced, well prepared food. Our breakfasts were superb, with the fresh ingredients evident in every bite. Clearly there has been a great deal of thought creating this menu as the flavours compliment each other beautifully.
Service was exemplary; polite, professional and swift.
In a challenging time for the hospitality industry, cobbles exhibits an escape from the fast-paced stresses of urban life. Everyone involved is to be commended for their hard work, passion and committment to quality.

Myself and a friend went to Cobbles this weekend before a beach walk with her dog, George.
We booked ahead online a few days before and were able to select to notify the team that we would be bringing a dog along.
It was a bit confusing when we arrived as I wasn't sure where we were going as they were setting up for a wedding and the deli area is separate to the restaurant.
We figured it out eventually and were sat down straight away. The restaurant was quiet but lovely and clean. George made himself comfortable on the floor and had lots of fuss made of him, which he loved.
I ordered a vegan breakfast and my friend ordered a gluten free breakfast. There was a nice range of items on the menu and they had alternative milks available for my tea which was great. They even cooked a sausage for George which he was very pleased with!
The staff were all so friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure and I would not hesitate to visit again.

Only found this place by pure chance but by god what a gem of a find! Food is fantastic! Staff are lovely and it's such a beautiful little place! 100% recommend this place!

My son’s wedding took place at Cobbles on Wednesday September 15th.
What a fantastic venue for an informal yet intimate wedding experience.
All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating but at the same time extremely professional. All areas were beautifully & tastefully decorated. The post ceremony ‘grazing table’ was well stocked with savoury and sweet items and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thanks to all at Cobbles for a memorable day.

Pre ordered one of the festive footlongs....
Waited arround 20 minute's after our collection time as it was extremely busy.
But it was worth the wait.
Literally the best sandwich / roll I have ever eaten 😋.

I popped over to Wales for a little staycation and stopped off at this deli for a coffee and some food en route to Dunraven Bay. It was a wise choice as the lady serving me (Anna) was lovely and made an excellent latte. The bonus is that the deli serves Minor Figures oat milk rather than a poor quality milk substitute. I was really impressed by the choice on the menu. Off the top of head, I remember a sweet potato and pakora sandwich. I went for the chorizo and chicken with pesto pictured below, which I'm relieved I bought to take with me on another trip this time to Three Cliffs Bay as I couldn't find anywhere appetising to eat at that location. I have a yeast intolerance so I requested sourdough bread instead of the usual ciabatta and the staff were very accommodating. I loved this place so much that I went every day after breakfast during my staycation. If I lived in Wales, I'd be a regular at this deli for sure. I would have eaten in but it was fully booked so I opted for a take-away. I also ordered a chocolate brownie on two separate occasions; both excellent but the fudge chocolate one was simply amazing (and I'm not a fan of brownies). This deli is a must-visit. Top ratings for the food, service and setting.

If you want the best sandwich in South Wales that can be taken down to the beach, look no further. Highly recommend, good price for an amazing sandwich. Complements to the team.

Absolutely stunning restaurant! We didn't book in but went to their deli and our food was incredible. Can't wait to book a table and go back!

We had spotted the Cobbles a few days before going and said it looked lovely we would make a visit in our weeks holiday. We popped in yesterday and we’re spoilt for choice with lovely hot and cold sandwiches from the deli. Both sandwiches were so good! They were stacked with filling, great value for money. We were stuffed.
We realised that we’d forgotten a snack for a baby who’s weaning so the lady serving was so good and gave us a selection of finger food for him to have. She went above the service to do this for us and I’d give 6* if I could for this.
We’ll defiantly go back again and we’ve already been recommending it.
e. g.
Absolutely beautiful breakfast! Wonderful, friendly staff who greeted me with a warm wood fire on a cold morning. I had the gluten free breakfast and it was spectacular. Would recommend for coeliac friends!

Stopped on the way to the seaside for fish n chips with the aid of Google maps. A big sign outside says 'fish and chips', parked-up and went inside, only to be told they're not available till the spring!
Since we had stopped I decided to check out the deli for something to take away with us and chose a breakfast bagel for my boyfriend and a tuna crunch sandwich. Along with a £2.50 can of coke, it came to £14 something in total.
My boyfriend enjoyed his bagel, but unfortunately I could taste the fake butter in the sandwich which was a real shame since the filling was delicious.
We came to the conclusion that as they had stopped serving fish and chips almost 2 weeks ago, they had deliberately left the sign up, knowing potential customers would stop and buy an alternative!
D. C.
The restaurant is closed now but the deli is open and makes sandwiches to order which are fabulous. There is a selection of savoury pastries and coffee. Best sandwich I've had and the chorizo scotch egg was divine.

I’m disappointed with Cobbles, they used to make the best breakfast in Bridgend. But now they are no longer open for breakfast in the week and there is never space to book on the weekend. The deli is good, but they need to reopen for breakfast walk-ins in the week.

