You have to try this place if you have a sweet tooth! The best mocha we've ever tasted (you get to choose the cocoa percentage of the chocolate that goes in your drink - we went for 72% 'dark') Delicious cake and other sweet treats too. It's not the cheapest coffee or cake you'll ever eat but we think you should see it for what it is: a treat!

Wide range of pastries there and it’s only good for chocolate lover. But the cakes taste overwhelmingly sweet only, without intense chocolate flavour. The price of cake is reasonable based on the portion and you can choose melting chocolate sauce on top of it. The drinks price is expensive compared to other cafe in the city centre.

A lovely place, nice and cozy. There is plenty of sitting area. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a chocolate lover's heaven. There are all kinds of chocolate desserts, including cakes, sundaes, cookies, brownies and melted chocolate which you can get drizzle on pretty much anything you order. The Dulce de Lece sundae is absolutely delicious, a massive portion so it's perfect for sharing. They offer different % chocolate hot chocolates and a variety of teas. I’m not a sweet tooth but I can’t resist coming here for their delicious everything chocolate-y. Their brownie was tasty and they offered dark chocolate sauce as a topping for the brownie which was genius since it became more enjoyable for me, not all sweet, a bit bitter. And of course, I got hot chocolate with 80 something percent dark chocolate. And it was perfect.

If you have a sweet tooth and love all things chocolate then this is the place for you! There’s a big selection of hot chocolates (you choose the % of chocolate) and cakes. You can get melted chocolate on top of all the cakes and cookies. It’s not the cheapest place but quality is good, portions are big and everything is delicious! My favourite is the dream cake covered in melted chocolate, although I cannot eat a whole piece to myself as the chocolate is super rich and sickly!

I’d definitely recommend going here!! ◉ The cake slice is good for how much money it is, decently sized, definitely surprised by it most of the time when I buy a cake from somewhere it’s more on the smaller size but not this one it’s a fairly big slice. ◉ I got the Matilda chocolate cake, it was quite sickly and Rich. If you don’t like rich chocolate or you can’t handle sickly cake then I recommend trying something else. ◉ This was my first time there I would go again and try something different. I’ll update this review every time I go there!! ♥ #1 update: ❂ my uncle went and had a victoria sponge cake covered in white and milk melted chocolate. He said that it tasted amazing, he would definitely have it again. ❂ He also said: “The raspberry jam had an extremely strong flavour even when covered in a lot of melted chocolate. Perfect size, wasn’t sickly at all. Definitely recommend trying it.” ♥ #2 update: ◉ I tried the victoria sponge cake covered in white and milk melted chocolate, it was great however it wasn't really my thing, I would still recommend it though. ◉ I also brought a white chocolate and raspberry blondie to take home, which disappointingly wasn't very good... The texture was the worst part it was mushy and not pleasant! ♥ #3 update: My mum and uncle went and got themselves a mini Victoria spongc cake and a Matilda cake/chocolate cake and also brought home a Matilda cake for me and it honestly was so delicious bought home. Definitely recommend takeout and having it at home it’s so good!

After visiting their Bath site we were excited to come here, and we even left it to the last place on our list in sheer expectation.... Happy to report they smashed it again! Location Located on one of the busiest streets for food in Bristol, its clear that they are fighting for the footfall but they don't at all struggle given their product and branding. Short wall from the shopping centre but perfect for the foodie tour. Interior This place is loved. It is very clear that the team take pride in their workspace. I found the cafe to be clean and the batista area is organised and often cleaned during the day. The decor is lovely and the toilets were well kept. Plenty of quieter seating at the rear and some more 'pit stop' seating at the front with the counter in the middle. Overall no complaints here Service Nice to see a cafe with a healthy number of staff. I think they get very busy as there was a small army ready to serve. I found all interactions to be pleasant. The team have quite a structured way to serve a customer and it works, we did notice that others were waiting a while on hot drinks but our milkshake came very quickly. Food/drink We had a stuffed cookie sandwich with an ocean of three types of chocolate poured on top and a cookie and creme milkshake. We have had it before but it is a real sugar overload... so so good! The chocolate is pure luxury and the milkshake has enough dairy content to balance the cookie but in honesty even after sharing these we still felt a bit over indulged. But I would do it again in a heartbeat! Price So I feel that this place is on the upper side of value, they are pushing it in terms of price but to be honest I would pay it again as the whole experience felt that little bit nicer than the ordinary cafe scene. What's an extra £1 or 2 for somewhere that you enjoy spending an hour or so! Overall If I lived closer I would pay this place a regular visit. I think it's a little gem in Bristols cafe scene.

