Wonderful Afternoon Tea for my Sister’s birthday. We had a beautifully set table in the gazebo with views of the lock and canal. The service was brilliant and the food plentiful and delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty with plenty of tea and coffee. We were checked on often and felt very looked after. Would definitely recommend a visit and will be back to try more off the delicious looking menu.

We often call in when passing on our walks. We personally find the atmosphere to be welcoming and friendly. The menu is quite extensive for the size of the cafe. They also offer lovely cakes and desserts. Prices are reasonable and we have always found the food to be good quality. Their toasties are gorgeous. The premises are always clean and tidy. This cafe has a great view of Stenson Lock and is great place for relaxing and watching the canal boats with good food.

This is a lovely cafe. I've been a customer for over a decade and it's always been a super place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Lovely owner who will go the extra mile for you with a personal service. They've made lots of little improvements over the years. A wonderful place for boaters, walkers, cyclists and drivers.

Great little cafe in a pretty canal lockside location. Coffee is spot on, tried three of the cakes so far and they've been great. Midweek visit was better in the sun, but even in the drizzle today it was a pleasant stop mid bike ride.

Thee is now outdoor seating available, as well as a covered veranda. Home made cakes, & snacks available. Nice to sit & watch the canal boats go through the lock. Parking though can be an issue.

Amazing place with lovely people. It's perfect. The cafe overlooks the lock where lots of boats enter and leave the canal. Lots of people come and go bustling with activity but not overcrowded. Lovely food. A place I go every morning to study. Just a shame they close by 3pm otherwise I'd be there longer

Had a lovely walk along the lock with hubby and my visiting parents and we dropped into the cafe for lunch on our way back to the car. We had ham egg and chips and were not disappointed, there was plenty of ham and more than enough chips, we barely had room for pudding but managed to squeeze in an individual Victoria sponge each, delicious and would recommend heartily 😁

After a long walk of 16 miles along the canal it was a welcome break. Tea and cake sitting near the canal watching the world go by was pleasant. The Bubble Inn was only a few minutes away if something stronger was required but I never went.

A quaint little family-run cafe serving simple fried food, cold snacks and drinks. There are only a few tables in this cafe that appears to be a converted house, but there is enough space to enjoy your drink or breakfast. The price of the coffee was a downside for me, costing well above average for a spoon of low quality instant coffee and hot water. Please consider a bean coffee machine to improve the experience.

I've been visiting Stenson Lock Coffee Shop with family and friends for years due to its dependably good quality food, drink and service. Sitting out looking at the canal barges on the lock is always a pleasure and a walk up the tow path towards the railway before visiting the coffee shop is a great way to get fresh air amongst nature and to build up an appetite for tasty refreshments.