After visiting three castles in the area, we liked the look of this place to stop and have some to eat.
This place has a lot of charm with its cobbled floor small rooms with the tables being made of old sewing machine bases and reclaimed wooden tops.
The food was amazing, we tried the pancakes and the Hash Benedict faultless. We certainty didn’t need anything else to eat.
We will call again 👍
If you find my review useful then a “Like” is appreciated 😊

Great tasty food we had pancake and waffles
N. L.
Sandwiches was beautiful, took a long time to come but you dnt mind when it tastes that good. 1 star off for the extra 4 pound added to sit in, they are not cheap anyway so shouldn't really charge an extra £2 on each item to sit in
F. F.
Really delicious food and lovely atmosphere! They were a little short on their drink selection, but I guess that's because they are very busy, which is great to see. Super easy to book a table, will definitely return.
J. Q.
Had cobbles breakfast, it was so good 👍
K. C.
First visit and stayed for hours! I loved the view, the ambience, the staff were incredible and the food was divine! They even catered to my gluten and dairy free diet with ease and like it was no big deal.
Very grateful to the chef and staff for quality throughout - will be back 100% and couldn’t recommend enough

Lovely local cafe/restaurant. Growing every time we visit, there seems to be something new each time. The food is very good, and cooked freshly.
a. f.
The most gorge spot for the perfect brunch with brilliant service. Cosy and delicious. Need I say anymore.
m. m.
I love this place great location , great tasting sandwiches and first class coffee.
D. M.
Fabulous brunch in a beautiful location, I highly recommend this place, and has a very accommodating to gluten-free menu
G. P.
Fantastic Place with lovely food and excellent staff.
H.
The veggie breakfast was ok but the pancakes were inedible and very dry. Disappointing given the hype around this place
J. I.
Beautiful place, friendly and attractive staff! Lush food
j. a.
Came here for a party . Had a lovely main meal which was really nice ( from the vegan menu) I had lasagne which triple cooked chips and bread which was great but would have been nice if it had some greens or a salad to add some colour. They had ran out of vegan cakes which was a shame and the third visit in a row they had ran out ( I have had a slice in the past and it was divine) the main reason I have marked it down was because the room we were in was freezing I would suggest wrapping up warm. and we also found the live music too loud for us to hear each other speak. I will come back as the vegan menu is superb but will have a lot more layers on.
K. H.
Cobbles is a little gem of a place. Set in an old farmhouse, and serving really tasty food, it's now my go-to anytime I have people visiting who want to see the area - mainly so that I can have the excuse to visit again 😉
Inside is pretty simplistic - don't expect too much comfort. But I think the food is good value for money, the atmosphere great and the little deli there is charming.
Things to note: it's a dog friendly place. They've also recently added proper toilets (instead of the outdoor loo)
A. S.
Food was stunning but as I am disabled I was unaware of the amount of steps in the venue. The staff were all extremely happy and genuinely pleased to see and serve you. The toilets are not accessible if you can't walk. My mother actually fell up the step as it wasn't clearly visible due to location of a table close to them. Prices were good value for money
L. J.
Cobbles is the most beautiful venue with delicious innovative food. So much choice for all dietary needs. Reasonably priced, healthy and served with outstanding service. Even had my wedding reception here and the Cobbles team literally made the day for everyone. Go there! You won't be disappointed.
F. E.
Amazing food, coffee & service as always, avocado & sourdough,
l. h.
Awesome little deli, they offer indoor dining too! The deli offers hot / cold sandwiches/baguettes, The sausage rolls and scotch eggs are to die for! Slightly expensive but you get what you pay for, defo recommend, often will be a v long wait on hot sandwiches though so be mindful, all in all great little deli

Edited review
The company have since changed there wording on there website since I queried there pricing, the original description on their website is attached below.
Booked my wife and her friend in for afternoon tea. No complaints on the food or service, I just can't see how they are able to justify their prices when their website states its £21.95 for afternoon tea(see attached photo for details) no where does it say this is the price per person, my wife got charged £33.80 plus a £10 deposit which was paid prior to arrival date, so a total of £43.80.
For the price of almost £45 for afternoon tea they solely received what is described on their menu priced at (£21.95). I have phoned since my wife's visit and they are still saying it is £21.95 per person which doesn't state this on their website.
So in hindsight if 8 people were to go for afternoon tea it would cost £175.60 for 1 serving of afternoon tea (what is described on their menu for £21.95).
I think somethings not right here and should be addressed immediately
A. A.
Bought my dad here for father's day and had the gentleman's afternoon tea, was absolutely brilliant definetly had the wow factor, something different. Was sooo much food we all had a goody bag to go home with
A. H.
Although they had lost our booking for afternoon tea this did not deter from the service we received. The sandwiches were very tasty, smoked salmon, ham & mustard, egg & cress, cheese & chutney together with freshly made little quiches. The cakes were to die for in fact we couldn't eat them all and took them home for later. Nothing was too much trouble we will definitely be back. There is also a deli on site where the afternoon tea is freshly prepared.

Went for breakfast which we booked a week before. The place is nice but we had to keep our coats on as it was cold. There was a log burner but it wasn't on. The food came quickly and was very nice but quite tepid. We had bubble and squeak which consisted of sweet potato, leek and onion. The coffee was
good. Not sure I would return as there was very little ambience. We were in and out within 45 minutes which may be a good thing if you are in a hurry.
T. B.
Had high expectations of cobbles given the reviews but I have to be honest, was average. Lovely barn setting and staff were great. However, food looked great but was quite bland. Also they got my husband’s order wrong. He ate it anyway as didn’t want to wait for a replacement but overall we found it only ok
J. S.
Lovely, cosy place to sit & enjoy a drink. The deli worth a visit as well
R.
Absolutely incredible! Friendly staff, the best food, I wish I lived closer!
D. S.
Went in this morning, & what an amazing little deli. We bought steak pasties, & corned beef pie ( all home made), they were absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be going back.

The most delicious veggi breakfast ever...lovely friendly service..so dog friendly too...and coffee to die for.. I'll be back..

