This is a brilliant little cafe with great rich tasting coffee (tastes better than most places in the local area) a great range of cakes and fantastic service from a younger staff that is superbly supervised by the manager or her assistant. There is a great sense of pride and teamwork in making sure the customer is satisfied. I wish I lived closer!

The Little Shed in Allestree is a real gem. I visited today with my mum and sister in law for afternoon tea. The food is home made to a fantastically high standard and the staff are attentive throughout.

Lovely cream tea for 2 ordered as a birthday surprise for a friend and her mum - perfect! Thank you. Also treated myself to a gluten free version for 1. Delicious, fresh cream, soft and crumbly scone, pot of jam and a strawberry as garnish!

Visited 30th October 2020. I do not normally review unless the experience is excellent and yesterday was excellent. They made just for my visit a gluten free scone which I had with clotted cream and jam and the obligatory cuppa. Staff were very polite and helpful. Location very pleasing on the eye. Super clean. Selection of cakes very good including 2 other GF. The “afternoon tea” that others diners had looked scrumptious and very appealing. Would certainly encourage others to visit. Overall lovely experience and would definitely visit again when in the area. Ian M

Great cafe and gift shop. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Shop set up well for social distancing, with hand sanitizer available on the way in and tables spaced out. Lovely trinkets and cards available inside and LOVE the fabulous cake.

Lovely little shop with divine food. Second time I've been in the last couple of weeks and was faultless, beautiful coffee and brunch as well as took some of the best cakes I've had in ages home. My dog had been in the car with me for an unexpected long journey and one of the ladies there gave me a bowl for her to have a drink and keep - thank you, this was so much appreciated by me and my dog!! Outstanding service and generosity.

The food is lovely and the staff are so friendly. Very small inside, however, that is what makes this place great and have such a nice feel to it. I have booked in the past to get the time slot I wanted as it gets very busy. The shop side is very nice too and does really nice cards and gifts.

A lovely place, but on such a busy road. My advise would be to park further down the road if you can. All of the staff who served me today were lovely, i highly recommend the Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, it's amazing.

Absolutely lovely place. Went for afternoon tea for my Birthday. Large pots of tea unlike most places where you have to ask for more. Sandwiches are one of the best I've ever tasted as the bread is so great, some places I've been to bread is a bit dry. Cakes are very yummy too.

Beautiful little place. My family and I had a wonderful experience when we visited today. My granddaughter booked us by chance after we had been to the West Mill where she will be having her wedding reception. Staff are very attentive and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Food was wonderful and cakes to die for. Looking forward to paying another visit. Highly recommend.