Absolutely loved this chocolate house! The whole atmosphere is calming and looks cute! But let's just talk about the food! We travelled from London and it most definitely worth going here, as we went through Bristol! I spent my birthday afternoon indulging in sweet heaven! The fresh cookie dough was amazing (vegan options available) 😍 the sharing platter was the best option for a group of people because we got to try a range of things! And boy was it a show stopper 🤤🤌🏼🤤🤌🏼 I didn't talk to anyone and keep putting something in my mouth 🤣 I then decided it wasn't enough for me and bought a slice of dream cake, black forest and an oat cookie sandwich, all to eat the following day 🤩😍 and they still tasted fresh and were absolutely delicious! Lives up to it's name. Had a white hot chocolate with a piece of cake with white chocolate drizzled on top. Everything is freshly made in the shop kitchen at the back by the toilets and the hot chocolate was made with real white chocolate pieces. The display was packed full of drinks and cakes etc just wished they had something that was not dark chocolate cake such as white chocolate cake, gf or nut free. The store has a lot of competition around it but was worth the price. Staff member who served me was friendly but didn't upsell anything to me such as whipped cream on the hot chocolate etc. It would of been nice if a menu was present either on the table or back wall as I just saw posters but nothing that said about the allergens or where the products were from or the history of the shop. Overall, best chocolate shop I've been into would recommend for family or friends especially when it's near colleges, libraries etc.

My family and I had an impeccable experience at Mrs. Potter's. We travelled all the way from London, and my goodness were our expectations exceeded. The service was fantastic, the chocolate-- divine. Best Cookies ever found in UK. I'm a big fan of cookies and try a lot of places but this one is really the best to enjoy an amazing fresh cookie dough sandwich. Not too much sugar, crispy on the outside and soft on the insine, and with q generous ganache. Highly recommended with lot of options as vegan and chocolate one (the traditional one is perfect). Nice decorated place with friendly staff, reasonable price for the quality and the quantity of the foods. The snickers cake is amazing. Moist fluffy . Big portion very chocolatey . I'd prefer but more peanut butter to balance but that's just me . Only problem I had is the drinks. I ordered a coke for 2.60 and what showed up was a 150 ml mixer bottle . For 2.60 !! And I didn't even want diet coke I wanted original . But the cakes are amazing . You can tell it's good quality chocolate .

If you’re a chocolate lover, this place is for you! The cakes, the brownies and the cookies are delicious! And the extra chocolate (black, white or/and milk) on the top in case you’re a chocolate addict haha The hot chocolate are good too and there are so many possibilities, from white to 100% (I recommend the 100%, worth to try!). What a refreshing experience. Lovely staff & beautiful food, normally I find a place falls Short of customer service, but not here. Staff are welcoming & don’t rush you ( even if it’s busy ) when we had our shared platter the waiter was open & honest & said a item had fallen off & replaced it. I wouldn’t have know but his honesty was great full. It may be busy when you arrive & you may struggle for a table, but it is worth the wait. Chocolate house indeed! If you love chocolate then you just have to come here. The chocolate cookie sandwich is incredible, my jaw dropped a little when they asked me what kind of chocolate i wanted it dunked in! The chocolate covered strawberries are a must try. Only slightly disappointing things were the non-chocolatey items, choux bun wasnt the best and have had better milkshakes but ultimately you are here for chocolate so stock up!

Fantastic place to visit for those with a sweet tooth. I had a delicious coconut milk hot chocolate made with real dark chocolate that tasted like a bounty bar. The big kids enjoyed cookies and cream milkshakes and a toasted marshmallow milkshake. We shared some delicious cookies and sat outside off the street in the private courtyard. With friendly and relaxed service it was a great spot to visit. We will definitely be back during our time in Bristol.