We had our wedding reception at Cobbles on 17/09/21 and the entire experience was incredible.
The atmosphere and decoration laid out by the venue was perfect in its rustic charm which complimented the wonderful buildings.
The grazing table in the afternoon and barbecue in the evening were both incredible and were received well by every single person at the venue.
On top of that I can't speak highly enough of all the staff who worked with us beforehand and on the day to make sure everything went absolutely to plan and exactly as we wanted it to.
We can't wait to revisit the kitchen now as Mr and Mrs!

Popped there earlier today , thanks to our youngest son, mother’s birthday prezzy. Great food fab coffee. My only complaint, I had mussels in garlic sauce with asparagus, which was truly scrumptious, of which I thoroughly enjoyed, sad to say that I was served closed mussels, which are taboo and can make one quite ill, on opening and eating them. Please ensure future dishes are inspected prior to serving in future. Staff are exceptionally pleasant, we’ll be back and yes, I’ll have the mussel dish again, along with the house red & coffee. Thank You kindly very nice indeed.

I had heard about this place from a couple of people and thought as we were going to be nearby, we could order ahead and collect later.
In the morning, we knew we were going to be a bit late to collect, so tried calling to confirm 20 minutes beforehand. I called 6 times from my phone and my partner called 4 times from her phone - no answer.
Arrived later than we said we would, and was greeted by the one of the staff members after waiting for a few minutes in the queue. Was handed part of my order by those making sandwiches, unable to answer why no-one picked up the phone, then told the coffee part woukd be a few minutes too.
10 minutes later...
I had to message my partner, as I was waiting for a lot longer than anticipated, especially as I ordered the night before. Eventually I was able to speak to another member of staff, who said they don't have a telephone nearby and if I was calling, the phone would be inside the restaurant, separate from the deli of the business.
The question was met with annoyance of being asked, which confused me as our order was running late by 20 minutes.
Safe to say, £6.95 is expensive for a sandwich, especially if it's two sandwiches and a coffee, which came to about £16 approx.
Seems like a nice place, but probably remove the snarky attitude from the menu - it's not a popular item.

Visited for breakfast. Thought it was a little expensive, but great friendly staff. My breakfast (fry-up) was good, but disappointed they don't do their sandwiches until lunchtime - didn't say this on menu. Japanese pancakes different but tasty. Definitely somewhere to try at least once!! Indoor and outdoor seating, together with separate fish and chip shop.
R. M.
Just picked up Fish and Chips from here. Food was piping hot even after a ten minute drive to where we are staying. Beautifully fresh fish in a lovely fine, crisp batter. Will definitely return. Very friendly staff.
B. (.
The food is fantastic and staff are great. There is an insite Deli to buy produce to take away. There is also a bar that serves a good assortment of ales and ciders. Good for children and they have high chairs
P.
As always food was fresh , well presented and tasty . Staff are lovely and helpful and it was a welcome end to a lovely walk on the beach. Highly recommended... only drawback was the inability of customers leaving to shut the bloody door ! I was up and down like a fiddler's elbow. Not cobbles fault just rude ignorant ladies who lunch.......rant over.
C. M.
Hidden away in Ogmore this hidden gem is gaining a fast reputation for their incredible food. We went with their egg in a whole bagel which was incredible with a side of their triple cooked chips. Stunning
S. H.
Very good coffee and a tasty lunch of fishcake with nicely cooked egg and garnished with salad.

Santa's Brunch with family and young granddaughter.
Top show with Santa and Snowflake. Very professional. Very enjoyable.
Brunch that followed was delicious and service to a mixed age clientele was excellent yet friendly.
Thoroughly recommend for any future celebration for anyone.

Visited for the first time today after reading reviews and being intrigued by its award winning title. The car park is super awkward, I'd recommend parking elsewhere and walking to the cafe as it was pretty hectic. We were sat at an awkward table right under the stairs that had uneven floors. Not a big deal but I'd recommend not sitting there as the wobbly chairs are a bit of an annoyance. The cafe itself looks really nice inside with exposed wood beams, but I'd recommend it needs more of a clean. Large amount of cobwebs above us. I appreciate it's a barn which spiders tend to love but the ceiling isn't high to clean.
The coffees were really nice but the food was a bit disappointing for the price. The cooked breakfast my partner had was quite small for the price tag. He enjoyed it however didn't like the bread as there was no option to choose white or brown. He noted that the bacon was lovely and good quality. The hash brown was nice, my eggs were overcooked which was a bit disappointing but not a big deal. The only thing I didn't like about my meal was the toasted ciabatta bread being hard to cut through because of the blunt knives.
Service wise it was a bit slow and could have been nicer. We both noted that we got the impression that they were very rushed and stressed. Some of the waiting team were more polite than others. The environment wasn't super pleasant to be in as it wasnt relaxing. At the end of the meal we waited a while to try and get the bill but ended up going to the counter to pay. It was £29 for a full breakfast, breakfast on bread and 4 coffees. We were fully aware of the price of the food before booking but were expecting the meal to be more than it was. The photos of the meals on social media look great, but it's not comparable to what you get in person.
Overall I'd say it was a decent experience. But it's not somewhere we'd rush back to. We've both agreed to give it another go at a time that might be quieter to try their lunch items. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.
A. C.
Busy when we called and parking quite difficult. Restaurant available but we sat at a wooden picnic bench in sheltered courtyard of old agricultural buildings. Lunch has limited but adequate menu of hot and cold sandwiches and meat pastries. However be warned - the sandwiches are freshly prepared and delicious but are so full of filling that they are over 30mm thick!😂 Busy so queueing time for counter service quite long. Food prep time quite quick. Overall nice venue for a family meal.
P. D.
Nice food with a rriendky atmosphere, will definitely go again!
G. P.
No words other that this place is F*ing amazing! Didn't manager to sit it because it was rammed but the Deli was so good! I highly recommend having a ruben sandwich as its to die for 🤤
The sale of dried flowers is a really nice touch and the people who work there are all lovely too.
P. O.
What an Absolutely Fantastic place! Literally Phenomenal! Thankyou so much to Betty (However my husband is saying its Betsy) You are a Diamond! We thought that you were the Manager as your service and attention to detail was exceptional! 👌🏽 The food was AMAZING! If you are passing by please pop in you will not be disappointed! 10 out of 10 and we we DEFINITELY be returning!

