This place is AMAZING! We have visited this place a few weeks ago with the aim to spend an evening with high-quality food in a cozy area and this place has not only fulfilled but exceeded my expectations! The place looks brilliant due to high attention to many interior details which creates a fancy-looking environment. The food quality is incredible. We have ordered pasta and I have to admit that was the best pasta I have encountered. They managed to bring whole Italy to my plate and deliver the pasta of thousand flavours. Finally, the service quality is exceptional. Our waiter TOM did an outstanding job by making suggestions for the menu choices, introducing the history of the restaurant as well as making the evening even more special with an everlasting smile. Overall, a brilliant place for a cozy evening with the highest standard food and service. I would highly recommend it!

We booked on line for a party of four but didn't really need to. There was plenty of space. We were shown to a secluded table in the far end of the restaurant. We were soon revisited for a drinks order, our friends soon arrived and had their drinks order taken too. After a few minutes, our food order was taken and that soon arrived, starter then main, then dessert when needed, even though we asked for quite a bit of time before the main and dessert. We were asked about drinks refills throughout and the food was amazing! We were the last in the restaurant before the 10pm closing before but were not rushed at all. The service was great, warm, chatty, helpful and welcoming. I've never been to Carluccio's before but will definitely go back soon.

A good place for authentic Italian food. The garlic cheesy bread was soaking in buttery goodness, i would definitely get that. The mushroom risotto was beautiful however the ravioli was ok, needs a little more flavour. The drink was very nice and different. It's a shame none of the meat is halaal because there's only so much vegetarian good you can get. However i would still go agai as it's local and different

We called in Carluccios’s for breakfast whilst shopping in Derby and it far exceeded our expectations. The veggie breakfast was absolutely superb and a great change from the usual ‘full English’. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection with chives, the tomatoes had a hint of garlic and the sourdough toast was topped with olive oil. We’ll be back. Great value too.

I came here a few days ago. I ordered from the gluten free menu, everything was fine and very professional service. Sadly something in the meal was not gluten free despite ordering from the gf menu and the waiter saying it was as they brought the food so had no reason to doubt. Some sort of communication issue with the chef but it was absolutely gluten, shortly after the meal I had a cramp in my stomach and the following day a very very dry mouth and extreme thirst which is a sign of water not being absorbed by the villi as the immune system destroys some where the gluten is mainly attached. I assume it was probably the pasta given the type of immune response. Haven't had such an attack in a good few years but hopefully they can review communications with the chef. The food was however very nice, and I would still go back but probably avoid pasta based to something I could kinda tell if it is or isn't.

Overall the service was excellent, food was spot on and by the time we left it was busy! £42 for two people, drinks and 3 courses, really can't be faulted.

Traditional Italian in the chain of Antonio Carluccio TV chef .... I love the atmosphere and bright cleanliness of the restaurant, the staff are always friendly and the manageress is from Sicily. I stopped off for breakfast and was sat within seconds having been greeted at the door, now as with traditional Italian restaurants the emphasis is on relaxed dining and not your usual fast burger joint. Carluccio's does not disappoint.. Fresh ingredients in the hands of expertly trained chefs, make this definitely food to savour and remember. I love the shop and cook books, authentic Italian bread and pastries to take away, Gift sets and bottles of limoncello. Would have got five stars and a gratuity except one of the drinks staff was wiping his nose and touching his face then handling drink glasses but this was pointed out to the management and hand sanitiser applied. He must stop his habitual arse touching and wiping his hands on his jeans. I am very mindful of the no tip no smile of serving staff and this has to be addressed to.

We loved being made to feel very special in Carluccio's. The team made every effort to ensure we were well looked after and the quality of the food was very good. It is just such a shame that there were not more customers. Apparently they have more diners early in the evening..... Come on people, get out and support your local businesses. Our local Carliccio's has not reopened and so we made a point of visiting this one whilst we were in the area.

This restaurant serves Italian food and I believe that most of the meals are based of recipes by Carluccio himself, you can Google this chef and see the types of things he likes to cook. Overall, my experience there was quite nice, you wait at the entrance and someone will come to give you your seat. We got seated at a rather nice table, it's not the most spacious, but you can also sit 'outside', the area which isn't in the restaurant. The food was very good, I enjoyed every bite and they have options for children, as I had a dish with crispy chicken. I took off one star because the service was a bit slow, I must say we did wait a while before they gave us the food, but the food really was delicious, so we dealt with it.

Wonderful food, I would recommend the chef specials highly! I have courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta which was unbelievably good. It's a shame you cannot escape the hustle and bustle of the intu centre but otherwise top notch.

The front of house service was slow even though the restaurant was half empty and there were plenty of staff just milling around. Twice the waiting staff took a drinks order and promptly forgot about it until we reminded them. Same thing with the appetisers - we ordered bread and olives but they never arrived so we had to ask for them to be removed from the bill. The food was great though - 1/5 for service and 4/5 for food.

Fantastic experience! I had a sea-food pasta for a main, which was beyond my expectations for an Italian restaurant in the UK. The clams were so delicious (tasted like sea), and the pasta well cooked, while the sauce so tasty - I would maybe want the sauce with a bit less oil, but that does not affect much the over-all experence. It was my wife's birthday and we wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate. Carluccio's didn't disappointe. They have a Gluten Free menu with a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts. We both had gluten free pasta dishes and a gluten free chocolate cake and it was all delicious. The prices are quite expensive but for a special occasion justifiable.

We ate here after the cinema with our 4 year old daughter who's birthday it was that day. It was busy but the service was outstanding - we had a lovely lady (called Kirsty - I think) and she was brilliant. She was great with our daughter and took her off to see the Chef and as a surprise they bought out a lovely dessert with candles and a lot of the staff sang happy birthday. Really special. Food was good - we had the set menu - think there were better things on the main menu but it was still nice. We had the traditional Panettone and it was gorgeous. Definitely would recommend.
