Visited for lunch with my partner and had an amazing meal. Everything on their menu is completely vegan but you wouldn't know it from the taste. We thoroughly enjoyed a sandwich and bagel, which were delicious and hearty, but the star of the show was the Frappe. We're both lactose intolerant so were delighted that we could enjoy a Frappe without feeling deathly ill for once, and they were amazing! Recommended for both vegans and non-vegans alike.

Came in as we had someone with dairy intolerance in our group expecting to hate it as a non-vegan. Proved very wrong! Flat white with oat milk is better than most ‘normal’ flat whites and the original brownie is seriously the best brownie ever made. Lovely, friendly relaxed atmosphere, too. Didn’t even laugh at me when I asked if all the cakes were definitely vegan as he stood under the 100% vegan sign.

Food simple but you can feel they put heart in all dishes. The cheese melt exactly right texture and the pitta bread crispy toasted ! Pumpkin spices latte is warm and nice. Beautiful interior, relax atmosphere. £9.5 for 1 hearty dish with hot drink, what else can you ask for ? They got few range of cakes, some vegan choice as well, definitely come back next time :)

We went in for lunch for the first time today and will definitely be going back. Their jacket potatoes with chickpea no-tuna and coronation no-chicken were amazing, so flavourful. We also took home some incredible carrot cake and super rich chocolatey brownie. There was so much else on the menu we want to try. I would highly recommend Caffe Sala. Love a vegan cafe, I wish there was one in every town/city. We enjoyed a jacket with beans and cheese, and a club sandwich with potato salad. We had biscoff frappes which were lovely, we wanted cake but we were stuffed! Thanks guys we will be back!

It's always a great place to stop off, whether you just want a coffee or a meal this is the place to go! The cakes are to die for (I aim to try all of them one day!), the coffee is rich and fresh, and the food is delicious. Go here! Great & varied selection of vegan food & drinks. Loads of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and other hot dishes, and banging salads (had a great Thai salad today with cashews in it 🤤). Staff are friendly. Service can be a little slow but that's because it's popular! Recommend it thoroughly.

I ran in here as rain was bad and needed something to eat, I had not realised it was a plant based cafe, normally I would have bypassed this as didn't think I'd like it, but I was pleasantly surprised! I had a Pesto 'cheese' and tomato turnover, and a Oatmilk Latte, both very nice and has turned my head to this kind of food and drink! The service was very good aswell.

Visited this café for take-away coffee on our first day out in Colchester (ever) a couple of weeks ago and found out that they'd just turned full vegan. My husband and I aren't vegan but decided to still try their lattes with oat milk as the two barristas were very friendly and promised us free coffees next time if we didn't like them! The coffee was great but the super friendly and welcoming staff was even nicer, which ensures that we'll be going back for sure!

Regularly stop in here for a coffee and sometimes one of their tasty cakes. All the ladies are really friendly and welcoming and the service is good. Great little spot in town with an upstairs area with a few toys to keep the little ones entertained.

This is one of my favourite coffee shops in the U.K. after moving to Bristol we still drive back for cake, even if just for the day. Service can be up and down but then it’s busy and is still a better friendlier service than say Starbucks or Nero. Cakes are always yummy and have a great selection including the vegan cakes.

Only three stars because of not friendly staff. Every time we visit we are leaving laughing it off how me and my friend are so nice to the staff and they are super rude and indifferent. For example, we would actually approach a few of them and say ‘thank you very much, see you soon’ and they turn and look away! It’s so bad it’s actually rare to see this kind of service in UK( by the way I am referring to the female members of staff), one male that I have encountered was in fact friendly. I do like this place though for their tasty cream teas-fresh scones and delicious teas+ the presentation is very cute.

Coffee was average. The place had a fake feel to it. All the tables are small. It reminds me of a doll house. Some staff was alright, some other staff was hyperactive and so smiley one could imagine some an artificial substance was the cause. At least they allow for smoking outside and they have cool ashtrays. (PS, I don't smoke but my friends do).

Amazing little cafe in the Essex capital of Veganism. Cannot recommend highly enough, great cakes which are almost all vegan and great hot drinks.