As a Vegan, I am now a huge fan of cobbles. The vegan breakfasts are to die for. Definitely recommend, I can see me coming once a week lol!
J. h.
After a terrible week this valentines tea was so needed. I had high expectations and I wasn’t let down. The presentation was outstanding, absolutely beautiful and better still we enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you so much Cobbles will definitely be ordering again.
k. r.
Nice produce but poor service, ordered from the deli and waited 25 minutes for the wrong drinks to arrive. The barista didn't know what a mocha or a flat white was and asked me what skinny milk was?? Such a shame because it's a cool little spot with great potential but just lacking staff training.
J. W.
Wonderful breakfast; eggs benny and a french toast were definite winners, really lovely local coffee too. great with our demon of a puppy. so good we went twice in 4 days.
F. A.
We popped in for breakfast Christmas Eve on the off chance they had a table. We were lucky. I was the only vegan in a group of three people. Often when eating out, I know I cook better than the restaurants I visit. Oh the joy to eat here today! There were various vegan options and not just a rubbish substitute! I had the breakfast bowl with excellent vegan sausages and not half bad scrambled tofu accompanied by roasted cherry tomatoes, avocado, sourdough toast, mushrooms and beans. Excellent quality, presentation and service.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and produce. I will absolutely be returning.
Spread the word. This place is darn good!
If you are vegan and you can’t stand another ‘butternut squash’ anything which is the standard option everywhere, give this place a go!
My son and neighbour raved about their non veg option too.
Hands down the best food I have eaten out for a very long time.
L. M.
Highly recommended wedding venue! If you're looking for an intimate wedding reception/wedding with a personal touch in the most beautiful setting I cannot recommend Cobbles enough. From start to finish they were amazing. Great communication from Maggie to help us plan and organise. The food was amazing, we had bbq for everyone then a grazing table as pudding/nibbles. Both courtyard and the inside are perfectly set out, you have to see it to fully appreciate it. Music was played throughout the inside and into the courtyard. The staff on the day were amazing too. Couldn't do enough for us including driving us and our stuff to the hotel because we were stuck! Thank you soooo much Chloe! We had a perfect day, thank you Xx
G. J.
We had a lovely meal today. I ordered the chicken burger which came with chips, it was lovely! Really well cooked and the burger was huge! Kids meals were free as it was half term. Desserts were lovely too, large cake portions, the kids loved it. Great service too! Lovely place.
M. S.
Only been the once so far... Excellent breakfast and coffee
G. L.
Brilliant, great service, very good menu selection, pleasant efficent staff, best Coffee anywhere in the vale. And the food was 100% What a joy to have a place like this to go for food. It restored my faith in Welsh establishments.👍👍
C. J.
Not bad for breakfast but always a long time waiting
R. W.
Wonderful, worth an hour drive to eat here. Food is amazing, very generous portions. Staff are all polite, friendly and very helpful.
K. A.
Had a stunning afternoon tea here. Came as a group of 6 and we were seated in the upstairs area. The decor was lovely, very rustic and shabby chic. The staff were friendly and responsive, but the star of the show was the food. We all had the afternoon tea and it was absolutely gorgeous, I'd say the best I've ever had. For the first time I couldn't even finish everything but they offer boxes to take the leftovers with you which is great. I'll definitely be coming back here and would love to try other meals such as the breakfast. The only downside as such was that the afternoon tea only came with standard tea (breakfast tea, in a tea pot made with tea bags), we weren't given any options on the type of tea, however that said I still wouldn't hesitate to come here again.
N. W.
I've visited Cobbles a few times, it's a favourite for breakfast and lunch.
The staff are great, they care about where they work and care about their customers. The food is great. We haven't been back since lockdown, but will be back soon
M. R.
Had a take away sandwich...ate in courtyard was very tasty
T. R.
It is always very busy here so make sure you make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Plenty of parking and they accept card.
The food is freshly made and has been consistently delicious.
The afternoon tea in particular is really nice. The sandwiches are delicate but filling, the flavours of the cakes varied so you don’t get overwhelmed. The cupcakes are not the greatest but the cakes by the slice are very good.
A. W.
Style over substance. We visited because of the external signage, which suggested good quality food and a deli. The 'food might take a while' sign didn't put us off as we understand that good food cooked from fresh is not fast food. However, given that only a table of 2 appeared to be served before us we did feel that a 50 minute wait for poached eggs with hollandaise sauce served on hash browns and spinach was excessive. Our table was dirty and the young man behind the counter obviously hadnt checked it before or after we sat down. He also seemed oblivious to other tables which needed clearing. The food was nice but the egg yolks were not soft. Plus, the deli doesn't exist, and there is a distinct lack of warmth both in the welcome and physically in the building, which could do with some additional heating
It all looked pretty though.
C. W.
Epic breakfast! Had the vegan breakfast and there is SO much yummy food on that plate, the hash brown is lush. Lovely building, nice atmosphere, super bright and friendly staff. Definitely coming here again! Nice coffee too with good milk alternative to soy.
A. O.
Stopped off for afternoon tea & cake after a walk near Ogmore Castle. So glad we did. I had the Victoria Sandwich & hubby had the Bounty. Huge slices, so fresh & soft. The jam on the VS was exquisite. Service friendly & quick. After tea we popped into their little store. Ended up walking away with 2 homemade meat pies & a bottle of seaweed gin. The pies were delicious, stuffed full of meat & sauce. The staff behind the counter were knowledgeable & helpful, but steer clear of the seaweed gin!! I understand they are busy at weekends, so book a table. We went late afternoon on a week day & it was perfect. Dog friendly too.
C. P.
Had a ploughman's sandwich and mars brownie, was delicious!

