i. e.First visit before seeing Wales sadly lose to Ireland. Went for double cheese and bacon burger; massive and probably only needed the one burger. Fries were also delicious. Highly recommend this spot and will be here again when next in Cardiff.

J. C.Had both toasties and burgers on the trip and both were great street food at great prices. The meats were very flavorful without feeling too fatty.
The only knock is the buns for the burgers were untoasted normal buns... felt like a missed opportunity to have a perfect burger start to finish but in NO way ruins the burger.

A. L.This is an amazing place right in the middle of Cardiff. You can sit in the open air and really believe you are somewhere on mainland Europe, with your £1.50 coffee or £1.20 tea. The inexpensive food is really good as well. Definitely worth a visit

S. L.This place is one of the landmarks of Cardiff ... the building hasn't changed since I was a student in 1981 (probably a lot longer). Food back then was always cheap and cheerful. Local wisdom in the 90's was that the owner had been offered huge sums of money by various outlets who wanted to bring it up to date but that the owner refused to sell because he enjoyed running it. Delighted to see the place, outwardly at least, is still unchanged.

It is our go to place for an amazing burger! For the first time I ever went, I kept on calling it "The Beautiful Burger Shop" because what you get for the price and size is amazing! J. B.It's not hard to find this place. Situated in the dead centre of Cardiff about a minutes walk from the saint David's 2 shopping centre.
So to start with its sometimes a pleasant seating area to either chill and people watch or somewhere to eat some grub.
In regards to grub; you will see 4 shacks surrounding the seating area.
You have a fish and chips stand, a burger and bap ( among other fast foods) stand, a falafel and pizza stand and a Jamaican style food stand.
The chippy is awful. The only thing they succeed in is curry sauce and gravy.
The burger and bap stand is not great. For a place that upsell bacon baps somehow messes up said bap.
The Jamaican though is great. Offering a large selection on carribean style foods that are quick and tasty and has a daily special.
The falafel stand is awesome ( for someone that's not an avid falafel fan) this place makes this falafel Pitta bread scrumptious thing that is enjoyable but goes so quick because you will devour it.
All depends on what you enjoy.
