D. C.What a great coffee hut! One aspect I forget about, people who work st artisan coffee shops, that this certainly is, care about coffee. They talk about coffee passionately, are really informative, warm and chatty. The owner of the establishment gave excellent coffee drink recommendations. With it being a beautiful day, post Wales Velo, and this being an outside coffee venue. I decided to grab a hessian coffee bag that belonged to Brodie’s. I sat in the shade and thoroughly enjoyed all the coffee-ables.

L.Called by after visiting my office for the first time in 16 months. Had a tea and a tuna melt panini and sat on a nearby bench as all the tables were taken. Nice to see people just having normal conversations over a nice brew.

L. C.Visited Cardiff for a weekend away. Found this great coffee shop whilst doing the typical touristy things. Located in lovely surroundings with very pleasant staff. Took the cup home to keep purely because my dog is also called Brodie !! Would definitely pay them a visit when we next come back, highly recommended.

Aside from the great coffee, this is a business which does so much good for the community, it's an asset that should be treasured and supported - and in return you get great coffee (did I mention that?!)

L.I don't live or work near here, but my partner does, and whenever I drop her at work I try to make a little diversion to Brodies for excellent coffee, delicious cakes and treats and friendly chats with the lovely staff that work here. If you're lucky, you may even be able to nab one of the more sheltered tables (ideal for the changeable Cardiff weather!).

C. J.Oh I missed this place so much during lockdown. Superb coffee (strong but flavourful espresso, and sometimes a batch brew), excellent brownies and just really lovely people.
They're back open now (I think around 10:30-15:30) (as of June 2020) and the coffee is way nicer than anything else nearby.
Even better on a sunny day: there's plenty space in Gorsedd Gardens to socialise and socially distance.

M.This is the most personalised hot beverage experience I've ever had - I'm not a coffee drinker, but he will bend over backwards to find something you like after asking a bit about what you enjoy. I've been a few times and he remembers me and my next adventurous beverage to try. My coffee-drinking friends assure me the coffee is also fantastic and he's always working on new things for the menu. Toasties and baked goods also yummy :)

I made the mistake of saying I fancied oat milk and a cappuccino, but that the oat milk cappuccinos I've had in the past were disappointing and so I'd go for a flat white. Well, the gentleman behind the counter (who'd just had to listen to a long winded conversation from my friend and I) promised I'd been going to all the wrong places and that his oat milk cappuccino would be delicious - and it was. Lovely service, witty board signs and tasty cappuccinos - what more could you want?