Completely Stunning Venue in Ogmore Vale to Celebrate any of life wonderful family Occasions
S. H.
FAB food and service - nice size portions and good veggie and vegan options.
A lovely courtyard to eat in - great for shielders at the mo.
It was so good we had a breakfast each and then shared the pancakes! And the coffee and ice tea was great too!
G. O.
Excellent breakfast and great coffee too!
J. H.
The gluten free fish and chips is the best I have ever had. I highly recommended! Excellent menu choice. Excavent service
M. M.
I felt sorry for the person that recommended that we visit here. It sounded great - real Welsh food in a stone building in the countryside. That may be there case but service was awful. 30 minutes after ordering we were told that the meal we all wanted was not available. The replacement meal took 45 minutes to arrive and, when my "steak and ale" pie arrived, there was very little steak, and kidney I neither like not was expecting. Sorry guys - just not good enough.
N. P.
Nice little spot, nice building but a disappointing meal. The reuben was poor, it had a slither of what looked like tinned corned beef, not the stack of real salt beef and sauerkraut that you'd traditionally get. My partner had the hash stack which was very small in size. Service was pretty slow too. Won't be returning. Far better places to eat for the price!
V. H.
Lovely little place. We went for afternoon tea, great service from the girls and wonderful food. Only issue is we paid the deposit back in February and when we went last week we wasn’t expecting to pay so much left - turns out the price went up since we booked and paid the deposit. We would’ve appreciated being told beforehand and there is nothing on your website to state there may be changes in prices after deposits paid. However, we would go back again.
B. L.
Beautiful venue for a wedding! Haven't been on a normal day, but it's a really cute building and surroundings. Staff are lovely.
B.
omg! their fish n chips are delicious!! great place on your way or back from the beach, though no need for an excuse to get yours anytime 😁 lovely little building and super service, highly highly highly recommended! 👍👍👍
S. H.
Lovely little restaurant. Very picturesque building inside and out. Food was lovely with generous portions.
K. F.
Went here for a little family birthday celebration on a Wednesday evening. They've abandoned the Welsh Tapas and gone for an extended lunch menu and added a few "Specials". They are very flexible and were quite happy to swap chips for a salad to go with their Welsh Beef Lasagne. Massive BBQ Beef Ribs were on offer as a special and they were fantastic. Everyone in my party was delighted with their choices. A little bit slow from ordering to serving but it was well worth the wait. Excellent value for money as well.
J. B.
Beautiful vegan breakfast. Huge pot of tea just for me. I was told of the restaurant plans. Please have a fantastic array of vegan options. Vegans will travel for good food and bridgend definitely needs to be vegan aware. Lovely friendly staff. Gorgeous location. Definitely will be returning. Happy start to my birthday
M. “. L.
They were busy so we had quite a long wait for food but it was worth it in the end. An inventive menu, based around some usual favourites: A little bit different. The staff were lovely too. It would have been 5 stars if not for the wait. (We were warned at the time of ordering and they did give free tea top ups because of the time taken.)
N. T.
Amazing fish and chips!! The best I have ever had. Really good service too even though it was busy. Certainly recommend.

Food is to die for, how many restaurants do you know that serve an inch thick rump steak with a beautiful creamy pepper corn sauce, with triple cooked chips and the most beautiful onion rings and the quirky thing is when you look at the menu you don't know what type of steak your getting, pure genius.
The settings are beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly. Our first time there and it has now become our favourite restaurant.
M. M.
I was here today for the first time with a friend, we have both wanted to visit for a long time.
Very disappointed 😞 food was ok customer service was none existant.
5 front of house staff but only one know what was to be done.
That one was very good 👍
J. W.
This place is great! Delicious breakfast, quaint setting, fab deli. Will return everytime we go near
B. H.
Here for a wedding it was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were lovely. The portions were too big though! Two salmon fillets was a bit too much!!