This place is so nice! Lovely decor for a small date night and the staff are always happy to chat to you which is very rare for Bristol cafe's. The cakes on offer here are hands down the best in Bristol, i have such a sweet tooth and this place is absolutely perfect for exactly that.I have never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the food here and i have been here roughly 12 times since it opened (3 times in 1 week at one point) I really would urge you to take some time out of a busy day/ week and head here just to catch up, watching people walk by with a lovely hot chocolate and fantastic cake really can't be beaten and with the warm atmosphere created in the cafe you feel very at ease. Lovely caffe with so many choice!!! The dark hot chocolate was really nice and vegan cookie was also good! It will be cool to also have a low sugar desert option (i know its chocolate house but this could be good for people wanting low sugar :) ) It was quote packed so it was difficult to talk in the shop but definitely recommend!! Would like to try the real dark(100% chocolate) drink next :)!! Updated: Chocolate milk cookie with drizzle was great! I think this is my favourite dessert so far! Brownie was great too but having bundle of the mini chocolates could be great addition! Update:09.11.2020 With second lockdown they had the place ready for take away. Staff member were really lovely and it was great that they had a lot of options! I didn’t got asked for the melted chocolate so not sure if it is optional or only some times available? Had a rasbery blondie. It was literally the most tasteful dessert I have had in a long long while. Every atom of every bite felt like the blessing of god and made you feel existence and forget about any worries or problems you ever had or have. It was like nothing else matter but enjoying the heavenly flavour of this delicacy. After having it I even doubted it had drugs on it because my mood changed like if I had extasy, feeling so much more positive and happy. This dessert transported me to feeling at home, in an always safe place, most likely because all their desserts are homemade. It let me enjoy and be in the present and it felt like a forever happy pleasant sweet moment. I can't describe with words the amazing flavour of this breath taking brownie but I can describe with words how it made me feel. And it made me feel content, joyful and alive. And for this, I will always be grateful to Mrs Potts.

What an absolute treat! Gluten free chocolate cookies stuffed with white chocolate ganache, so delicious and rich you could only eat half at a time (unless you've been for a really big walk before!). £17 for a box of 6 but worth it as a treat. Certainly the best gf cookies I've had, no competition. The hot chocolate pack is also great, especially the giant marshmallows. And there is no going back for us with the chocolate bars now, N⁰3 was our favourite, a perfect balance of salty and sweet. I was impressed with the ease of the covid safe collection and dispite a missing item from our order when I called to rearrange collection they said they would deliver it instead and we had the missing item within the hour. I will absolutely reorder and wish I could eat one of those cookie sandwiches Every. Day.! Edit: Feb 22 - visited the cafe now eating in is an option again. Queue was put the door and even though it was a busy Saturday I think the overall service was a bit slow. Queuing to get in and then still a wait for our items after we had sat down. For me the seating is a little cramped. Food quality just as good if not better so luckily worth the wait!

This was the nicest thing to have on a snowy day - you can choose what type of chocolate you have in the fondue and you get all these things with it! (madeleines, fruit, homemade marshmallow). Only thing I've noticed is that the staff look pretty stressed both times I've been in and it does come across as a customer. Perhaps one thing to address :) But overall a very very good experience.

THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ARE WONDERFUL! This is my favourite place to grab a cup of coffee, it’s a tiny chocolate house with lots of yummy chocolate desserts! Everything from chocolate cakes to vanilla cupcakes and chocolate fondue! AMAZING! I totally recommend the chocolate strawberry fondues, so light and delishhh! The vanilla cupcake had lots of buttercream for my liking but it was still yummy. This place is really wonderful I just wish it had more seating places, it gets full really easily which is a bummer when your cravings kick in so badly and you have to wait for 45 minutes to find a seat. But hey, worth it!!!

We travelled out here on Valentine’s Day for some sweet treats. The s’more hot chocolate was delicious and coffee was okay. Unfortunately, the dream cake was basically a slab of ganache and no actually cake. The toilets were absolutely disgusting, bin was overflowing there was urine on the seat and floor and no soap. Sadly we won’t be going back.

I don't drink alcohol anymore and it was hard to find a place on Saturday night that wasn't a pub or bar. However this cafe was open till 9 on Saturday and it was just what I was looking for on a rainy Saturday evening, prefect for when trying to with an old friend.

I had a white chocolate hot chocolate, just kinda tasted like hot milk. They also ask if you want marshmallows but they actually mean a single marshmallow the size of a golf ball

I was skeptical of coming here as I love chocolate but everything on the menu seemed quite cakey… I was proven very wrong. The Dreamcake was amazing, honestly the best cake I’ve ever eaten, and contained what tasted like a white chocolate cream on the outside and regular chocolate between layers. The milkeshakes also tasted great. The staff were what made it though, very helpful and I made sure to leave a tip at the end.

