Really nice coffee shop. You would think that not enjoying coffee would hamper my experience but they offer a nice variety of other hot and cold beverages like hot chocolate. The cakes are nice as well, I enjoyed a summer fruit mascarpone tart. Will visit again.

Love Coffee#1, not a chain I'd come across before as I think it's a more southern thing but definitely better than the other high street coffee chain cafés in my opinion. Coffee is better, menu choices are great and the cakes are amazing. Like actual proper fresh patisserie cakes. Dog friendly too which I love, so many aren't, but if your out for a walk and fancy meeting someone you don't need to sit and freeze outside. Always cool, funky decor and friendly staff. My #1 choice when going out for coffee now.

Although the coffee is always good, some of the new staff need some training in customer service. While waiting for my coffee to be made the two ladies serving preferred to chat to each other and one was even drinking her own coffee, instead of engaging with both myself and another customer that was waiting. I have been coming to this coffee shop since the day it opened and was always impressed by the warm greetings of the staff, but in the last couple of months, this has certainly been lacking amongst several of the new staff.

What can i say! Its just a cup of coffee? No its not. Its a great cup of coffee. The house special is a honduran blend. Its really smooth and goes down well. The service is great, warm, welcoming and friendly. A nice relaxing atmosphere. My 8 year old loves to go in for a treat and have a white hot chocolate and millionaires shortbread.

Coffee #1 is a great place for light bites, cakes and hot drinks. There are tables big enough for families as well as smaller ones. My granddaughter enjoys coming here, especially for the croissants and mini donuts. It's also a place where I feel at ease coming on my own. Service is efficient and friendly.

Lovely staff, all really friendly and helpful. Service is quick, there's plenty of seating and the coffee tastes good. Only annoyance is the constant reminder on the WiFi that you've been there for X amount of time. Once every now and again makes sense (you really should buy a coffee or three and not just take up a table) but reminders every 30 minutes are just irritating.

nice decor but food/cakes very expensive in my view. I had an iced latte - very disappointing. Cold strong coffee with 3 huge ice cubes in it. Not crushed or anything. Lots of tables waiting to be cleared so we ended up clearing kne ourselves in order to be able to sit down.

Came here with my grandfather in law. Who is a regular. The staff were warm and welcoming and are attentive to his needs. As a regular he is remembered and treated as a friend even so to receive a Christmas Card from the team. I couldn't rate the staff highly enough. Also love the fact you can get a free bag of compost made from used coffee beans.

Friendly staff. Huge selection of glorious coffes, including gingerbread my favourite as well as some unusual and delicious sounding frappe drinks. Also serve gluten free. Enormous cafe with comfy seats and tucked away sofas also. Pre prepared lunches and breakfast too as well as a variety of naughty cakes. Right next to bus stop also so extremely convenient if walking is difficult... Highly recommend a trip

It does nothing wrong, i just feel underwhelmed by the whole. The staff are nice, the place has all the frippery you would expect from a "trendy, individual" coffee shop, the food is decent but i always leave feeling like i could have had a better time elsewhere. Maybe it's just me.