5 star
Just spent mother’s day afternoon at cobbles. Very impressed and would highly recommend. Menu for vegans, veggies and meat eaters. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Lovely service, lovely people. Lovely food. Mam loved her day.
Thank you.
A.
What a great little find!!! Driven past this little gem plenty of times without realising its a restaurant/deli. Food is outstanding and its a perfect place to stop after a nice walk on the beach or famous stepping stones. The deli is lush too with homemade cakes and savoury bites to take home. Good Welsh beer and cider selection too which was an added bonus.
A. M.
Excellent food, good variety of drinks in a homely and welcoming decor. Breakfast menu, lunch menu, afternoon tea specials and evening menu available (open until 8pm in the summer months) I would recommend booking ahead as they are only a small establishment and it can get very busy due to its burgeoning reputation. Bonus of a scrumptuous cake shop next door. Well worth a visit.
S. L.
Cobbles is perfect for hot drinks and a lush cake but we visited for some lunch last week and there wasn't a massive choice for us Vegis what we did have was lovely but lacking flavour! Staff are absolutely lush and sooo friendly.
T. P.
Lovely peaceful courtyard but with loud music?? No scones, for mid morning coffee 😒
s. w.
Sausage rolls were amazing! No Internet and no phone connection which made contactless ordering harder. Perfect stop on way to Ogmore beach or Castle for picnic bits
T. R.
Lovely restaurant with great friendly staff. Dog friendly- even gave our dog two sausages for his lunch free of charge. Nice varied menu and lovely desserts. Worthwhile booking as seems to get pretty busy.
E.
A bit expensive but quality food and cooked to order. First time having a battered sausage since going vegan and it was such a treat!!!
L. R.
We love Cobbles, the delicious food & good size portions are worth waiting for. The NEW system is, you have to find a table, get the table number, decide what to eat & drink, then go back to the bar to order & pay for your food. This was not made clear as we entered. Fortunately we weren't in a hurry & now we know we are the wiser.
C. B.
Amazing selection of takeaway sandwiches and homemade pastries, perfect for an afternoon picnic. Highly recommend!
P. B.
Everything about Cobbles is amazing. Brilliant coffee, lovely staff, the best scotch eggs and cakes. The takeaway is perfect if you're heading down to Ogmore beach
A. L.
Dog friendly!!!!
Went there for a baby shower.
Lovely helpful staff. Accomodated different dietery needs. Clean and inviting environment.
Only thing I think they could improve on is to offer a selection of teas and smaller, prettier tea pots otherwise it was great.
T. A.
Omg. This place is stunning. Stopped by for a sandwich (best I've ever had). Gorgeous place. They do afternoon tea, so will be doing that soon!!
K. G.
Great vegan breakfast and coffee! Really unique atmosphere and friendly staff. Only 4* due to the price - £9 for a vegan breakfast. Recommended for a treat!
K. B.
Conflicting information on web site and Google regarding opening times. Arrived for a birthday breakfast on a Sunday at 11 with a party of 6 to be told that breakfast not served after 11. No warning of this during a phone call earlier in the week in fact was asked to pay a deposit of £5 per head to secure a booking! This was declined (just as well!). In spite of this will try again as it's a lovely venue and have had a snack / coffee in the past which were satisfactory.
C. L.
My wife and I went to Cobbles and we have since returned several times. We love great and real food and it is executed in such an amazing way! Brilliant food and attentive staff! (but in the good way) The Vale of Glamorgan should be proud that it has such a fantastic foodie haven! Can not rate Cobbles highly enough - 6/5.
C.
Absolutely beautiful food and fantastic staff!! So wonderful to see dogs allowed to chill while their owners chow down. Fantastic atmosphere and always lovely to stop by here. When asked where to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even just a coffee...this is the only place that comes to mind! If you haven't been yet you MUST pop in, highly recommend and such a fab location!
S. S.
Delicious food, large portions and good value. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant and courtyard dining are really pretty too. All our food was so tasty and we can't wait to return!
J. M.
Arrived after making a journey especially to visit here, to be treated with the deli part closed down (no notification on their website) so instead of a lovely selection of cake for my Nan to choose from, there was 3. The cake we had was nice, but not amazing. On the way home we decided to stop and visit the deli to see what we'd missed (it's moved to a local village). To find it was shut, even though the staff at the café told us it was open.
C. G.
Ordered a delivery for 12.30, it turned up at 12.30. Great service, the prawn sandwich and the philly cheese steak was very tasty and well filling. All round great food and service.
C. S.
When you actually get there at a relatively peaceful time and day you may have a nice filling meal whether it’s breakfast lunch or dinner...
however it’s manegment needs improving
I have walked in seeing a table with 8 or so seats with 2 people eating at it. They said they don’t know when they’ll have a spare table so we could chance it if we want, so we asked if we could reserve a table as before we had seen reserved tables and they replied “ no, sorry we can’t do that”.
Yet after this conversation the lady had to ask another person if there were tables so that means she had not checked
Other than than it is the most amazing food I’ve ever tried especially the breakfast
K. A. L.
Lovely atmosphere. Always busy. Food is good but we did have to wait over 40 minutes for it to arrive. Only downside, you cannot book unless you are a party of 6 or more so its pot luck whether you can get a table or not.
G. M.
Great for a takeaway brunch. My GF would not stop raving about her veggie Reuben bagel.
J. G.
Sandwiches are pretty great but cakes are just average.
Also quite pricey.
Very friendly staff 🙂
D. B.
Tucked away gem. Spotted this place when have a meandering drive back to porthcawl. Simple signage sells them short. Tuck away in a courtyard you would never expect them to have such a great selection of cakes and food. Lovely coffee too. Staff were friendly and fab. Definitely popping back for some more peanut butter cake and next time gotta try some of that nice looking food off that menu. See you soon.
A. P.
My first visit to Cobbles and very impressed. Very pleasant surroundings, great staff, great service and one of the nicest breakfasts I've had. Great produce, beautifully cooked.
S. C.
What an absolute little diamond of a place. Excellent service location and the food was spot on. The choice for vegetarians and vegans was such a nice change from other places. Will definitely be returning again and again. Thank you
K. H.
Nice surroundings and great deli shop with excellent customer service. The food was a little of a let down and sandwich bread was not finger friendly. Very busy place so be ready for a wait. Dog friendly was a bonus
T. M.
Looked forward to trying this place after a long walk. Not the best meal considering the price...25 for 2 sandwiches a bowl of chips and 2 drinks! Just to put this in perspective we ate in a pub today with starters, mains and drinks with table service for only a couple of quid more!! And this was an independent pub with fab food!
S. M.
Couldn't recommend enough! The decor of the place makes it a very pleasant place to be. Whilst the food is slightly more expensive than the average cafe it's well worth the money! The produce is all locally sourced and of the highest quality so is sure to not dissapoint!
T.
Really nice little place, brilliant food, friendly staff who were very attentive and the coffee was the cherry on the cake. So hard to find decent food and coffee I was made up. Keep up the good work!💪
L. P.
Have driven past this building for years and yesterday finally popped in for coffee on the way home from the beach. Will definitely be going back, the food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the building itself was right up my street ! 👍 the coffee that we popped in for lead to full blown lunch ! 👌
F. H.
Nice comfy atmosphere and lovely people. Food is great and coffee good. 4 stars for now as service after order was a little slow but it's not a place to go if in a rush anyway.
B. F.
People have raves about Cobbles to me for a while so had to go there for breakfast! When we got there it was busy so parking was difficult but not impossible once we realised had a small over flow car park.
We went in and went to sit down with the dog where my partner had sat with a friend and her dogs previously. However the rules seemed to of changed and dogs were only allowed outside or in the lower room where the till was. I have no problem with this as to be fair further away from the kitchen dogs are the better hygiene rating for the establishment!
Staff were friendly and helpful and orders were taken quickly at the till. Drinks came very quick.... however the food did take its time... was a slow service and there was a couple of complaints about the wait by other customers. When our food arrived I had finished my drinks and would of been nice to be offered some more.
The food was amazing when did arrive and really enjoyed it!
If you go in knowing food may take a while you be fine. Good food takes time to make and also it is fresh, just be prepared. My only suggestion would be to let people know this, maybe ask if want drinks with food or the offer of more drinks once food is served.
M. G.
Had our 1st stop at cobbles kitchen with Sa1 cyclecafe .
Great service , nice coffee and food if you needed !
Very efficient service with a smile , it goes a long way !
Thank you to all the staff :)
C. K.
Breakfast is a bit thin on the ground for the price but the quality of food is stunning! Would be better if you could choose your size breakfast or be able to customise to your liking
D.
Fantastic place, fantastic staff plus delicious food. Accomodating when 2 of our party cancelled on the day.Well worth a visit.
C. E.
Amazing place, great coffee and home made cakes, it's well worth a trip if you are off to the beach. Some steps around the cafe but it is baby friendly and the staff are happy to help move buggies if needed
D. L.
Fish and chips portions were excellent size and the fish was very tasty minced beef pie was delicious
r. b.
Stunning food. Absolutely delicious
G. J.
Lovely little place. Cosy environment, plenty of parking nearby, the Reuben I ordered was very nice and the cake I took away was fantastic. Would definitely stop off the again if I'm in the area.
D. P.
We went to Cobbles last Saturday and enjoy it very much so we returned today with friends. We were sat in the cwch which unfortunately was very cold. Far to cold to take our coats off. I appreciate it is half term and busy but the food was mediocre. Such a shame and disappointing.
J. P.
We had a take away afternoon and gentlemen's tea for Mother's Day. It was the best we have ever had anywhere, delicious! Thank you! We will certainly be back at the end of these uncertain times !
C. L.
The food was quite nice, but did take a long time. The coffee was okay, however the service needs a lot of work. The coffee came spilt on the saucer, and we had to ask for another one to replace it, no initiative to replace as you might expect in such a nice venue.
W. D. R.
Had breakfast there last Saturday morning. Was first class food and staff were friendly nothing to much trouble. Will visit again. Excellent 😀
R. B.
Genuinely the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had!
A. T.
Nice food & on-site delicatessen. They do a particularly nice breakfast.
M. D.
Fab place. Food was outstanding and can't wait to go back. Only complaint is that the table and the one next to us were very wobbly so our drinks kept spilling. Minor problem and didn't spoil our enjoyment
G. C.
Really cute decor and location. Lots of vegan options! Food took a really long time to come out, would have been better to let us know there was a wait of food, but it was tasty.
G. W.
Excellent lunch when I visited a friend. Lovely cuppa and cake today. Great customer service.
S. H.
I visited with my 5 year old son. He was treated to the biggest hot chocolate he has ever seen. The breakfast was beautiful and the staff friendly. A little gem.
D. R.
Stunning, highly recommended and you can take the pooch. We will be back!
A. R.
Dog friendly and really good food! My Dalmatian loved it after a good walk at the beach
S. K.
Very friendly staff. Lovely setting - get outside if weather allows. The food is freshly prepared and top quality too which makes it so tasty and good value too.
M. H.
My daughters baby shower, venu beautiful, food delicious, staff friendly and very helpful.
L. B.
Great place, very nice food and coffee, helpful staff. All the food is freshly cooked and includes a variety of vegetarian options. Recommended.
S. D.
Amazing sandwiches and fabulous vegetarian options. Highly recommended.
S. T.
Amazing sandwiches and great biscoff brownie, can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!
l. p.
The fish was huge could of shared ot between the 2 of us. Nice you could sit outside
F. A.
Excellent food. Amazing staff friendly cosy and when the fire is lit on a winters day nothing like a hot chocolate. There's even a deli with home made foods. Yummy. love Cobbles Kitchen.
M. J.
Friendly staff, tasty food, Rarebit could have more salad to make it a similar size to a sandwich and the flavoured Latte could do with more syrup flavouring so that the coffee wasn't the dominant taste.
J.
Very good food, and friendly service. However, a long wait for a table and no hand soap in the outside bathroom let it down, especially worrying during COVID.
J. S.
Our lunch was amazingly good. Some lovely unusual choices. Top of our list for ladies that lunch
N. w.
what a lovley place to sit and have lunch..i loved my ploughmans to share...i will be going back. mmmm
J. L.
my friend and I called in early for they're beautiful full cooked breakfast and it didn't disappoint! the service was lovely and the staff simply couldn't have done anymore for you..loved it x
E. G.
The mood is nice the food is good and the staff is friendly. I'm just surprised that none of the seating areas seemed to face the lovely shoreline.
P. C.
Something a little different from a standard cafe. Great staff, some lovely food, though the sausages on my all day breakfast were over cooked. Would recommend the toasted sandwich menu, a favourite for my wife.
C. W.
Lovely food, atmosphere and staff
N. S.
Lovely place to have a relaxing coffee and catch up with friends. Food is good and the deli is fab with a small but excellent range of cakes and crafts.
M. R.
Just been there for xmas lunch. Fantastic food! Great service and lovely warm welcom. What a lovely Christmas day we've had
I. P.
Excellent service will definitely try food next visit.
J. G.
Great quality home cooked food with really varied menu. Delicious.
Be prepared to wait 30 mins for food at busy times.
T. P.
Lovely place, had coffee and cake, coffee was really nice, coffee and walnut cake was nice but didn't taste of coffee, 45 min wait on food but hardly anyone in there so would have been put off by wait, but we went too early so didn't want lunch anyway, food looked really nice, menu a bit on the pricey side.
J. O.
Great place! Well worth visiting if you're local regardless of the time of day, you'll always find something there you want to eat and an attentive level of service.
T. P.
Nice little place in an old barn, always busy but relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was good
R. B.