I ordered two drinks from here (Chocolate Brownie milkshake and strawberry milkshake). Each milkshake cost around £5 each which is expected. I was glad both drinks were vegan They tasted great and I'd buy them again. However, they use single use plastic packaging. If they used eco-friendly packaging I would give this place five stars.

Mrs Potts chocolate shop does exactly what is says...sells chocolate. But it's not that simple..the recipes take a mixture of chocolate, fruit, cream, ice cream and make delicious concoctions. They have a ramp to allow wheelchair access but all toilets are accessible down a flight of steep stairs where there's also a courtyard. The decor makes the cafe fairly dark towards the back which could be seen as cosy. They have gluten free options but unfortunately I was unable purchase a cookie sandwich because they were place on an open tray between 2 trays of non gluten free. They are made I the same kitchen but staff weren't able to assure me that the area was thoroughly cleaned before they were made. A good experience overall and well worth going back as a special treat!

A delightful place to catch up with friends and family over a tea/ coffee and cake. This is a popular place with indoor and street tables. The staff are welcoming and friendly, offering appropriate suggestions and recommendations. I met a friend here and shared the carrot cake and the salted caramel chocolate cake. Both are very rich but delicious. I fancied more tea so my teapot was refilled with boiling water which was fine for me (but might not have been strong enough for someone who enjoys a bit more colour and taste). That suited my pocket too as done at no charge. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend this venue. Already looking forward to my next visit!!

I got in touch with customer service and Eve was an absolute delight to deal with, sending replacements out which arrived very quickly. As a person who drove the business for about 3 months daily if not, bi-daily visits, I can assure you, those were some of the most satisfying and scrumptious food-wise of my life. The staff are always lovely and fun, and are the type of staff which invite you with open arms and you almost find yourself wanting to be best friends with every time you see them. The lovely thing is, they remember you, which means loyalty is both redeeming and day making for someone who usually devotes themselves to shops without much recognition. Aside from the customer service being some of the best in Bristol, the treats are ever changing and adapting so regulars don't get bored, with exciting options to add chocolate at the end or just take it plain. I wouldn't just recommend this, I take all of my friends and the result is always clear: they love it there as do i.

Hot chocolate here is the best I've ever had. If you're going to have a cake too make sure you go with an empty stomach - the portions are nice and big and you will want to be able to eat all of it! The ganache filled cookie sandwiches are my favourite of the cakes.

Oh my lord. This place is lush for sweet treats and hot chocolate. It's very sickly if you get a hot chocolate with a sweet treat/cake/cookie but worth sharing. The service was shocking and we had to ask for our drinks twice and the tables didn't get cleaned at all when we were there. We kept moving the dirty plates to other tables. Would visit again for the hot chocolate and cakes but don't expect amazing service.

Loved It! Amazing! This cafe should have been around my whole life. Great drinks and food could not falter, defiantly recommend and will go back. I loved the Mrs Potts original Hot Chocolate 100% cocoa - it’s intense, but it went down a treat with a toasted marshmallow. I like dark chocolate so if you’re not into dark chocolate I’d recommend the classic hot chocolate which I also loved. The lemon tart was amazing, the brownies are great as was the dipping pots and the others loved the hazelnut tart (I couldn’t try as I would explode but just a great excuse to have to go back).

Pretty good all in all, the only reason it's four stars is I feel £4.50 for a single small pot and a small amount of fruit is a bit high. I feel £3/3.50 would be more suited because the chocolate itself is excellent. A fabulous little cafe offering a variety of cakes and hot chocolate. My advice would be not to have a choccy cake and choccy hot chocolate as it was a little overkill! The only disappoint I experienced was we were not given any serviettes and I couldn't see any at the till. I Would have liked one for obvious reasons. And it was rather cold, but this was probably due to the door being open all the time as there was a long que.

We've been here plenty of times and the food and drinks are wonderful, usually the atmosphere is too but when we went yesterday we were hovered over the entire time we were there by who we assumed was the manager. He made us feel very unwelcome and like he was trying too hard to turn the table over lightning-fast. We couldn't relax. He watched us closely and the second my partner put his cup down after taking the last sip it was whisked away, which made me feel like I had to hurry with mine. Not the most relaxing pre-Valentine's date that we had hoped for. From walking in the door to leaving we must have only been in there for a total of 20 minutes, as we were essentially ushered into hurrying and leaving. Disappointing from a place we usually love.
