I have had 2 cakes from here for an occasion back to back. The staff are very acknowledging & welcoming. Very pleased with the service provided & how professional and polite the staff came across. The cake tasted fresh and indulging. The shop is very clean and organized. Lots of variety to choose from. Prices are competitive but worth it.

Very nice bakery. I had the banana nut cake and the gingerbread pumpkin cake. Both were delicious. Nice selection of breads and cakes. Cookies looked alright. Staff was efficient if not overly friendly. To be fair we were there later in the day and might have just been tired. Looking forward to trying the bread.

Just popped in Saturday morning for a coffee. Also got a bacon roll, a sausage roll and a little raspberry merangue. Everything was really satisfying. A lovely place to sit down for a coffee&cake, will be going back for breakfast soon. We sat at one of the tables but would like to test the funky yellow armchairs next time!

Nice local bakery and cafe with good selection of food and sandwiches. Bakery items are delicious. Generous sized portions at a good price. Opens early for breakfast and open until after lunch. Closed Sundays. Good selection of freshly baked bread.

Popped in for the first time on the way back from supermarket for some bread and absolutely amazed by the quality and service. I won't ever buy bread from anywhere else now, these guys have phenomenal products and are lovely to deal with. Support more local artisans 🙌😍

Great place for breakfast with delicious food and attentive friendly staff. Very good stock bakery with lots of artisan products that are reasonably priced. Plenty of parking around so we didn’t stress like before going to town centre. Definitely recommend Blackberry Bakery Thank you

Visited the bakery after the Post Office run. The Cornish Pasty was amazing. Warm soft flaked pastry. The meat inside was tender and moist. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely visit the bakery again. Thumbs up from me 😍😍😋🙏🏿

Fantastic late Breakfast. Food was very good. Massive range of sandwiches, Massive! The shop counter was breathtaking my senses became overwhelmed by the large selection of fresh baked food. Friendly staff and a good service. The 'whole place' was immaculately clean and modern with lazy laidback chairs that just makes you want to stay till afternoon tea. We opted for the dining table and chairs as we only did a pit stop. My quick cup of tea and sandwich will have to do for today but this will easily become a place to revisit.

Came on Saturday morning around 11am,was slightly discouraged by the queue but it actually went by fast! Their almond croissant was very rich and butter.Their scones were nice,perfect to pair with a takeaway coffee. Well done and thank you.

The staff are so friendly and extremely helpful, especially during this time. I have been able to get all my baking Ingredients including fresh yeast. What a wonderful bakery, Pleasant & welcoming staff, Good Covid19 procedures (One customer in at a time) and the individual Lemon Meringue pie's are divine. Will definitely be returning to sample more products. Give this bakery your business, You will not be disappointed.

Hands down one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. Everything is good there! My favorites are the chocolate croissants and light rye. Perfectly baked crust, I come here every time I visit Colchester.. The only bad thing...parking on site and with all good food-you'll have to wait in a long line to get your food. Seating is limited but that's ok. Get your food to go and enjoy!

As a sourdough bread fan, I visited this place as part of my Colchester visit. Words can't do justice to the magic of their sourdough. Cant" wait to be back. They do a great job with their brras and cakes! The perpetual long line of customers is there a good reason! Well done.

Visited for the first time this morning, the shop was full of amazing freshly baked treats (literally wanted to buy a bit of everything.) It has lots of treats for the children their face when I pulled out the "Giant Jammy Dodger" was like Charlies face finding the golden ticket. We will definitely return.

I regularly visit to pick up a croissant on my way to work. The staff are very friendly and even know what I want each time i come in (I almost always get the same thing!) And they appreciate that i am in a rush so make sure the transaction is done quickly! The croissants are the best I've had from anywhere :)

The Bakery is magnificent. Everything is delicious. The only negative is deciding what not to eat. In the current situation they are being efficient and considerate to all in keeping up with demand. Be polite to their staff folks, they deserve the same respect you would accord to anyone.

Undaunted by reading the negative reviews, we chanced a visit for afternoon tea. Rather than intimidatingly small, we thought it cosy and to be warm and accommodating on a cold day. Greeted by friendly staff and served in good time, the food (3 plates: variety of freshly made sandwiches, cream scones & jam topped off by cream cakes) made good eating, its consumption facilitated by ample and gratifyingly palatable coffee. We shall revisit.

This has to be the best bakery in colchester, everything is so fresh, the bread not only stays fresh for over a week, but does not go mouldy, pasties, pies, sausage rolls etc. are lovely, & the different cakes they do are gorgeous, started buying my bread there some time ago, haven't brought bread from anywhere since.....