J. W.
Took mum for a delicious breakfast. Lovely fresh food and friendly service. Will definitely be going back 🍳👌🏻
D.
Brilliant place. We ordered ahead and everything was ready when our party of 7 arrived. Wifey is disabled, fortunately was having a 'better' day and could get up the step to the restaurant, that's a big deal for some!. I'm sure though, if I had asked there would have been some kind of ramp they could have bought out. (guessing) overall thought, a lovely little place to pop along to, from a hungover breakfast to a birthday tea, they cater for most, and must mention the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Thumb's up here 5/5 honestly they didn't bribe me with cake! Well done.
L. N.
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and a lovely setting. Food reasonable priced. Will mc it once back home in England
A. L.
Great find on the way to Ogmore and Southerndown. Love what they have done to this old barn and the food is delicious too. Looking forward to a coffee and cake stop soon
C. J.
Lovely setting in a rustic barn conversion, three unique spaces to sit plus a courtyard. Staff all friendly and welcoming but bit slow clearing tables. Cafe atmosphere by day with more of foodie feel in the evening. Daytime menu a mix of all day breakfast, sandwich and salad menu and lunch dishes, maybe a bit extensive. Warm veggie lunch choice a bit limited and one of the two choices out of stock on my visit. Food excellent and chips superb. On site delli nice.
A. M.
The coffee and sponge cake were delicious. Slightly disappointed the deli had moved and when we found it in Llantwit Major it was closed.
r. w.
Lovely staff members, very welcoming and caring of the Covid-19 situation. Food was lovely! Will be visiting again
A. M.
Amazing food with restaurant deli and chip shop lovely stop but book the restaurant

