I regularly visit the laughing dog for their delicious bagels and nice smooth coffee. Plus they’re dog friendly which is the real treat ☺️ When they’re super busy things can be a little slow but that’s forgivable as it seems every staff member is young.

Absolutely amazing coffee and cakes and food. Definitely the best place in whole Marina. ♥️♥️♥️I just don’t understand how it’s possible when there is 7 staff people, they all walk left and right like they are on holidays, seeing people staying by the counter waiting to order and for 10 min nobody is bothered. Almost in every occasion I go there. 😂😂😂 But I always come back. Could someone show them how to work please? 🙏 Otherwise it’s amazing place. 🥳

This mid-sized cafe has everything you'd expect + welcomes dogs! (possibly even the gallery section...! )☕ Give the gallery half is also worth a visit, it's got some locally inspired pieces with various bits of merchandise. 🌅 Overall a pleasant place to spend parts of your afternoon /w your dog or 🍰 or both. Absolutely one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Great vegetarian and vegan options, lovely soya milk latte and a cosy environment. Super dog friendly and the resident dog is quite a character. Definitely worth a visit! So glad I discovered this thanks to google reviews!

One of my favourites. Not just great food, drinks and art. But a thriving community centre. This wonderful place pretty much does it all. Family owned. Delicious home- made food. Great coffee, tea, and very tasty cakes. My usual, fresh mint tea. Vegan and Vegetarian goodies. Licensed. Live events. Spacious art section. Print shop. Sunny outside seating. Dog friendly. Easy access.

The Laughing Dog is brilliant! Lovely food, great service and a shop with wonderful gifts. I am coeliac and don't like sweets and cakes. The Laughing Dog is one of the only places I know where I can get delicious , gluten-free, savoury snacks! The savoury muffins are one of my supreme favourites ever!! Unfortunately the lovely chef is not able to share the recipe so I am busily trying different methods so I can make them at home! they taste of spinach, chilli, feta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes!! Mmmm!!

Loads of good vegan options. Coffee still very good. Big range of sandwiches, toasties and things (hummus, beans, avocado) on toast, pastries, flapjacks and cakes. Tables more spaced apart than most cafes. A favourite lunch place in these trying times.

Cozy place. Cakes all look delicious that it took me some time to choose. The actually taste was not a disappointment...delicious! The soya mocha was the tastiest I had, so far! I love the boss dog who goes around checking the staff & guests. He's just sooooooo cuuuuute!!! Good stuff in the shop & art gallery side as well. I have a few things in mind to soon buy & give as gift to some friends.

My absolute favourite cafe in Brighton, the cakes and drinks are so delicious, the decor is so cosy and cute and there is a shop next to the cafe that is perfect for gifts and treats. Not the cheapest place but the food (especially brunch) is such good quality and so tasty so definitely worth it. Love the atmosphere and it is dog friendly!

What a great cafe! Food was delicious (we had the big dog and veggie dog) and the coffees were great too! Tap water available from big containers (infused with cucumber too!) Great selection of cakes (wish i had room for more). Browsed the shop and came away with some lovely cards and a few other bits. Will definitely be coming back here again

Visited the laughing dog on a cold and rainy post lockdown day. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. Great atmosphere and felt so safe with the new covid rules. Staff sanitised all tables, chairs and menus before any customers sat down. Also had designated “serving spots” on the tables to follow social distancing guidelines. The cafe and shop were beautiful and the resident doggo is so cute! I found the laughing dog by accident but now I will definitely be back !! Thank you x

I haven't visited the Laughing Dog in a few years. Fab to rediscover it this morning. Lovely food - best breakfast I've had in ages. Great selection of drinks and cakes too. Most importantly, somewhere my dog was happy and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Really cute cafe that’s dog friendly so perfect if you go for a walk along the under Cliffe and end up in the marina. A little shop with some cute and funny gifts perfect for birthdays or even Christmas! There has only ever been one issue which could easily be corrected. I chose to have pancakes here and they were delicious but served on a wooden board which soaked up all my syrup :(

The coffee (cappuccino) was weak and no froth despite asking for an extra shot, and just a milky coffee. The granola chocolate was old and dry the dark chocolate had a film of white. So was the worst experience for a coffee shop

I live in Brighton and am often at the marina with my husband, we use The Laughing Dog a lot as the coffee is great. Also we would eat there as the food looks lovely but it is all (apart from cakes) kept open on the counter thus allowing customers to breathe,cough and sneeze all over it and the hair of anyone leaning over to fall in, not nice!! If not for this I would have given 5 stars Here as promised is my updated review: The laughing dog has improved considerably since they have installed the new glass cabinet to cover the food. My husband and I were there today and it had a great vibe, very relaxing, it is by far the best place for coffee, cake and food in the marina. Great for doggie people and their dogs as well 😄🤗

This is the nicest place to go in the marina village. The cafe is not cheap, but it's fantastic quality. Avocado on toast with various additions is great. The cakes are gorgeous! Lovely gift shop and gallery too.

Well it's been a while since I visited and the team still have their magic: a very friendly welcome, great service and nothing is too much trouble ( I am a real fuss pot about my tea!) The atmosphere is great and as before you are never pressurised to leave: a real social hub. The cakes are fab! Take a bow Laughing Dog, you deserve it! I'll be back soon!

Absolutely amazing cake and a wonderful selection of art by local artists. Also, the shop for bits & bobs was wonderful. Good bright colours. Lively vibe. Wonderful cakes and cream teas in the café. Lots of sweets and chocolate gifts (or for yourself. No shame here!) Also sells great artwork and has wonderful decor everywhere. But the dog.. the dog was awesome. So well behaved. He just walked around calmly stopping whenever a human hand was extended to him. Truly a wonderful little café. You have to go if you're ever around Brighton Marina.

The art is absolutely stunning. I recently picked up a piece there by Dairo Vargas which is beyond beauty. Well worth a browse and chill.

I have been to The Laughing Dog many times with my Cavalier. Great experience really dog friendly. Not like another so called dog friendly Tea Rooms where the dogs can't sit on a sofa or lap. Great to have a cafe that says that it is dog friendly AND IT REALLY IS!! Geoffrey

The Laughing Dog is situated within the bustling Brighton Marina and features a fantastic array of great food, very well-made coffee and a very cute dog! The staff are very welcoming and the art gallery and shop offer further variety and a lot of interesting things to look at. We visited this cafe today with our four and a half month retriever puppy Sam it was his first visit to any cafe and our first to the laughing dog, such a great idea for people to be allowed to take their furry friends/children, the food is lovely and very filling, very relaxed atmosphere, the shop was fantastic too some unusual gifts, we had a great time and will definitely be going back.
