I had my 24th birthday party here a couple weeks ago, lovely set up, very girly just how I wanted it, cakes/scones were freshly baked, would definitely come back again, but one thing I would need to criticise is that the sandwiches were wet, not all but quite a few and wasn’t a fan of the quiche either

We had a lovely afternoon tea here for my mum's 90th birthday 🎂 . Everything was perfect, the good was lovely and we had bottomless tea and coffee. Doggy boxes to take home the leftovers! Nice 5 minute wander into Markeaton Park afterwards too . Would recommend.

Stumbled upon this little gem on a morning walk with the dog and fancied a breakfast to heal the everso slightly delicate feeling from the night before. Roaring log burner on the go, and dogs welcome inside and out. Had an 8 item breakfast and a coffee all in for £6.95 which was enjoyed. Nice cosy setting needed on a sunny but cold morning.

This tea room is perfect, the cakes are delicious and the service is prompt and very friendly, there was a lovely homely fire as it was a bit chilly and the specials change daily which is lovely for variation, would highly recommend this café

What a gem! We've been visitors to Markeaton Park for over 30 years but only found this delightful little tearoom just outside the gates today. Lots of lovely cakes to sample and proper coffee. Rely friendly staff too. We'll certainly be going there again.

I went for a baby shower last Saturday and I was impressed with the amount of food and selection we had. The cakes were delicious especially the carrot cake and there was a good selection of sandwiches too. The venue was lovely and for the amount we paid I was more than happy with the food and venue. We were even discussing another event being held there again. So thanks very much for s lovely time.

This was the lovely Rustic style Cafe. We loved it, We brought my mother here today for a Afternoon tea. It was child friendly, The meals were lovely, Afternoon tea was gorgeous and the cakes selection 😋 was yummy - last but certainly not least the service was excellent from both Mel and Scarlet. Big thank you and especially to Mel for making my mothers birthday that extra bit special 💗 that was such a beautiful gesture what you did and she loved it thank you so much you lovely and thoughtful lady. We will be definitely back.

Lovely little tea / coffee shop which we found whilst on a walk. Service was excellent and the coffee and cake really nice. Plenty of outside seating so we could sit outside with the dogs and they also got a dog biscuit so well happy. Definitely worth a visit and right next to Markeaton Park for anyone looking for a nice coffee. Will definitely be visiting again and they have the covid procedures all in place.

Had a lovely afternoon tea for a baby shower this weekend! Service was amazing, food was even better! We had some really tasty sandwiches with different fillings. Two little scones with jam and cream each and a massive selection of cakes! Including bakewell tart, chocolate brownies, carrot cakes (which were the best ive ever had) and a few other little pieces of cake. Get loads for your money. Lots of tea and coffee to keep everyone going too and was a lovely afternoon! The afternoon tea was all served and beautiful bone china sets, and the function room was set out nice and it was lovely and warm in there as they had put heaters on for us! Can’t recommend the place enough. Everyone was happy and the left over cake all went home with everyone. In face some were arguing over who took the left over carrot cake! Will certainly be returning 😍

Went here for a baby shower on Saturday. There was plenty of beautifully presented food and as much tea/coffee as we wanted. As we weren’t in the main cafe the staff left us to it a bit which was lovely but someone popped in every 10 minutes or so to see if we needed anything else and to top up the tea and coffee pots.

Went for a special retirement afternoon tea and it was superb! Brilliant room, decorated lovely, vintage crockery and cake stands. Sandwiches and cakes were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Highly recommended!

Lovely little tea room. Amazing cakes, was served quickly and made very welcome, not expensive either. The decor is lovely inside, the fairylights make it very cosy! Will have to come back in the winter when the log burner is on as well 😄

We went for breakfast this morning Very well organised and extremely well thought out to keep customers and staff safe . We were able to sit inside as both parts of the tearooms were open to allow for the social distancing. Breakfast was as good as all ways ☺ So pleased to see you back 🤗xx

This is a really cosy and welcoming cafe. Melanie Bayes and Mark Roberts who are partners in this adventure have created an old fashioned homely atmosphere. Especially on cooler days with a roaring stove fire. A large outside seating area is available. Dogs welcome inside. A separate function room available for hire, with or without food. Look out for special function evenings too. There was a ghost evening at the beginning of November.......Wow!

Mark and Shanne hosted a Psychic Evening on the 7th Nov and what a beautiful job they did. This place is a total oasis and they set the scene beautifully. I was actually the Medium that night and they supported me fully from my initial contact with them through to the event..thank you..... ..The "crowd" were wonderful and we worked as a a team thats for sure ......Some of my clients unbeknowst to me until the event attended and each and EVERYONE of them have relayed back to me that now they know the place exists they will certainly be revisiting..ALL said the event as a WHOLE was a wonderful fascinating experience...food and venue were beautiful..excellent value for money BUT what really sticks out from thier comments is the peace they found whilst there and kindness. Two ladies arrived 2 hrs early due to logistics but said the kindness from the owners was beyond compare..tea straight away..fire put on etc. What a wonderful thing to give and be appreciated for it makes such a difference to people. Thank you ALL for such a lovely evening MMx ( And Spirit ofcourse). X