Really nice food.
P. A.
Poached eggs were hard, brisket beef was very salty. Staff were lively though.
M. G.
Fantastic food and great service and much thanks to the kitchen staff, I'm a chef at BBC Cardiff Bay and always appreciate good food and staff,
P. D.

They are serve really nice food, the staff is lovely, very friendly and helpful. Dogs are very welcome. Highly recommended
N. M.
Service and food was good, there was a misunderstanding with the order, which lead to one of us going without a dish. Portions are big, so we could share amongst ourselves.
A. D.
Best breakfast around
Could do with opening slightly earlier on weekends though
R. P.
Lovely courtyard, great coffee and very tasty homemade sandwiches.
M. T. s.

A. M.
Good place to stop for tea and cake which was tasty and came in a reasonable amount of time. Food, while good, took a very long time to arrive however!
R. T.
Good service, atmosphere and food
S. G.
Lovely place for breakfast friendly staff and amazing food will go back again soon

Lovely place and service but my rarebit was quite bland and the salad accompaniment tasted a little "old and earthy".

Lovely looking place but food very underwhelming. I'd heard a lot of good things about cobbles but found the food to be average but expensive
M. A.
Delicious food at a reasonable price but often very busy and therefore quite a long wait.
m. M.
£20for sausage beans and chips for two, and two teas. Not a fan of cold beans. Will go again but just have a drink.
