Excellent fresh bakes, cakes and salad boxes
I've been coming to the Helmstone for over a year and half now. And the owner and Chef is a outstanding with the food he has on the menu and creates. Always very friendly and welcoming. He's a culinary expert on presentation and flavours in all his dishes. He prepares it all fresh and hand made from the early morning everyday. A magnificent array of savoury and sweet products displayed in the glass counters as you walk in. Which I must say are all incredible. Nothing I have not tried being a lover of good food. My favourites being the Sussex Tasty, flat rats, chick pea roll and salmon turn over. All bursting with abudnace of flavours and textures. I've always found the owner to be very polite and friendly. Always accommodating for dietary requirements and an in depth knowledge of his products and ingredients used. Great selection of cold pressed juices and speciality coffees with non dairy alternatives. And in the shop your mind is always occupied with the array of decorations and ornaments on display around the incense and candles also on sale inside. Seating available inside and out which makes it a great go to for breakfast and lunch! Don't hesitate and get yourself down there for your own experience. Highly recommend to friends and family when visiting Brighton!

A tiny hidden gem! Such deliciously nourishing menu and a lovely owner. My mother visiting England for a second time was blown away. Thank you for the chai on the house and see you next time 🙏💙✨

Been meaning to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! Delicious coffee accompanied by out of this world vegan cakes. I had the peanut acorn (which had a scrummy mandarin and coconut fillinhg) and my partner the rather stunning 'cake tropicana'. Phenomenal!

This fantastic Vegetarian & Vegan delight,
is a real treat. Delicious, very tasty fresh
food. Local produce. I had a 'Wonder Box'
18! ingredients of pure goodness. Short
on seating - long on quality & friendliness.
Fabulous cakes. No toilets.

Very good food but it takes ages to be prepared. Sadly I don’t go any more, it just takes too long.

Fancy but very tasty and fresh. I tried the pastry filled with smocked fish and cheese, the ingredients went together so well with the natural seasonings.

Great little cafe, with vegetarian options. Who knew you could make avo on toast so spectacular. In house baked goods, with fresh ingredients in all the menu items.
